I'm cooling off on Davis, I really need to see a good game from him again before I feel like handing him a big contract.
He's been bad since the Denver game.
But man was he a beast in that game....
-
Aww man. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with Justin's family and friends.
Things like this truly make you take a step back and take a look at what you have. As Andrew and Chuck say, football is a "kid's game", and things like this are exponentially bigger than that. Rest in peace, Justin. God Bless.

Did he ever fully recover from that concussion? He was an up and coming young player before that happened.
Ahh yeah I actually forgot about that.... it's a shame too-- he has true talent as a route runner. He reminded me of Marvin Harrison in college.

Jordan Shipley could be a good fit with this system. He's no worse than DHB.

So I would love to do a good and bad looking here but man this team doesn't give me much good to see....
- The offense is done. I'm still a supporter of Luck and Pep, but there are just 0 playmakers on the offensive side. Very saddening to see Fleener regress again and TY just isn't the type of receiver to throw us on his back every single game.
- Trent Richardson. I didn't support the trade, still don't. I understand that he has talent (lots of it) but the man just flat out has no vision. He wasn't worth a first and giving up that first is going to hurt us in the future not just this year. I'm no judging Grigs yet but he has made his next 3 years very tough without that first round pick. That he didn't need to give up.
- Defense. This defense is flat out the most disappointing part of the team. A unit who started off so well is just looking completely awful. They have no excuse none at all. And before anyone says injuries Toler? Walden? I'm sorry those 2 are nobodies in comparison to the rest of the unit. A defense that loses say Davis/Bethea/Landry/Mathis any of them should look like the defense we have now and guess what? We look atrocious and that is with the supposed marquee players.
- Coaching. I have nothing against Pagano as a man, but he is in over his head at coach. He doesn't seem to have much fight in him left... Why are we holding onto timeouts? Why do we refuse to look desperate when we are indeed desperate? Why do we NEVER CHANGE positions? Personnel needs to be messed with and Pagano is just not doing that. Why is this team so ill prepared? I didn't know what to think of Pagano when he first came over and Bruce took over last year. But seeing a full body of work from him is just no leaving me with a satisfied taste in my mouth.... A team should be getting hot in November and this team looks ready for offseason... In no way do I support Bruce as a playcaller/OC but the man knew how to prepare a team. And in comparison the teams these 2 coaches coached look night and day. Cardinals getting hot at the right time. Colts fizzing out before seasons halfway.... Very disappointing...
I'm not sure how to feel about this team. I do not doubt they have potential but there are flaws beyond the players that concern me. We have Luck cheap right now and it seems like we are wasting valuable time to have a COMPLETE team around him. Add insult to injury to know that we don't have a 1st in the next draft to get a playmaker on D or a solid G or C is even worse... I'm very upset and as always this is the knee jerk, but man how can this team look so bad? I think we as colts fans know a bad coached team from a good one and I'm not sure if we are looking at a good coached team right now. That is a huge problem.
With all due respect, Fleener had 4 catches for 55 yards, and led our team in yards yesterday. He also beat Bell for our only touchdown. I would say he's progressing more than regressing.

Every single team in the NFL deals with injuries.
That being said, I think we have sustained some big blows this season and our recent games have clearly reflected that. Ballard, Bradshaw, Reggie, Dwayne, Donald Thomas, Toler, Howell.... we are severely banged up in many key spots. With those guys healthy, we could potentially be 10-1. But c'est la vie.
-
I think what happened is that Richardson and Brown didn't get anything going quickly enough, and the Cardinals quickly put us in the position where we could not afford time to run the ball. We HAD to throw in order to try and claw our way back. That is what is so disheartening; often we defer the opening kick and more often than not, our defense cannot get off the field before giving up 7.
-
I don't think benching those guys is the right call... but a players-only meeting might be a good place to start. Nothing against the coaching staff at all-- I just want to see Andrew take control and let people know what has to be done.

yeah I'm going to be hungover tomorrow.
-
Rough day. Rough, rough day.
-
There's a gameday thread to discuss these sorts of things, guys.
I'm not trying to be pedantic, it's just that's why we have gameday threads, to reduce unnecessary clutter.
-
Tough break on that drive.
-
Every time a Da'Rick Rogers thread pops up, an opponent gets a first down.
-
Total crap half of football Colts, you all, except for Mathis, should be ashamed of yourselves. (Coaches too)
Bjoern has played well too
-
Hopefully Luck is giving one of his famous rants in that locker room.
-
Bjoern Werner is making some nice strides for a rookie OLB in his first start.
-
Stahp. These threads are getting silly.
-
I really hope you're being sarcastic. If you are not then please refrain from posting again.
I'm going to run out of likes pretty soon. ;)

If Pep is not gone next year, I will be and I will follow Denver and the heck with the vanilla Colts. BA took them to 11 wins and a playoff spot last year with less talent. At this rate we will be lucky to win 9. This O has no imagination. Luck is really showing the strain of trying to work under this system, he can not throw or run.
No offense, but you must not have been around in 2011. If you had been, then you wouldn't have been here last season.
-
PLEASE be alright TY!!
-
I don't like having Vaughn on Larry.
-
Palmer will throw a pick soon. He's had more than 1 close call already.
-
Wow what a turnaround in momentum! Gotta capitalize now Offense!
'NFL Films Presents': Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay's life
in Colts Football

Hopefully this quiets the haters a little bit. Irsay gets a pretty rough rap from everybody outside of our club. The man can be goofy and eccentric.... but he truly just loves his team. You can't fault him for that. The good thing is is that he acknowledges his "demons" a little bit, per se. He is a great man for the community and for football in general, no matter what people may think.
And I swear to God, I'm not Jim Irsay.
