  1. Minshew couldn't hit the broadside of a barn if he fell out a boat today.

JT with two boneheaded runs out of bounds on the last drive, especially on 2nd down where he could have fought close to the first down. Proud he fought to stay in the game but maybe a healthy Moss would have been better.

Yeah he’s not playing as bad as you are making it out to be.  As I said in my post he still has work to do to get back to the player he was.  However he’s not the bum some are making him out to be.  As I said in the post game thread today was not a good day for the linebackers across the board.  However a lot of that was the Pats oline blowing the dline off the ball causing the linebackers to not be attacking downhill and just trying to get backs down.  It’s really hard for any linebacker to stop a running back that can cut and juke going full speed and you don’t know where hes going.  That’s what happened today because the Pats oline ate up the Colts dline.

also it’s not just my eye test that tells me Shaq has played better than some want to admit.  His PFF grade (that people love to swear by) has been good and has graded as the Colts best linebacker this year.

With that said I freely admit this was not his best game but it wasn’t a great game for any of the linebackers today for the reason I said above.

Yesterday his PFF grade was 30.6, which is atrocious and about what my eyes told me (I guessed mid to low 20s). And while yesterday was probably his worst game, his play just has not been good.

He just hasn't shown the speed, reaction, fluidity, and play making ability that made him a star. Again, I hope so much for even a 75% return to form but one can only hold out hope for so long.

9 tackles including a key tip on a pass.  You can say he’s not playing up to his contract but he’s not playing as bad as some want him to.  He’s getting better each week.  It would be nice if he could force or turnover or two though.

    Ohhh Puhhh-leeezzzz

I'm not sure anyone wants Leonard to play at a high level again more than I do. Sadly, with that said, he was absolutely horrendous today and the lights just haven't been on all year.

Today, he was hesitant, getting put on his *, getting juked in open field and he just looks plain slow. Unfortunately, 7 assisted tackles on a stat sheet does not a good day make.

He looks like an old man trying to recapture his glory days and it's just so sad. A sure fire HOF career ruined and now he will likely hardly be remembered outside of Indy. Again, I really hope something changes but those injuries have clearly wrecked him.

If we are drafting early, QB1 has to be in consideration. That is what sucked so much about the timing of AR going down...

Question is…Should we use an early draft pick next year for the backup qb spot? Penix maybe!?

    IMHO ......

I see Ogletree taking the inline role and Granson taking the Move TE role

    Granson, has improved greatly

They will be the 2 starters........  Woods will spell Ogletree

Cox isnt on the team next year...... IMHO

Granson has improved but he is still little more than just a guy IMO. I would eventually like to see Mallory and Woods get more PT and Granson less.

I do 100% agree that Cox will walk next year and Olgetree will take that inline spot, especially with how well he's blocking lately.

No, I’m just saying IF JT returns to form, which form is it going to be? 2021 or 2022’s? I hope he returns to 2021 cause 2022 wasn’t that great even pre injury

The offensive line this year is back to near 2021 form vs bottom feeder 2022 line. That may have played a role along with his ankle. Should the line keep up this effort, JT will shine.

The Colts do have a decision to make but that is not the decision they need to make.

The decision to make is whether to get in on the Caleb Williams sweepstakes at the end of the season.

To make an informed decision, AR needs to play every game possible so Colts can properly evaluate.

If AR is healthy, he needs to play

No, we are not going to be in Caleb Williams sweepstakes. We won't have the record and we have our QB. Not even close.

Moss  has been averaging over 5 yards per carry since he came back healthy, that was before today.  I never said bench JT, I said make him earn his starting spot. Moss has been playing very well.

He will be a great spell back for JT. However, once JT gets his legs and wind back, it won't be close.

To me, Moss has earned the starting role until he doesn’t. Means I’d make JT earn his starting spot back. And that doesn’t look to be easy

So you want to bench AR and JT? Some hot takes from you today.

With that said, great game from Moss. Finally found a really good spell back for JT. No more Hines up the middle for a cloud of dust.

Because you could have TWO tackles both on their rookie contract.   That would give the Colts more flexibility going forward.

If you want to trade a veteran player to acquire good draft picks, which veteran would you move?  Honestly, who?

You could move Smith who — as you noted — is playing very well.   But let’s not forget many posters here have been complaining about him for years.   It’s hard to trade him coming off a down year.   The time to do it is coming off a good year if you think you can replace him in the draft.

Look, I’m just thinking out loud.  I’m not banging the table for this.   Odds are high it’s not happening.   But I thought it would be an interesting discussion point.   Most here agree with you.   Few agree with me.

You don't move Raimann when he is playing near elite at LT.

I'm ok with the idea of trading Braden, for the right return, if you believe Freeman will be a good RT or you plan on drafting his replacement in the upcoming draft.

Drafting a top 5 LT, who is no guarantee, and moving a near elite LT to RT is super messy and likely to blow up in your face.
