  1. I hate when organizations do this and this is why they stay miserable for long periods of time. They get hyped for a quarterback that the media hypes and instead of fixing their real problem, they prefer to have a quarterback. The real problem last season for the Cardinals was the offensive line. Arizona was in the bottom 10 in run blocking and pass protection meaning Rosen didnt even have a good chance of making decent plays. Everytime i saw him snap, the defense was already in his face. If i were the GM, i would have traded down the #1 pick and gotten some really good multiple amount of picks at offensive line and even defense to surround Rosen.

Its definitely something the Ravens do to continue their playoff runs every year. They never really focus on QB but a solid defense and a good oline. I feel bad that Arizona could have literally turned their team around in 1-2 years without drafting Murray but instead they probably set the team back 3-4 years.

  2. I think that it is more frustrating to think how long they knew about this and how he could have undergone surgery in the offseason to fix this. Instead, they wait til preseason starts to say, "HEY! HE MIGHT NEED SURGERY!" When by now, he could have been fully recovered.

I was expecting alot from Luck this season and I want him to be healthy so he can whoop Tom Bradys butt before he retires so we can get revenge. Now that window is getting smaller and all we will remember is how Luck was 0-7 against the Patriots.

  3. Every season teams need a new head coach and the first to get interviews for any job are the offensive and defensive coordinators. After this season, it will be very obvious that the Colts will be a hot team for coaching candidates. I really like the direction the team is going and alot of the great recent gameplay has not only to do with Reich but the coordinators. How do you maintain your coordinators consistent? Can they just offer them larger contracts to keep them? I would hate to see coordinators come in and out for Andrew Luck.

  4. its the Colts first year and they are the youngest team. The fact that they have been able to keep up and what they have accomplished is amazing. Just imagine if we give it time, what they will do next season once the weaknesses and gaps are filled.

Sure our expectations were alot less than this but now we are setting the bar too high for such a young team. They have alot to learn and they are learning from their mistakes. I dont blame Luck either because he did some pretty good throws to the endzone today that Ebron and Chester should have caught.

    Some needs that I see:

    RB

    Tackles

    Guards

    Wide Receivers

Let's not forget that Eagles fans were wanting to see Doug Pederson get fired after his first 2 game performances of their Super Bowl winning season. LOL!

    GIVE IT TIME.

  5. Him wearing the Waterboy shirt was kind of worrisome today. Is he trying to make a statement or just a prank? It would really hurt to lose him but I could see the fact that he might want to start for another team but seeing the teams available (aka Bills), he should be smart to wait til the end of the season and get an opportunity with a not so bad organization.

"You want to raise your own. We want to be a great drafting team. We want to have a sound structure and foundation in place where we're producing players every year for the Colts. You have to. You have to produce three or four guys that are going to help you every single year.

Now saying that, between street free agents, between waiver claims, we'll get into free agency a little bit, but we will not - like I said earlier, you can't buy a locker room, and you have to be very careful when you enter into free agency"  - CB at his introductory press conference.

Anyone expecting big acquisitions any time soon is going to be disappointed, but I think he'll pay when he thinks it will take the Colts over the hump.

    Bap.....

I don't see many posters in this thread....   so I'm going to let you in on a little secret secure in the knowledge that if I post it here,  few will read it.

    Ready?

I'm best friends with Chris Ballard.     We talk every week.    And here's what he tells me.....

That winning is highly over-rated.    That talk of the Super Bowl and making the playoffs is also over-rated.

What Chris wants to do is build.    And rebuild.     And build some more.     And once he's done all that,  he'll tear it all down and build it again.

And Irsay is OK with this,  because we're roughly 50 Million under the cap and he's saving tons of money.      Money that Ballard is never going to spend.    And when I say never I mean EVER!

So, there's your answer.    Ballard is never, EVER going to go "all in."     Not going to happen.

By the way,  he says ever since he came to the Colts all the buzz inside the complex is about Harambi....     Chris says he doesn't know who this player is, he's checked his file,  but he can't find the name anywhere.     But everone inside seems down an depressed over Harambi.

    Sad.

But,  there you go!     Your answer is.....   no.     Never.      Ever.

    Hope that helps!

P.S. --  this post is just between you and me.    Please don't let my secret become public knowledge.    Thanks!       :peek:

Were you good friends with Harambe? What were his last words?

  7. With so much cap space, lets say there are big names on defense or offense, would Ballard give them a big contract to go all in or would he just build with what he has. I am not a big fan of teams going all in. I would be disappointed if he would have given Khalil Mack or decides to give Laveon big money. We all know what the big impact is when one player gets a big contract, everyone on the team wants to get paid too. Also agents will come hungry to bring overpriced players to the Colts. Think about the consequences, dont do it Ballard!

  8. Baker Mayfield-Hasn't even played a single game-BUST

Saquon Barkeley-Headed to Canton without a doubt.

Sam Darnold-Anyone from the Jets is an automatic bust.

Denzel Ward-Headed to Canton. That interception was insane.

Bradley Chubb-Hasnt met expectations. Wouldnt say bust but hes just an average Defensive End.

    Quenton Nelson-Headed to Canton.

Who do you think was the best pick of the 2018 NFL Draft?

  9. The fact that they moved up to get a QB is alarming. You can't say that hes not their future QB because or else they wouldnt have traded up but at the same time, he could light a spark to get Flacco to work his butt off and stop being lazy. I can't understand why Eli and Flacco have 3 super bowl rings but can barely make it to the playoffs.

  10. You CANT pass on this guy....Ive seen his highlights and this guys burst is faster than his oline can block. We dont even need an offensive line that can block him because he already has the whole defense chasing him by the time Luck would snap the ball. Let's not lose out on this pick and let this be another, "if only we had draft Saquon" conversation years from now. Ballard can pick up oline men from free agency. We need experienced linemen blocking Luck, not rookies.

If Sam Darnold pulls out of the NFL Draft then we will lose out on this pick though.

I agree but if we can get anything for Davis we need to take it. He won't be back next year, IMO

Oh definitely! I have no idea what happened to him. He looks real lost on the field.

  12. We all know there is going to be changes in the offseason. Right now is just NOT the time to be making those replacements. It starts from the top all the way to the bottom which clearly means that there is no replacement even for the coach right now within the facility. No coach is going to leave their teams halfway through the season to go join another team. Alot of it has to do with tampering and just focusing on their jobs with their respective teams. I see alot of Colts fans calling out players like Vontae and TY saying stuff like "BYE! Good luck with your new team." It is just not fair for them. This is a team sport.

Just be patient and everything will play out well. Changes will come but right now is not the time to be looking for those changes. It is either at the beginning of the season or end of the season.

Bostic was a risky move from the get go, 4th team in 5 years in the league.

He gets lost in coverage way to much, Morrison is effort, but not an impact guy.

What's DQ Jackson up to nowadays?:D

We are sadly flat out bad in the ILB position department.

Um...weve got Cato June and Dwight Freeney available. Ray Lewis played til he was like 38 or 39. These guys still have some gas left in their tanks.

Wow, sucks to have it happen to such a great guy who was so invested in the hurricane relief program. In terms of the Colts though, the irony is I'm still not liking our chances against the Texans.

Uh...i actually like our chances better without him. The Colts arent so bad. The problem is they can't play more than 1 half.

As bad as we have looked so far this season (sure there have been a few glimmers of hope, but we've gotten blown out twice, given a game away and barely held on to games against two very poor teams in CLE and SF), we are still tied for 2nd in the AFC South at 2-3.  The Titans will likely lose tonight to KC, so it may well be Jax and 3-2 and three others at 2-3 in the AFC South going into week 6.

The Jags are all over the board with big wins over Texans, Ravens and Steelers along with a loss to NYJ and a big loss to Titans.

A week or 2 ago I would have said "Let's sit Luck, tank the season, and hope for a good draft pick" -- but with Ryan Kelly back and the defense looking like it may continue to improve throughout the season, we may have an actual shot at winning the AFC South w/ a healthy Luck at the helm.

You know that KC is playing Texans tonight right? Not the Titans...
