  1. I am admittedly a new Colts fan, I initially became a fan when Trent was traded to the Colts and im now a fan of the Colts wholeheartedly. I initially was torn with this trade, but after I got to see how the organization works, Coach Pagano, and of course the true Colts fans, I was blown away by the family atmosphere and the dedication that everyone possesses. I know Trent and you guys will not be disappointed with what he brings to the field for this organization, this guy is truly dedicated and truly works hard to get better! If you knew the sacrifices physically that he endured last season you would have a different respect, but all in all He will deliver. Please dont just take the first season as a barometer of his ceiling. I know this a win now league and a win now organization, but I feel he will deliver what the Colts need from him for years to come if its in Gods will for him to stay healthy. Keep up the good work guys, I havent ever witnessed a fan base like Colts Nation! thanks for showing me how real true fans support their team!

That kind of clear headed optimistic thinking will get you ridiculed in these parts. Everyone here is a football expert and knows for a fact that Trent Richardson will never be a good player.

  2. We need to run the ball, it's not a mystery, not a theory, it's a fact. Especially as Pep continues to grow as a coordinator, and is able to become more creative and unpredictable with his playcalling. I think this offense has the ability to be one of the most dangerous in the league, but not without a balanced attack.

  3. I'd like the playcalling to be more consistent on the offensive side of the ball, attacking the opposing team's weaknesses, whether it be through the air or on the ground. I think Pep found his groove late last season, and I hope for that to be the norm come week 1.

On the defensive side, I hope we are healthy enough and have the right pieces in place to dial up some more exotic formations against the pass, and stop the run a little more consistently. I saw our D have great games last year, but a lot of duds in between those outings. This is the 3rd year in the 3-4, so I expect to see some improvement, especially with the $$$ we have invested.

  4. I've been following the Fake account for about a week now. It's funny because the real Wells even chimes in sometimes, and doesn't seem at all offended by the lightheartedness of the whole thing.

  5. I'm sure we are chipping away at a deal for a center. Costa is no way a starting center, more of a depth guy for Right Guard probably. Just give it a little longer and we will see something happen!

That's what I was thinking. I'm not even sure Costas is a lock to make the 53 man roster.

  6. It should also be noted that he was going up against the other teams second best WR...and that he had several penalties against him due to getting burned...and also that he's a gimp. But ya he does have the only giving up 2 TD thing goin for him I suppose...

He had a pulled groin, which is one of the trickiest injuries to get past. I didn't have any issues with him prior to his injury.

  7. Since we didn't win a Super Bowl. We wasted a 2nd round pick. If we didn't make that trade we could have drafted Eddie Lacy, therefore we would still have our 1st this year.

Eh, he panned out about as well as a lot of 2nd round picks. He had a couple good seasons. That's assuming of course he's in fact leaving and signing with someone else. And I'm not sure Eddie Lacey would've been the stud he was in Green Bay running behind our o-line.

  8. I see a lot of people keep saying we need to address the WR position. why is that?

    Wayne

    Hilton

    Rogers

    Whalen

    Brazill

(Fleener) <<< he could be used in the slot position at times with his size and speed.

there is absolutely nothing wrong with our WR's. but if we had to sign one, I would like for us to sign Devin Hester. he could help in the ST's department, and he could be a deep threat for us. decent hands, great speed. put him and Hilton on the field together, who does the other team put their fastest DB on the most? or could leave Wayne open at times also.

That being said, WR is not one of our " biggest needs ". prefer us to shore up our interior line and defense before thinking about WR's. not unless somehow we were able to trade up into one of the top 5 picks and draft Sammy Watkins. which def. wont happen.

I'm in full agreement. We have a great QB and that TE tandem of Allen/Fleener is going to open things up big time, in the running game and the passing game. While it's tempting to bring a Decker, Nicks, Sanders type guy in just because we have the money, I would truly prefer to drop big money on the best center available.

  9. He's not gonna get a big money multi-year deal at this point in his career. I wouldn't be surprised if the Colts FO allowed him to field offers from other teams, then make him an offer that's similar.

  10. All of that talent and speculation is pretty much wasted until major upgrades are made at Center and R Guard!

I will save my high expectations until I see that done.

    Just Saying...

While true, I'm leaning towards the expectations/excitement being warranted. With the Satele release, it's obvious (to me anyways) they realized that the interior OL was a major soft spot. I see a HUGE upgrade at center coming. RG I'm not sure as sure about though...

  11. Born in Indy, grew up in Lawrenceburg, graduated from University of Indianapolis. Probably went full on Colts fan my junior year of college (99-00), never looked back. Now that I live in Colorado, I still make sure I watch every game.
