This is his job exactly but too many times today gore broke runs on the outside for big chunks of yardage. He is clearly not setting the edge which is what pagano and grigs said he excelled atI think his job is just to not allow any room to the outside so that way the rb is forced inside and right into our LBers

Cherilus is our best lineman hands down but I will give AC some props for containing aldon smith all day long. We ran heavily to the left though and I think thornton had a lot to do with it. He is a mauler when pulling to run block and did a nice job pass blocking. Hate to say it but mcglynn and link stepped up big today nice job overall

Noticed this week one but didn't think it was worth posting a topic for...They show Luck throwing a pass and in the next frame is Reggie catching it for a TD vs. the Cowboys. The problem with that? Luck hasn't played the Cowboys yet... That's an old clip with Reggie getting a TD pass from Mr. Manning.

Hmmm... I think you might be on to somethingAt the end of the day, those two have a job and Nevis has been released twice within a month.
Maybe the fans really dont know what theyre talking about.

Ricky Jean and Ricardo are better anyways move on

True, but wayne has yet to show he is slowing downMathis and Wayne aren't going to play forever, and they're our biggest cap hits at the moment.

Not hard to doYep.. I guess I just associated Ditka with the Bears too quickly

When will luck be eligible for a contract extension? Do the same rules apply to hilton/fleener/allen/trich???
-
They hardly ran it against green bay week one which was smart since green bay probably game planned a lot for it with memories of last year's playoff loss to them. They did run it quite a bit more against seattle though it wasn't effective

The saints drafted ricky williams..If you mean which team traded their whole draft for a player it was the bears for the spot below Edge to draft Ricky Wlliams. They traded their whole 1999 draft (1 pick in every round but the 2nd ) and their 1st and 3rd in the 2000 draft.

Bradshaw is merely a stop gap anyways. I do like how building the monster is in almost every reply. Team chemistry is half the battle

My have things certainly changed... Years came and went with colts fans holding out hope that our gm would make some moves in free agency or via trade, but it simply never happened. Instead we chose to build through the draft and while we did win a championship, the process of getting the roster to that point was less than exciting. Now as only a little over two offseasons have come to pass, our roster has changed dramatically. Trades, signings of free agents and drafting of stud players has me vaguely remembering the polian regime and checking my phone every five minutes to see if grigs has pulled off another deal. This man has ultimately won my respect for his courage to seek out what and who he wants and to pull the trigger to, in the end make this ream elite. I'm thankful for polian in some ways but there isn't anyone else I'd rather have calling the shots for our roster. Grigson for GM executive of the year again anyone???

I love our gm!!! Will pull the trigger on anything that he thinks will help the team!!! Love it!!

First game I've actually seen him going all out and didn't look hesitant when trying to catch passes. Wish he could be this productive every week. Really stood out to me and here's to hoping he maximizes his potential throughout the rest of the year

I know everyone wants ty to be starting ahead of dhb but we need dhb to be on the outside to play against the longer corners and let ty beat the slot corner on the inside. Ty does have blazing speed but he just isn't physical enough to play on the outside. For example he made all of his catches in the first half when dhb was still in the game. He had zero catches in the second half. Heyward-bey is just a decoy to take away the bigger physical corners that could take ty out of games

Well if that was the case they would 'bring the house' every play. I guess your expectations for our o-line are way lower than everyone else's that love the colts. Of course we are expecting to NOT see andrew get hit or sacked. The day we start over looking our star qb getting slammed to the ground, we will have way bigger problems than just a few sacks a game. As of right now andrew IS our team. Without him we are nothing. Our line can't even manage to keep him clean for a game and that's cause for concern. I guess not for you thoughDo you understand football? Miami was bringing the house on a 4th and 10 play. Of course there was pressure, good Lord. There isn't an O-line in football that would have held up in that kind of situation.
-
Luck has been hit more than anyone since entering the league im pretty sure... I don't think that's a winning formula.
-
Yea you're right, luck wasn't knocked to the ground several times and he didn't get sacked three times either. The O-line had absolutely everything to do with us losing. Did you see the last play of the game??? I would never defend our o-line when they give up sacks and pressure all day long like today. But hey I guess luck might as well get used to it.I swear, I'm not sure if people even watch the games. As strange as it may sound, our O-line played absolutely great today. Miami has one of the best d-line's in football and for the most part, we contained them very well. The O-line had absolutely nothing to do with the loss today.
-
Which actually wasn't an illegal shift since reggie was in motion..the illegal shift penalty cost us the game
-
No you don't. The ball placement doesn't change just because the possesion of the ball doesAnd u miss u actually give up 7 more yards.
-
You should be. Doesn't matter how your team loses, it stings and it stays with you until your next win. Or at least that's my feeling about itWe lost because of the pick, poor defense and Dolphins played a great game. I'm not mad we lost at all! It was a great game
-
On the bright side when thornton came in he looked very good in pass blocking and especially on pulling plays. It just seems as if they cannot pick up blitzes and it kills us big time. Miami was blitzing like oakland did last week with corners and linebackers up the middle and we were lost almost every time. Now we have to go to candlestick snd deal with bowman and willis. Oh and the two smiths. They will make our o-line look like toddlers, then again what team doesn't?
-
Well once again our offensive line gives up too much pressure and loses the game at the end for us!! Donald brown should not have been in for that last drive, especially since bradshaw is 100% better at pass blocking and blitz pick ups. Hard for luck to try and win the game with defenders in his face and all over him. Something has got to give with this line because we won't beat anyone else if they play like today

Spoke too soon he is out there now

He did get better as the game went on but then again san fran was clearly one sided in the second half
