  1. This is true and I think other free agents will recognize our organization and want to be a part of the bright future we have here. Also I just want to say that gos has played his butt off this year and has been one of our most consistent lineman whether it be pass or run blocking. He has been tremendous in my eyes and while he may not ever live up to his contract, he is for sure one of the better right tackles in the game and deserves recognition for helping keep andrew clean since rarely does pressure come from his side

  2. Did TY get hurt in the game?? He got hit near the sideline after a catch in the 3rd quarter and I don't remember seeing him in any other series after... he was holding his shoulder also, probably the one that's kept him on the injury report. Hope he returns and isn't too serious...

  3. I don't mean to start the same old topics but with the exception of a couple of runs, trent looked good in space and broke off some of his best runs all season. He got involved in the passing game more today and looked comfortable running making guys miss. Looked a little more fresh and wasn't going down with simple arm tackles today

  4. I know the Colts lost the football game but these last few weeks of officiating in the nfl have been horrible! Jeff Triplett clearly screwed us on at least 2 calls. One being the green-ellis td, and the no call on daltons throw away pass. Chap obviously tripped green ellis up and was down short of the goal line. There was no conclusive evidence that would change the ruling on the field which was originally called down by contact and short... then the throw away, it should have been intentional grounding since he was still in the pocket but yet there was no penalty and they went on to score again. I hope triplett is fined or suspended for this especially for the overruling call. The refs are not and should not be above the league office and should be subject to fines just as any player is for breaking any rule on the field. If we don't have fair officiating then why even play??? Essentially he gave them 7 points and an argument could be made he gave them 14 in all.

  5. I am starting reed myself. He has been getting a lot more involvement and looks from rg3 and has blown fred davis away for the starting TE spot. Plus the broncos are very vulnerable against the pass and you know rg3 will buy more time against that def. Oh and the falcons are just not the same team this year so I say start reed

  6. no. Im just saying he's not as good as Hali has been this year.

And I you take Mathis away, our pass rush is mediocre.

I find that hard to believe looking at the stats. I know they don't tell the whole story but they are the proof of production and mathis and hali are neck and neck. It could really go either way imo. Mathis may not be as good as hali in coverage but his run defense has improved drastically, and it showed last week against denver
  7. We have also faced 3 of the more elusive quarterbacks who run the read option so yea, mathis definitely needs to be considered right up there with hali. If freeney were still here others would say that he was taking all the doubles which is why mathis got all his sacks... I'm just saying mathis is right there with the best in the league at rushing the qb this year

  8. that argument would hold water if the numbers were close...but they're not. Hali gets pressure on the QB almost twice as often. He's getting pressure at a higher rate than JJ Watt did last year.

Yes,while houston is getting doubled on the other side. Walden doesn't provide the pressure opposite robert like houston does hali. Plus kc has a better all around def than here too
  9. He definitely has character issues but I don't think his full potential has been tapped into quite yet either. We tend to take chances on low character guys and I think with a little coaching he could be a number 1 for sure. He has burned us in the past

  10. I think we should stick with what we have for now and see how things go. If the FO feel we need another pair of hands in a couple of weeks then I'm down.

I definitely agree with you about Reed. Cut him and bring up Rogers and Whalen!

Problem with a couple of weeks is that the trade deadline will have already passed. Could still sign a vet free agent though if need be. I say Rogers has all the potential in the world to be a solid contributor for us
  11. I don't know how some people feel about it but I think Vaughn did a good job returning kicks last night averaging roughly 29 yards a return I think. More explosive than david reed I'll say.. I don't hate reed by the way I just think vaughn looked more comfortable back there. Possibly a change there??

  12. he fits the system more than Angerer, Sheppard, or Harvey.

100% agree! Connor was thriving last year next to freeman I don't know why they ever took him out in favor of pat. Pat is a mike in a tampa 2 def not the 34 we run now. I love the guy to death but he is not a good fit for us anymore. Connor has better vision to shoot through the gap and last year, made a lot of tackles behind the los. I just can't see why they want pat in there so bad in favor of connor...
  13. First of all, you don't know that. Secondly, hating the Colts and wishing for them to lose has nothing to do with his feeling for the city and the fans. Go ahead and root on your team and boo the broncos. That's what fans do. But what I don't understand is why so many people expend so much energy on trying to hype themselves and others up to hate Peyton. It's not like he demanded a trade, or even left for more money in free agency. He has done nothing to disrespect the organization, the city, or the fans, nor did he sign with a bitter rival (a la Brett Favre). I just don't get it.

Nobody hates peyton around colts nation so where did that come from?? This game is not about what he did as a colt. Those times are done. Yes he will forever be a colt in my eyes too but he won't be a colt on sunday
  14. It's different though.  Peyton is a unique player.  What he has done for Indy on and off the field is different.  He has made many connections with people in the community and has gotten to know many Indy citizens as friends.  What's wrong with cheering for a friend or someone who has done something to make your community better?  I'm not saying I hope Peyton wins; I'm cheering for the Colts.  But if people want to cheer for Peyton, I don't see the issue

It wouldn't be an issue if we weren't playing him in a huge game we need to win. When he isn't playing the colts I do cheer for him. Just didn't see why I should wear a peyton jersey since he is not our qb anymore and is trying to kick our butts
  15. Enhance your calm, John Spartan.  You're worrying about this waaaaay more than Peyton is.  He's not sweatin' us at all.

You worried about who's supporting Manning?  Worry about the fans who'll stay quiet enough for him to run his offense.

You obviously are since you'll be wearing his jersey
  16. This jersey thing is really bothering you, isn't it?

This isn't like the light and dark sides of the Force here.  I'm not going to be consumed by the Broncos by wearing a Manning Colts jersey.  That's just crazy talk.

If I'm at the game, I'm not exhorting Peyton to another win and I'm not spending it caressing the 18 on my shirt.  I would hope that the all the other Colts fans around me are helping me urge the Colts into a sound butt-whipping of the Broncos instead of looking down on me for having the audacity to wear the only jersey I own to a game.  I have a lot of respect and admiration for what Manning has brought to the game and to the city, but when he takes the field, he's the opponent now.  Period.

I understand I just think it's weird to wear a peyton jersey if you're a colts fan and they're playing his team. Just not something a would do that's all
