  1. I think is gonna be Smith, this is why:

1.- Our Offense is gonna score a lot of points every game so we are gonna see a lot of teams fall behind and try to come back with nickel sets. (So Anderson is gonna take the D-L interior spot for passing situations).

2.- Toler isn't the healthiest guy on our team (although i hope he can be healthy for the whole season).

    3.- This guy can TACKLE!!

I think Dorsett is gonna be a special player alongside with T.Y., what do you think about having Desean Jackson and T.Y.?, well we might have a very similar tandem with Dorsett and T.Y.(With out the off-field issues) but i could take time.

  2. 2-6 games is not a slap on the wrist and this IS about his rep more so than the punishment. Anything beyond a fine and he is going to court. Yee made that pretty clear on his media tour this week ...

He won't go to the court he is afraid of what they could find on his cellphone, maybe some of his WRs and TEs knew about it(they have contact with the ball frequently) .

Did you read the Judith Batista article on the NFL.com? IMO it was very clear that the language that was used on the report is good enough to give Brady the sanction they see convenient.

  3. This isn't about Brady at all. I understand legalities from my PR background. Believe me when I tell you the report is a pile of poop and that is what Yee was communicating this past week and the fact that Brady will fight any type of suspension and tear that report apart with his legal counsel. It will take all of 5 minutes to do.

So Brady is willing to go to the Court room , and go through a process that could harm his career but take a "slap" on the wrist (he is gonna bet between 2-6 games IMO)?

    Or

Brady's team can fight the report without going to the court room?

Enlighten me please(i'm not being sarcasm).

  4. Ok, so I will give you my best PR counsel on this. The NFL leaked that it was planning on suspending Brady to gauge public perception. Now that it has seen that perception, it is has now come and said the insinuation of suspension is misleading. This has happened for a few reasons:

    1) The networks got to Goodell is said you have to be kidding me suspending Brady for the home opening in which they have paid millions into.

    2) Don Yee's campaign these last few days to basically say that Brady will fight this tooth and nail. League does not want a battle with its biggest star/

    3) And the biggest one IMO. The report is a pile of poop and the league knows its suspension will not get upheld just like Peterson, Rice and Vilma.

Aren't you tired of defend Brady? I mean i just can see 2 possibilities:

1.- You know Brady screwed up with the balls but you are a super Brady's fan and you are willing to defend his reputation by any means.
2.- You can't accept that Brady screwed up with the balls because Brady is your Poster boy(personally i could understand, for example if Luck would be caught doing something like this i would be on denied for a while), but then eventually you are gonna see the big picture.

You can't compare Peterson and Rice cases with the Brady's one because those were court cases with "every" fact brought to the court room, the report isn't as clear as those because you know the subpoenas and stuff, so Peterson and Rice cases were that cases, the Brady was a report but it had more information that everybody excepted with the messages between the NE staff members and Brady, and if you are calling the report a pile of poop is because you are biased and i think we all understand but trying to make us see your point of view is useless because we are biases to a certain degree and also we got the report to backing up us, but again i got "your point" because your arguments are based on that every reported but the Boston ones are rooting to punish NE.

Edit note: Brady screwed up implies that McNally and Jastremski did that under Brady's instructions.

  5. NFL has come out and said headline saying Brady will be suspended is misleading, http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/nfl-calls-headline-about-brady-suspension-misleading/ar-BBjvcOW?li=BBgzzfc&ocid=LENDHP

So hold your horses everyone ...

So another history from a Boston writer?

  6. Well this topic is to comment about Henry Anderson ceiling.

What do you think is his ceiling?

I think he can improve a lot i have to tell you that he looks kind of fat (i think he can lose some fat and win a lot of muscle), he had good numbers at the combine but i think he is more athletic that we give credit of, he had a good 3 cone drill, 20 yds shuttle,i haven't seen the bench press of Anderson but i think he is on the 30s range.

I would love to see Anderson to develop as a freaking monster JJ Watt  but being realistic i think he could be like Justin Smith he was a great player but IMO not to Watt's level.
Also Anderson could won like 10-15 lbs more but i would prefer that he lose some fat and win muscle.

After a year with a NFL strength program but taking care of his weight Anderson could be really good

I don't know why many members of the forum want him to win weight, we know that having the heaviest team doesn't imply that we are gonna stop the run.

Watt have the best work ethic on NFL , he wanted to be the best and he became the best defender on the league.

This one was taken on his pro day.

Watt isn't as heavy as many of "our" prototype DL 310 lb +, he is listed around 289 ~ 295 lbs.

Justin Smith is listed around 285 ~ 290 lbs.

  7. Perhaps Gramz but this is the most ridiculous part of the report - the entire organization from Kraft to Bill and personnel to the equipment manager were completely exonerated. The fall guys appear to be the two part-time ball guys and a "probable" Brady. And this just after the league sent Brady a letter asking him to come to the SB MVP ceremony at next year's Super Bowl. To be honest, this report smells to high heaven. IF something happened here, something of which Brady may be culpable then how can Bill and the org be completely exonerated??

It's probable because they can't subpoena all the information they need to make a judge, and still a report but if Kraft wants to clean the Brady's name he needs to file the NFL for defamation but then all the info needed to complete this "report" would be subpoena then i can't see Kraft suing the NFL because if they find evidence that the Patriots have been doing this for a while then the punishment should be way higher, so all is probable but the Patriots will accept any punishment.

  8. I think we are gonna put Mathis on the IR designed to return and carry the guy from Harvard, then after Mathis return we are gonna cut an OLB than could be Werner,Hodges, Walden, i mean we are kind of load at every position, even the DL is pretty depth, also Donald Thomas is coming back and if he comes healthy we have a pretty good RG/LG and we could cut Thornton,Herremans, Louis, even Cherilus if not healthy, we have 2 darkhorses to make the team as G Heenan and Thomas.

The RB position i can only see Gore on the roster, Vick Ballard showed us just  a season with a pretty bad OL and he ran pretty good, Robinson could won a spot too, and Varga has versatility and can contribute as ST, so we might have a surprise at the end of the camp and we could begin cutting Thornton, Cherilus, Walden, Herron, Ballard, Robinson.

I'm sorry , i have made the same mistake 2 times, instead of editing i'm quoting myself, i'm sorry.

  10. That boy Luck i don't think he makes the roster,

But i can see 4 RB i think we are gonna go with Gore(100% secure), Boom(75%), Ballard (50%), Robinson(50%), Varga(35% this one is one of my favorites i think he can play either FB/HB), Tripton(30%).

I think the 4th spot is gonna be the best ST of all fo them.

The offensive line is really hard to figure the depth i think we are just safe to say that we are gonna carry with Castonzo, Jack, Harrison and Holmes, then we are gonna have a great fight for the remaining spots.(I didn't include Gosder bc his injury but if healthy is gonna make the 53).

  12. You guys crack me up. The Texans jumped for joy when the Colts selected a WR in round one instead of Dline. And I would think the Texans front with Watt, Clowney and Wilfork will be able to disrupt Luck enough so he does not have time to find all his weapons ...

Clowney?? he is coming from a bad knee surgery, Wilfork almost all the NE fans were saying that he wasn't the same, that he was old and stuff, many said that he is just average, the FREAKING MONSTER JJ WATT is the main threat to all the teams to play against the Texans, so Dline was a priority but we got 2 good DLimen(BB had in the sight Parry), and don't forget that NE lost their 2 CB and don't begin to say that BB is gonna replace them with UDFA/FA because you don't simply replace Darrelle Revis.

  13. That actually sounds like a good plan. But Andre left Houston because he didn't want to be in a reduced role, so him splitting time on the field with a second year player might not sit well with him. There's only one ball to go around but I guess we'll see how it goes. I think the coaches brought Carter in to be more then just a practice squad receiver, so they will need to see if he is worth their time by letting him play I would think.

He left Houston on part because they were seeming him as an luxury when they were rebuilding and he had a high cap (i think he would stay if they maintained his salary), so he came to Indy because he thinks Indy is he best opportunity to him to win a Lombardy, so i quote him " I didn't come to Indy to be the big dog" , so he is willing to take less charge because he wants to win a Ring , so the Texans and Colts teams are on different parts right now, he came here to win , he was on Houston because he loved to play for that team(i think but i'm not sure).

But never mind he is gonna have a bigger role he is gonna be the 1 or 2nd WR i mean TY is gonna be double coverage all the season he AJ is gonna be a career year i'm calling right now!!!.

  14. I agree with part of the premise of your post. I think a lot of the gripes that Colts fans has to do with how we've played against the Patriots and how we've lost to them the same way 4 straight times, allowing at least 40+ points in each game, and getting steamrolled in the process.

    2012:  Colts 24 - Patriots 49  Luck: 27 of 50 for 334 Yards

    2013:  Colts 22 - Patriots 43  Luck: 20 of 41 for 331 Yards

    2014:  Colts 20 - Patriots 42  Luck: 23 of 39 for 303 Yards

    2014:  Colts 7   - Patriots 45  Luck: 12 of 33 for 126 Yards

As you can see, The Patriots have averaged over 40 points per game against the Colts. Luck has also thrown for over 300 yards in 3 of 4 outings against NE. Our offense really struggled in the AFCCG. It has been primarily the defense that hasn't been able to contain NE's offense.

We are fine on offense and really struggle on defense. This has been the case for over a decade now. I think, as fans, we were hoping to finally have a different approach regardless of the BPA draft philosophy.

All those games were with truly inferior WR core,

    12:Avery,Wayne,Hilton,Brazil

    13:Hilton,DHB,Brazil,Whalen

    14(1):(1/2)Wayne,Hilton, Nicks,Moncrief + no running game

14(1):(1/2)Wayne,Hilton, Nicks,Moncrief  + no running game (they send all the LB to cover so Andrew couldn't pass).

This year is gonna be : Hilton,AJ,Moncrief, Dorsett, anyone  + Gore (half Gore is better than TR last 2 seasons).

So they lose Davis and Browner they won't keep with those 4 + TEs + a better running game.

They covered Hilton with CB+ depth S now if they do that they are gonna be burned by Dorsett or Moncrief ,

but if they decide to play light packages we could just give the ball to Allen/Fleener/AJ for 8-15 yrds all the game but remember we got a decent (not a superstar) with Gore and he could also take 5 yds every run.

So yeah all those NE games had been blowouts but every game begins 0 / 0 .

And NE has won because they run , and run and run, now if they go down by 14 they won't run as much as they had , Brady has had bad games throwing vs this secondary.
