  1. How could Godell see evidence that was withheld from him

The NFL is not a court...they dont have trials

How is it that the NFL couldn't get it, but TMZ could? If the evidence was withheld from them they should have fought for it then acted, but instead they acted hoping it would go away... and they could wash their hands of the issue. They are not a court, but they are a entity that needs to look at everything because acting to rashly could cause problems like taking no action at all then having it come back to but you in the *. They are a lot of questions that will hopefully be answered when all is said and done.

  2. No way do I see the New named teams start 0-2.

Cleveland gave up 350 yards in the first half in Pittsburgh, and the Saints put 34 points on the board in Atlanta. Brees will light that defense up just as he did Atlanta's last week. The big question of course is if the Saints defense performs as bad as it did against the Falcons, is what will determine if it's not a blow out.

I do not see the Pats starting 0-2, though Minnesota's defense has improved greatly.

Minnesota is a good looking team, and I think they and Detroit will battle it out all season for the top spot up north. I'd put my Monopoly money (not a betting man) on A. Peterson, and maybe even C. Patterson too to run all over New England, Detroit destroys Carolina, and Atl vs. Cin to be a shootout. Colts should be able to beat the Eagles if they keep the two backs in check along with Riley Cooper and the rest of the clan. Oh, wait. Sorry about that.

  3. So all these huge blows to the team year after year

    2011: Peyton

    2012: Pagano

    2013: Wayne

    2014: Mathis

    2015:

It's either the football gods hate us for giving us generational quarterbacks and consecutive playoff berths but give us awful defenses.

We'll compete this year but without Mathis and the way Manusky and Pep (they suck) run things we can't win it all

    Believe Go colts

When Coach Pagano went was diagnosed with Leukemia which is something you can't prevent I'd say the team responded pretty well to such adversity. In fact aside from losing that one guy who used to be out qb the team has always battled back... and will continue to do so. we are not the only team to have injuries, and even though Pep can be maddening at times so can people who post of this forum... and I'd rather have Pep making calls than them.

  4. Dang, I usually will tip decent money for a good cup of coffee knowing the waitresses depend on those tips. This is ridiculous, but posting it for all to see is silly. The last time I saw someone do this they claimed the people stiffed them for religious reasons which turned out to be a lie.

  5. Exactly, u lose the pick. In the nfl u have to make your 1st round picks count big time. Ask bill polian if he'd like the tony ugoh 1st round pick back? That was the beginning of the end for bill.

Neither Polian would never admit he was wrong. Another issue with that whole move was Glenn walking away like he did right before camp started, and Ugoh was thrust straight into a roll he wasn't worthy of to begin with, and that young man was not the first bad pick Polian made. Nor the last. 2007 was magical with Ugoh, Gonzalez, D. Hughes, and Quinn Pitcock. The only good move he made in the next few was Pat McAfee... and that is why he got canned.

  6. Is Eli really Romo-esque though? Eli's just been outright bad the last couple years, especially last. Romo and Rivers have actually been pretty good to great at times. But both imo have the tendency to make a bad play in th 4th quarter when they're winning (and have usually just played brilliantly), when no play was really needed at the time. They'll commit a huge mental mistake that just has you scratching your head and it costs the team the win. That's what Romo-esque means to me.

I don't know, man when I see either Tony... or Eli take the field I see trouble for their own teams. Tony will make flat out bad plays with guys wide open on the other side of the field, and Eli will try to force passes in places with no room while others are open too. So in that aspect they are a lot alike.

  7. I'm not putting all the blame on Rivers. Just supporting my point that Rivers over the last few years has similar moments to Romo, the guy who gets crushed constantly by most fans and the media (not saying you). There's a reason Rivers and Romo aren't elite. Tom, Peyton, Aaron, and Brees don't make those mistakes when the game is won and they just have to go with the flow to win. Every QB makes mistakes, but what separates the top QBs, is that they almost never throw away games in the 4th quarter when it's in the bag.  Rivers didn't have to make a play there, all he had to do was NOT make a bad play.  I'm not saying Rivers isn't a top 10 QB. Just pointing out why he isn't in that top 4 group (imo he was there from 2007-2010) anymore.

I don't think you can throw Rivers in as being like Romo when Eli Manning is still roaming around, and looking much more Romoesque. Or is it the other way around?

  8. Depends in the ticky tacky calls if there favoring the Eagles we could be 0-2 .

The refs have had bad calls fore every team. I give them credit for at least being consistently bad. No favoritism has been seen... but their are doing the business of the man behind the curtain. A bad man who is working on his best Bud Selig impersonation by ruining a good thing.

  9. And it's not like we gave up the third overall pick for him. We "drafted" him slightly higher then Addai and Brown. He still has every opportunity to outperform them both.

Yeah, it was a late 1st round pick. I know people love to hate the kid... but all that hate will only eat them alive. I think he will have a break out game within the next two weeks. It will be interesting to see the game plan against the Eagles.

  10. Pretty much. The front is a monster.

If Suh doesn't loose it, and stomp on anyone... or get suspended again they have a great front line. I don't think they are the Lions of ol'. The offense is much improve, and not just Calvin Johnson anymore. They are a team I think will be playoff bound for sure. Coach Caldwell might even manage to smile for once.

  11. I didn't word it quite right. My point is that when u give a first round pick for a running back these days he better be a guy who is a work horse and gets u 80-100 yards a game. Richardson has been nowhere near that and like many are pointing out, he is too slow. It's becoming painfully evident. I realize last night we got behind and the run game was abandoned but I didn't see much different from the guy than what I saw last year

You lose the pick, but it isn't like he is making a ton of cash because he is still under his rookie contract. If things don't work out you chalk it up to a learning experience. I still don't think it was a bad move, and Trent knows he needs to prove his worth... So next we I look to see him run with reckless abandon with Bradshaw as the receiving back. Provided we don't have to play from behind then you get what we saw Sunday.

  12. U might be right. Probably are right but giving away a first round pick to a slug won't help his cause. I'm not labeling Richardson a slug yet but he's giving his critics plenty of fire power

Ummm, you called him a name then said you won't call him one yet. You can't have it both ways... You can criticize a lot of people for last night, but Trent Richardson isn't one of them. He did his job when called upon.

  13. And you know what, until he outproduces Bradshaw I wouldn't even say he's just a guy. He's a guy, who in my opinion, is getting the start and the benefit of the doubt because of his draft position but hasn't lived up to it at all. I'm not gonna go off now but I could. Ryan Grigson better hope Richardson picks it up because if he doesn't it could be his undoing.

One player will not be his "undoing" as you say.

I think Richardson looks just plain slow running with the ball.

He looked pretty good last night while in space, and made some good moves.  None the less, we were behind the whole game... and there wasn't going to be many carries.

  14. My point is that, if given the chance...

    Herron could outperform T-Rich.

    McNary could outperform Jackson

    Kerr could outperform RJF

and since I am not a big Sergio Brown fan, I guess we would have to try to find a safety who could outperform Landry (but that is doable)

Now figure out the wasted money.

I figured out the time I wasted by reading you thread... roughly 2 minutes.

  15. Some of ya all must have seen some wild video I have not seen or something, I saw Ray Rice say something to her in the elevator, she came at him and he lost his cool and what looked like a slap...Though could have been a punch....Either way he was wrong...But she was also wrong for getting up in his face, Either way I hardly think Rice is some sort of animal....Now if he would have plotted something then sure but there was no plot there

You are part of the problem. I bet you are one of the people who are more than willing to blame the victim for such an incident as this, or dressing too sexy. I will now be blocking you because this isn't the first time you have made statements like this. This man had no reason to put his hands on her... and you should be ashamed.
