I like DeMichael Harris -- but it is somewhat strange to me that now 3 weeks in a row a WR from the practice squad has been elevated and is active over Patmon..

Patmon must not be much of a special teamer.

  2. Death, taxes, and forcing Hines shotgun dives.

The funny thing is when we went to single back set (12 or 13 personnel) the run worked pretty well, but then we went back to the crappy shotgun dives which are unimaginative and called so predictably. Most of the time the back is hit in the backfield because defenders know what's coming and sell out. If only Frank did ONE (1!) PA off that into a TE pop pass or something.

No he wasn't.   The one with Ngakoue wasn't a sack becaues he fumbled the ball.   I don't recall another time he was even touched.  When was the other time?

That still goes in the book as a sack (strip sack). We should know, Freeney and Mathis had enough.

Totally agree.  Can you find anyone that didn't say, "Bjorn Werner?  When Xavier Rhodes is on the....?  Oh, and there, the Vikings take him with the next pick."

To be fair, there were many, many draft boards/mocks that had Werner in top 10. Also, as someone who followed FSU, I loved Werner (and Rhodes) in college.

In hindsight, Rhodes would have been the better pick haha

So let me get this straight. Me saying that I understood where the poster said comparing (as it relates to Doyle and Cox) Doyle being more akin to Clark has got you this worked up?

    Its an opinion man. Relax.

Yes, it's an opinion, a wild one. And you are more than entitled to it.

Just as I said in the first line, Doyle has been used more down the field than what a typical TE would be. Didn’t say they were identical, just that I understand where they were coming from that Doyle has been leaned on more as a receiver than Mo has been used as a blocker.

If that's the measuring tape, I compare Doyle to Jimmy Graham and Vernon Davis haha

I see what he means though. Doyle historically has been used more down the field than what you would expect a TE to do. To me Clark was always more of a beefed up slot receiver than a true TE.

In what way is that similar to Doyle? He is an old school inline blocker with strong hands and below average speed.

Doyle's longest career catch is 28 yards, on a tricky play this year, week 1. Clark caught a 28+ yarder seemingly weekly.

Don't get me wrong, I love Doyle, but he is what he is.

doyle is still better as a route runner and has better hands.  When mo lines up he is usually a run blocker so the last two weeks he is not getting as much attention .   doyle is more like a dallas clark type tight end while mo is a run blocker who can catch .  I need more then two good weeks to start him over doyle who has been a pro bowler and good for this team for last couple years.   I like the idea of the two tight end sets with both of them.

Doyle and Dallas Clark are absolutely nothing alike. Their similarities begin and end at "TE".

That TD run was special.  It looked like the defender had him dead to rights.  Taylor is still learning, but he looked good overall, besides the one run right into the backs of his o-line early on.  Looks like he could have cut left.

That 3rd and 3 run was bad, had he run left he had probably 8+ yards. The TD run was great but the Safety Mcdougal also wanted nothing to do with JT, with his half-butt lunge in the hole.

He really surprised me, especially after the rough start with the INT off his hands.

And to be fair Harrison Smith made a heck of a play there and then terrible luck on the bounce.
