I have been beating this drum for a hot minute!!!!
Blackmon and Harrison at FS and SS, respectfully.
Carlies and the UDFA Young as the coverage backers.
Franklin and Speed on running downs and other short yardage situations
it might work out good

imo there are more qb injuries since the mobile qb thing is now in style in the nfl. not saying pocket passers dont get hurt they do. the game seems to be changing and injuries seem to be part of it.

Picking top 5 is way extreme. Not with Steichen here now.
But I don't really see TEN finishing ahead of IND in the AFCS as delusional or hate.
TEN's three biggest weaknesses, OL, WR and CB, were heavily addressed.
Suddenly, WR and CB are probably strengths. OL should improve from a bottom unit. They likely won't all be great, but these could be some huge difference makers.
And just last year, TEN was competitive against the Colts with Levis. If we think AR can take a step, we have to consider that Levis could as well.
I think AFCS is as strong as it's ever been.
elite receivers can make a qb look good and they do have them now. but that does not mean they will do better than the colts

ballard may like who we have on the roster now
we have brooks, blackmon, cross, dabo, denbo, thomas and tutsie , ballard must think they can play or he would not have them on the roster

Simmons has been waiting for a moment just like this…. an injury occurs during early training and the chance for the starting spot is now very much in play. If the Colts want him, or another vet like Simmons, now's the time to reach out.
ballard may like who we have on the roster now

Slovis. By week 4, the colts will realize they have found the next Brock Purdy.
it would be great

Mo gota go!! Lots of money would be saved and His blocking seems to have fallen off the past year or so.
imo he should be used more in the red zone for pass catching
-
after all of ballards failed attempts at drafting a truly elite pass rusher I think imo he has finally drafted a game changer at pass rush.

Our secondary is atrocious, hoping Latu helps them out.
it would help a lot if we could bring pressure on most snaps , sacks are good but constant pressure is even better imo

The first game this year could make or break the Colts and/or the Texans. Every point could be critical.
i dont see the colts beating the texans at all this season , the texans have added more elite talent
they will dominate our division this season, I hate to say it but it is reality

maybe not a starter but I think dulin will be a pleasant surprise this season

i dont care what any football player or kicker says or his beliefs are. i only care about him missing his field goals against the colts. i certainly dont care what is said on social media

the realist in me because of the weak secondary and unproven talent on the team sees 7 wins. but the fan in me sees 10 wins

When you do sit back and analyze the draft most of the picks in front of the Colts make sense.
1) Williams. Not a fan of the player but I get it.
2) Daniels- Need a qb and #2 rated qb
3) Maye-I think the Giants and another team wanted him bad but Patriots just decided to get him and not move back.
4)They needed to pair Harrison with the midget and justify that stupid contract they gave Murray. Give Murray the most polished and tallest receiver in the draft lol.
5)Harbaugh loves the trenches and wouldn't pass on Ault. Look at Harbaugh's history in building a team.
6) I think the Giants really wanted Maye and were trying to move up but Patriots were not budging. They picked best player available in Nabors and hoping it will help Jones and it wont.
7) Need to protect Levis as the GM picked him last year and need to see if he is the guy
8)Now this is where it went off the rails and stupidest pick in NFL history I think. I had the best D player going here
9) They wanted to pair the 3rd best wr on their board with Williams and I called it when people said the Colts would trade with the Bears and grab a receiver at #9. I get it but would have picked Murphy as it is a perfect fit for Eberflus' defense.
10) Minny loves McCarthy and moved up one spot to make sure they got him.
11) Picked best OT on the board as they need to protect Rodgers upright as the coach and GM will be gone if they dont make the play offs
12) If he was still there, Nix is a perfect qb for what Sean wants
13)Bowers is elite but luxury pick. I would have went best D player on the board. They drafted a tight end high last year. I thought a dumb pick
14) Saints could have picked best player and they went Oline so cannot fault him
15) Ballard should have bought a lottery ticket the day of the draft because Latu fell into his lap. No need to think it over just turn the card!
like all but disagree on bowers imo he will be a kelse and gronk type of talent

Should be Mitchell(4.34), Pierce(4.41) and Gould(4.39), if you want the (3) fastest.
Downs(4.48)
We have some explosive WRs.
what about dulin

If true that means like most of us know there was 4 pass catchers colts thought was a big upgrade.
a lot of the recent super bowl winners had game changing tight ends bowers would have been a nice addition but i like who we got, imo an a plus draft

Would you rather have a top rated safety/linebacker or the 10th rated receiver? With how many receivers flew off the board, the value there gets pushed back until the 4th/5th. I was hoping for a good one to fall but knew better because the top 7 or 8 are really talented. I don’t know how we go into the season with what that WR group. It needs something at some point.
we have good wrs imo we needed at least one elite top tier wr but ballard chose pass rush which we needed too

i agree there are a lot of good players left but i would have loved one of the elite wrs to have fallen to us, now we have just good wrs to pick from

Guess I will have to trust their judgement on this one. Thought Turner was the better guy.
ballard has not been good at drafting pass rushers maybe this one will work out if his neck holds up to nfl contact

the talent level is lower in college, most of the players in college their first job will be as a doctor, lawyer, teacher, or business professional and will never play football again therefore this results in dropped passes and not getting open, which makes it harder to complete a pass. bottom line they are not good enough for pro football
