BTW, its actually Polians fault for not allowing Grigson to inherit a HOF player and a near pro bowl player at the BEGINNING of their careers.  Harrison and Tarik Glenn were drafted by Bill Tobin two years before Polian inherited the team.  Polian had the benefit of those two draft picks nearly his entire career, where as Grigson had Wayne and Mathis near the end of there careers.

Where would the team be if Wayne and Mathis were on the team right now in the prime of their careers?

I know what you mean here, but Polian's career was hall of fame caliber before he set foot on W. 56th street.....

irsay needs to drop the bomb and fire several of the brain trust who are making bad decisions on talent and scheme

The team already did clear out a bunch of the scouting staff after the Draft..... they will start being evaluated next offseason and season......  so, firing those guys would be counterproductive, they didn't have any input really this offseason.

  3. Some were keeping an eye on Cam to get an idea of what someone who underwent a similar procedure to Lucks, and was physically very similar to Luck, but came back sooner from the shoulder surgery.......  well, Carolina won today, but there seems to be some legit worries about Newton's shoulder going forward...... http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2732541-major-concerns-about-cam-newton-despite-carolina-panthers-week-1-win-over-49ers

Just trying to find silver linings to Luck being out for an extended time....

That's only by Patriots fans. Non Patriots fans can tell they have a bad D and can be beat, especially since they don't have Edelman.

I mean all the talking heads........ they're usually wrong, but still.....

Actually, I'd rather have Brady's secret to health & beating father time. Either that, or access to Brady's accountant or money manager.

Gisele seems like a cool lady & all. Supermodels aren't my thing. I like you know people with real jobs other than walking in high heels in Victoria Secret lingerie.

Yes, I'm aware of the irony that Gisele modeling skimpy outfits will make more money in a decade then most of us will see in 1 lifetime. I know that Gisele will get the last laugh on me & everybody else. Touche.

It wasn't nearly that deep of a comment, I thought it was pretty lighthearted....

  6. OMG..... it got better somehow.......  2, i'll kinda give you.   3....... who cares, that is nigh irrelevant.  we'd likely start 0-2 WITH Luck, like the last 2 years.......still started him.  4. - From a purely financial standpoint, it wouldn't crush the franchise.... this ain't the NB, you cut dudes, Even starting QB's and it's not like * up a bad contract in other sports......    5. - WTH?  Brissett was brought in to be a cheap backup who should improve over the next 3 years, and easily become a plus business decision, aka, not hard at all for him to outperform his contract for the next 3 yrs.......  "going with Brissett?"  smoke on......   6. - Could happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere.  Your rebuttal is literally " Then what?, huh?  then what?".     Yes, the Colts need to build a better team.  Luck not playing will not make the rebuild any quicker, more effective, or less costly....... slow the heck down and be patient......  if you can't, go do something fun on Sundays and come back in a few years, either way, it'll probably be worth the wait.....

My take is sit him all year for these reasons

    1. We stand little chance of winning more the 600% of our games even with an easy schedule.

    2. The OL is till not what is required to protect him.

    3. If the Colts start out 0-4 why being in Luck to play a lost cause?

    4. From a financial point is it worth risking an even more lingering shoulder problem? No it is not.

    5. If the Colts at going with Brissett then use this season to develop him in to a player that can win instead of an incompetent bum like the history of backups have been except for Hasselback.

    6. What if Luck is injured again and his ability is reduced forever? Then what? Huh? Then what? The Colts are an average team with only one hope until they build a better  team.

It's the NFL.... MOST teams stand little chance of winning MORE than 60% of their games.....  60% is just over 9.5 wins in a given year......  so point 1........ very first point...... is nigh invalid...... Most teams won't win over 9.5 games...... and no one has ever sat their QB because of it.   I didn't read the rest.

Same here, it's just usually the Peyton years are considered going way back nowadays.

I'll watch some Eugene Daniel's and big play Ray games any day (Just making done from those days).

Loved Daniels, Ray Buchanan, and Jason Belser, Coryatt, Herrod.... back then.....  not too many Colts fans on here from that era, or at least waxing nostalgic about those days lol
