Wegher has a great story. He has run well everywhere he has played. Had some academic and trouble with the law. Seems cleaned up and determined to make it in the NFL.

um, not sure why you're quoting me? I didn't complain about this signing or question it?
I didn't realize I was quoting you. I just copy and pasted this from wikipedia.

Could we have done better ?
Melvin made his debut for the Baltimore Ravens on December 14, 2014. In his first game, he was a pleasant surprise on the Ravens' hobbled secondary, recording 5 tackles and 1 pass deflected. In his first start the next week, Melvin continued his success, recording 8 tackles and a forced fumble. In week 17 against the Cleveland Browns, Melvin had 4 tackles.
However, this success would not carry into the playoffs. On January 10, 2015 against the New England Patriots, Melvin allowed 12 catches on 15 passes thrown his way, giving up 224 yards and two touchdowns, according to Pro Football Focus. After a bad performance in Week 3 of the 2015 NFL Season against the Cincinnati Bengals, he was benched and became inactive for the next two games; the Ravens released Melvin on October 13, 2015.[3]

Probably means Butler is healthy. I'm not sure what else it would mean.
I sure hope you are right.

Dropping a corner probably means that health is getting better at the position, either that or we need the pass rush that bad.
I wonder why a DB was released and not a LB ? I hope there are some good health news at DB.

When is the practice squad made ?

Any chance they'll carry more than 5 D Lineman ? If not how do you pick between Kerr, McGill, and Ridgeway for #5 ?

Well I believe Ridley will make it if he stays healthy. But honestly him and Todman both are not good. But as a 3rd back I guess one or the other will have to do!
IMO it was a mistake to waive Trey Williams.I liked him in his limited opportunity.

Trey Williams belongs on there over Ridley, Ferguson, and Turbin. I don't get it.

I realize we are short at CB, but, 32 years old and not good last year On March 12, 2015, Browner signed with the New Orleans Saints.[11] In September, he was elected as one of the defensive team captains (along with Cameron Jordan).[12]Browner finished with 76 tackles and 1 interception.[13] Browner's year in New Orleans was not a successful one: he ended the season rated as one of the least effective cornerbacks in the league, and received more penalties for the season than any player in the league since this statistic began tracking in 1999.

I know we're impressed by Morris already, but when it comes down to cut time, who are you taking? They're both playing well, so it's unlikely we can stash either one onto our practice squad based on the preseason film, so we need to pick. Tolzien has more NFL experience, but I feel like you know what you're going to get with him, whereas Morris is more raw but displays more promise. Knowing Andrew Luck's injury last season and the growing pains at o-line, it's a very real possibility we may have to play whoever our backup is for an extended period of time.
Keeping both doesn't seem plausible due to our injuries (esp. at defensive back), but I listed it anyways. We need all the player space we can get.I like to keep them both and sign Morris to the practice squad, but someone would probably sign him off our practice squad. What a hard decision that will be.

I want to see more Trey as well. I hope he gets some carries with the 1s tomorrow.
I wish the coaches would listen to us. LOL Williams is the only backup running back I've seen so far this year. I agree the line has to start blocking and opening up holes much better.

The running backs have been awful. I sure would like to see more of Trey Williams. He is the only back that has shown anything IMO.

Not surprised. The RBs have all looked abysmal in pre-season. Not one of them excites you and even with Kelly I'm not ready to hitch my wagon to a 33 year old Frank Gore. Ridley could give us what Herron and Bradshaw gave us as a guy you can get out in space and get creative with.

Ridley has some talent, size and speed, but he likes to fumble which I don't like. Just not sure where he's at right now and he keeps getting cut so.....
I agree, he'snot the answer. He suffered from fumbleitis in New England

I don't think Stevan Ridley is the backup RB answer. What should the team do ? I want to see more of Tre Williams.

Karlos would eat him and ballon up over 300lbs. I'd pass on both.
The staff loves Ferguson. I want to see more of Trey as far as fast small backs is concerned we have 2 that know the O. The grass isn't always greener on the other side of the fence.
Yup, I like Williams a lot, but he is not getting much work. I like him the most out of all the backup RBs.

This is one time I tip my hat to Grigson. I look back to how much it meant to have a quality center in Jeff Saturday for Manning. All i have heard are great reviews for Kelly's play so far. Knock on wood, if he stays free from injury this should turn out to be a great 1st rd. pick. After Luck getting beat up in the past, I'm sure he is glad Grigson drafted him.
