How does a person get multiple DUI's & still get behind the wheel? I realize that people by & large need to drive to work, but still. My sympathies to your friend Fish & my condolences to the grieving family members of the deceased victim in this tragic circumstance. Very sad & heartbreaking indeed.

Thanks gang. I'm angry that this women >>>ed her kids and my friend on one stupid decision. Shouldn't have happened, but alas, Nate is dead, and she'll be out in a few years on public assistance. Trying to make sense of this isn't working, stunned disbelief is how I feel, Id hate to be in his girlfriend or parents shoes right now.

Living near the Fort, I have seen this on the news and know that your friend was only 26. Death at any age is difficult, but it is especially hard when one is so young. A young man I know (who worked road construction) was crushed by a semi. The driver was under the influence of drugs. That was probably the saddest funeral I have ever attended as the man was to be married the following week. As I hugged his fiancee, all I could think about was that wedding dress that was probably hanging...
