Brock, Verner, Sherman, Peterson, Revis, Talib.
Oh, you said only five. Scratch Talib from that list
So what makes these better CB's just wondering how you get that opinion

Not every good player is going to show up on the stat sheet. There are even times when Watt himself won't show up (on the stat sheet), but his presence at the line will impact the play regardless, with his teammates reaping the benefits. Cush, JoJo, Swearinger, Lewis, these guys have been solid for us. Watt, of course, will get all of the attention because of who he is, and he definitely deserves it. But it's a myth that he is the only player who ever does anything in this defense.
Right on I watched all Texans games just seemed like a below average front 7 minus Watt maybe he is just so good everyone else look like they are in slow motion . I guess with all the talk about there D I expected a bunch of game changers .
-
Ironic...
Really who is very good outside of Watt ? I know he's stud and wrecks games by himself but really who else is there that stands out .
-
Calling the 05 06 teams complete is mind boggling really no special teams no run game and could not stop the run . Yea the offense was really good and bailed out the D but they were far from complete with that offense if we had a run game or a run D we would have won multiple Sb's in that era .
-
I think the Texans D is over rated a superstar and bunch of average to below average players . I expect the Thursday night beat down theme to continue with a big colts win putting them on top of the division .
-
Can you also list which Qbs/receivers these CBs have gone up against thus far? I think that would also shed some light on these numbers as in fairness, Davis has gone up against the Titans, Jags and Ravens whereas Sherman has faced the Broncos, Packers, and Chargers.
You left out the Broncos and Eagles . He's faced 3 of the best passing teams in the NFL and shut them down like Revis use to do well he did last week he looked like his old self .
-
That 12.3 passer rating allowed is off the charts with the new rules .
-
Vontae Davis is king.
Knock on wood, is it me or have the players gotten used to the newer CBA rules better and teams have adapted their training better to have lesser players on IR this year? Compared to last year after 5 games, I am leaning towards thinking that there have been lesser players on IR this year, am I wrong?
Dustin, my stat man, help me out here.
I think the Colts just got rid of the injury bug finally a lot of team have a bunch of players out or on IR . Seems we sent that pesky injury bug to the chargers the Brown they are dropping like flies .

Thursday night games are pulling in great viewership. It is not going away anytime soon.
You nailed it the money is there and that's pretty much all that matters NFL is a business with a goal to maximize profits .
-
Much better game than expected at least it was entertaining through out
-
Not surprising there were no flags when there should have been. Offsetting so it wouldn't have helped but you know it would at least make the refs look a little better.
Both would have been on Seattle don't listen to these talking heads they have a love affair with Seattle and Wilson
-
That missed 2 calls on that play holding and illegal formation
-
Come on fumble
-
Wow cousins slicing up Seattle impressive
-
And if it is a fake, he'll have a clean shot at crushing him
I expect some team to pick up on that soon I can't believe he hasn't got laid out doing that yet
-
That was about as bad as that TD Harvin ran out of bounds but held up after the review
-
anyone else notice they moved the line before and after the replay to make it look like he didn't cross it
-
Russell W..needs to remember to slide
He's channeling his inner RG3
-
Garcon with all these cheapshots on Sherman. Dude can't beat him, so he's resorting to those antics...
What did he do all I saw was him pull his down by his hair
-
Love how every time Wilson makes a bad throw the talking heads blame it on the WR or TE
-
That might have been the biggest hit Wilson has took
-
They tried a colts move just not executed as well
-
Any gif guys that Sherman trying to tackle Jackson on his Td would be a good one .
-
Yes, I believe you can. I've seen it happen numerous times (especially to RG3) and can't remember a penalty being thrown.
Ty sir I wasn't sure you see it in college a lot but wasn't sure about the NFL . You usually see QB's run backwards not up toward the line with arms tucked after handing it off . Seems like teams would pop him if they could there .
A statistical comparison of some of the league's notable cornerbacks.

That is easy Vontea Davis is a better corner in 14 than Sherman by a wide margin . Sherman has been nothing but average at best so far so you could say a lot are playing better than Sherman . Shutdown corners don't allow passer ratings over 100 good corners don't either just average ones .
