  1. Woods for a 6th round pick? I mean I know he’s hurt but we weren’t interested? Maybe OBJ? Are the Colts even looking?
  2. All about who Watson wanted to go to. At this point, the pressure was now on Texans to get the deal done before the browns use that as leverage
  3. this, only thing I’d say I’m disappointed in is not grabbing a WR and DB. But I can see why we couldn’t get one without having a QB. I could see moving up into the late first round and grabbing a receiver using our second and Washingtons 3rd. If we can grab a DB, I’d be ok. also thinking ballard might have his eye on a LT in the draft or Pryor is making the change.
  4. @nflrums said Green Bay matched raiders offer but adams chose the raiders. Ouch. Wonder how Rodgers feeling right now.
  5. makes sense for him to go to the rams. Get paid and a chance at the sb. Division got weaker also. makes me think of OBJ on the way out. Also, not sure how hurt Winston is. Pretty sure we’ll see the next round of qbs go once the Watson domino fall
  6. crap, that isn’t a bad deal at all. Hopefully ballard is banking on pulling OBJ away or maybe he’s thinking about the draft. Being told this draft is deep in WRs. Wouldn’t mind grabbing another MPJ in the second round but man would’ve been happy grabbing Allen. and we also don’t have a qb which probably dissuaded Allen if we were actually speaking with him
  7. yup, how could I forget. This contract is probably front loaded.
  8. true, most i would’ve went would be $20, but now I see he had other things in the works and he made the right move. That’s why he get paid the big bucks and I’m just an armchair GM lol
  9. I ain’t mad at Von. Got his ring so now he’s cashing out lol
  10. i figured he was gonna go for $17 per year. Wonder what the colts offered. This is one of those times I wish we overpaid.
  11. I get what you saying and I agree. We will see. I don’t expect us to splurge and I wouldn’t want us to. But we will see…how many years has it been that we’ve had the most or top 5 cap space? Let’s see if it changes.
  12. my main beef with him is that he isn’t aggressive enough. Idk if he’s being aggressive or not but the lack of talent at key positions shows. Other teams have those same key positions and the teams that compete are able to fill them mostly while we seem to not. I think his drafting has been good. He’s done a solid job of building a foundation and performing what I like to call a “moving rebuild”. But his lack of success in FA is hampering this team. I said this in another thread. It’s ok to build through the draft but we can’t solely depend on it. We have to use FA to fill the rest of our holes and make up for the misses in the draft. When we don’t hit in the draft or FA, it hurts the team that much more.
  13. Jesus I just used it as an example. I don’t know if we wanted him or not. There aren’t any reports even linking him to us. Just because I didn’t outright say it. I literally said “for example” and used it as a comparison. What is your problem? and then I even mentioned it was something I think we could’ve which means it was my personal opinion and not something that was actually happening. calm down
  14. I agree with that also and is my main knock against him. That’s why I used that reddick as an example.
  15. theres a difference between being a bystander and pulling out of negotiations. For example, I think we could’ve went after reddick by giving him more than what the eagles offered. 3/$45 with $30 mill guaranteed. We could’ve offered more there. But $21 mill for a receiver who was a second (maybe third option) on his team, no. Overpay, but overpay without giving out ridiculous contracts. and not only did they overpay, they screwed the WR market. Now receivers are going to look at him and say if that’s what HE got then I want no less.
  16. i agree but you don’t give that money to THAT quality of receiver. I don’t mind overpaying for talent that’s worth it. But Kirk getting paid that much is a HUGE overpay. This is one of the reasons why prices go up. now if he doesn’t play up to $21 mill standards, we would be the first people to want the GM gone. this is why Byron wanted Baalke GONE lol
  17. they can have Kirk for 4 years and $84 million. He was someone I wanted but not for $21 a year.
  18. My guess also. You’re going to overpay. We get outbidded every year
