  1. If he clear I would like to give him a look at DE and possibly give Miami a 6th round pick for Dion Jordan

I would give a conditional 6th for Dion Jordan because he maybe a basket case and he was an 3rd overall so he has a ton of cap hit, but he was better suited to play OLB on a 3-4 and he went to Miami to a wrong scheme fit for him(like B. Werner with the Colts).

    D. Jordan was a 3rd overall like T. Richardson but he was a Dolphin before like V. Davis. So we could gamble because we really need to pressure the QB.

  2. "The sky is not falling" Week 1, "The sky is not falling" Week 2, "We won against Tenn on a close game but the sky is not falling" Week 3.

Can we call this offense just AWFUL ?  I mean we have all the weapons but it seems that our OC can't put some favorable match ups against the Jags!!!.

  3. Bigger jerk: Incognito or Grigson for not even meeting with him?

That would be a silly move because the Stanford connection,A. Luck, Fleener, Whalen were teammates with J. Martin before the draft, and after we got another 2 and D.Parry and H. Anderson aren't soft at all. So Incognito were never an option. But E. Mathis, M. Iupati were so Grigson may go after the season.

  4. First of all , i had made i post about this before but i can't find it so i'm gonna re-post this.

We need a true FB, i mean Doyle and Allen can't handle the load at the FB position, also we got to the 2 yrd and everybody knew that we were running inside, i mean where are the Spider 2 Y Banana? those kind of plays are pretty hard to defend and it seems that we can't run those anymore.

I was proposing giving a draft pick to get Marcel Reece from Oakland.

He is pretty good also as a 3rd/4th RB, we could use that kind of force in the middle or getting those PA.

  5. This team is soft, no attitude, not physical, not prepared and it starts with the HC. I like Chuck, he seems like a very nice guy. I would have no issues with him watching my kids for the weekend but as far as him being a leader of men.......Not so much. And I've been on here reading about people saying about his time with the Ravens and that team having attitude. I'm from that area and let me tell u, that was ALL about Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, T-Sizzle. Chuck was just along for the ride in Baltimore. Again.....very nice guy, just not a leader that is needed in today's NFL.

I have to disagree with you about Chuck being a Leader, I think he is the kind of person the players will follow and they do follow him but the problem is that he isn't a good HC.

I mean he is way too good of a person that he will give his players many chances to prove themselves that's why they follow him because they fell secure with him, BUT this is the FREAKING NFL you can't give your players more reps to prove themselves(i.e. T.Richardson, D. Reed, DHB, Josh Cribbs, etc.), he has been outcouched by many HC (last year for example against NE he deactivated B. Werner saying that they needed an extra DB but we all knew that NE were running over us all game, and B. Werner is an average run stopper.).

  6. Luck was in Fort Wayne, IN for the day yesterday. He was out at one of the local high schools. Must have been a short workout in Miami.

Maybe he was doing the diligense about getting permiton to practice at the U(i know that the adminstration wouldn't mind to host workouts with former students) but i think that's the kind of person Luck is, he would ask for permisit

  7. We'll keep 9-10 OL, barring injuries. In a vacuum, none of our guards are as good as Mathis. Scheme fit is a consideration, but let's assume he fits. He'd be our best guard. I'm fine with trimming the tree in order to make room for him on our final roster. Louis can go, Heenan isn't going to make it, the young tackles probably won't make it, and Thomas and Cherilus can go on the basis of injury history/projections anyways. Releasing those two immediately makes up for the cost of signing Mathis, assuming we get him on a reasonable deal. Under these parameters, Mathis would make our line better.

To me, the cost would have to be right, and the staff would (obviously) feel like he's a good fit. If those two things line up, it's an easy yes for me.

If we cut Gosder and Thomas this year we could save 4.35 M 2015, and the next year 9.96 M 2016 so if we pull the trigger we could give him around 14 M (this year guaranteed) /2 y, then we begin to give contracts to Castonzo and TY, we still have 12M to spend this year according to overthecap.

Edit: I changed the 10M to 14M i just saw that Mathis wanted a raise. I still think that 7M per year is a good deal to have a dominant OL.

  8. Gotta care about the price...

I'm not even sure he's the right fit for our blocking scheme. If the coaches felt good about putting him in our scheme, then we could make Mewhort the starter at RT, put Mathis at LG, and let Thornton, Herremans and Reitz battle it out for RG. Herremans and Reitz can play RT, also.

The reports are that Louis Lance is the favorite to win the LG spot after Mewhort moved to RT so if we make a move to take him the line would be : Castonzo, Mathis, Holmes/Harrison, Lance, Mewhort, and the depth well is pretty deep. Thorton, Herremans, Reitz, Gosder, Holmes, Thomas(he's still a colt), the 2 T (i don't remember right now their names), and the Boy from CFL. Those are 14 lineman i don't think we make a move for him because we have too many body right now.

  9. On passing situations i can see that Line-up but otherwise this makes nonsense because A.Jones is DT he can play any DL position but he's primary a DT(3-T), on passing situations within 5-10 yds i can see a this Line-up:

    Cole/Mathis/Newsome Anderson Jones Langford Cole/Mathis/Newsome

  10. Well, i was watching Arik Armstead numbers, tape (a little) and i don't know why he went much much higher than Anderson, i mean Anderson numbers are better at 3 cone drill, 20 yds, 40 yds, and may have better numbers at bench, but Arik Armstead was drafted because his ceiling??? again he is very raw and didn't have great production , IMO he is a good athlete but the guy is HUGE but Anderson is just 1 or 1 1/2 inches shorter than him so all that hype about Arik i didn't get it but when we get Anderson a good athlete that can produce and has a good technique on the 3rd he is labeled  as a common guy because his round, we all know that Grigson hits HR on the 3rd so i hope he did it again.

  11. We know for sure 2 things: Pagano knows how to coach DBs and Geathers has talent but lacks of technique , i think he is gonna be productive as long as he wants to learn, i would give him 2 years until he fully develops, also i quote Pagano: "He's no way near his ceiling".

  12. I like your post i think that Boom is good as a backup but a healthy Ballard is better and i'm still thinking that Varga is better that people gives credit of he can be adjusted as FB and run the Spider 2 Banana packages, also Doyle has been solid but i think that his spot is to lose this camp.

I can see Mathis on the PUP until week 5 we need to nurse his injury to get him back as good as he has been, so i can see Werner making the team but i think his problem has been scheme related.

Gosder can begin the season on the PUP so we could carry Donald Thomas and decide if we want to cut Louis or Herreman(I'm not completely sold with him).

I think that Whalen isn't eligible to PS.
