I don’t mean to make too much of how you described something….   But I don’t understand you calling Raimann “an immediate starting caliber LT.”   ???

To me, an immediate starting caliber player is starting at a high level week one.   That wasn’t Raimann.   He was beyond terrible for about 10-11 weeks, then the light went on around week 12.    It doesn’t look like the Colts view Freeland the same way.   He’s only been used on xtra points and FGs until this week, where fortunately he did a decent job.   But the Colts have not been treating Freeland as they did Raimann.    So I don’t see an apples to apples comparison that you seem to see.

He has been one of the best LT this year and is only improving. Why are we even talking about moving him and shaking up the line again?

This team has plenty of issues that need to be fixed, why create more?

In giving up only 19 points, those are the worst defensive grades I've ever seen.

Do you follow PFF closely? These defensive grades are actually pretty decent. We had 2 elite graded players (super rare), 5 good/great, 5 average.

I can't say for sure but I'd be willing to bet that Juju set the highest PFF grade for a rookie CB in his first game.

  3. Sanchez looks like he's been body snatched. He was possibly the worst punter in the league, easily bottom 5, in the first two weeks. He was better today but still not good and a really bad punt at the end that almost cost us the game. I hope he is still just working out some kinks, post injury.

Outside of Matt Gay, Colts special teams has been atrocious.

Worth noting they got fair catch situation fixed.  The Ravens punted later and the Colts fair caught it at the 11.  Still a costly mistake but at least they adjusted it in game.  Ironically two special teams mistakes by the Ravens helped the Colts win by fair catching the punt after the safety rather than running around for a couple of seconds to get inside the two minute warning and the rare short kick by Tucker at then end.

There is never a time you don't catch the ball at the 14 yard line there. McKenzie looks scared when anyone gets near him. I know he fumbled a bunch of punts in Buffalo and it's clear he is still not comfortable. If they don't replace him, it will come back to cost us. He's decent on returns (when he catches it and has some room) but he is not comfortable catching it and that is the most important thing for a punt returner.

He is a ticking time bomb back there. Only a matter of time.

Jay Feely just doesn’t understand football.  See my thoughts in my first post of this thread.  I can stomach Loften but Feely needs to go back to the sideline and only talk about kickers.

Jay Feely said we should have gone for it on 4th and 7 at midfield on our  second(?) drive. Guys a buffoon, it's no wonder he's on the CBS F squad.

Have it your way man. It seemingly matters a hell of a lot more to you than it

      does me.

It matters to me when people make inaccurate claims with nothing to back them up...

So yeah, we can agree you were wrong and move on.

Alluding to the first game when there were numerous plays where AR looked down field

but pulled it down and took off. Was nobody open at all or just not open enough ?

And fwiw, the ball to Granson on Sunday was high.

The first game is irrelevant and makes no sense in regards to "well minshew was finding open receivers!" Comment.

The game in which they both played a significant amount, they both were efficient and found open receivers.

The ball to Granson was very good. Don't downplay it to try and make your point. AR would have been 8/10 (3/4 after his concussion) if it weren't for two drops. Even PFF has the Colts receivers down for two drops in the game. I'll let you guess who those two are.

Post concussion, AR also had a very good throw to Josh Downs called back due to penalty. So, 9/11 and possibly another scoring drive.

So, once again, AR was finding (and hitting) open receivers at an elite level, even while playing concussed. Minshew did great, but don't spin the narrative.

Yep, would be nice to see the all-22 film.

Interestingly though, there seemed to suddenly be guys 'open' with Minshew in the

      game.

Unsurprisingly, I suspect that AR is not yet to the point where he's comfortable

turning it loose to a guy that is 'NFL open' (barely open at all, if not just even with

the DB with slight leverage in one direction and needs to be 'thrown open') vs

'college open' (a yard or more).

      Hopefully he'll get there soon.

What are you talking about? Prior to ARs injury, he was 5/6 throwing with 2 TD runs. Is that not a QB being efficient and finding "seemingly open" targets?

And even after his concussion he had a few good throws that just weren't caught (the out to Pitt and hook to Granson, just off the top of my head).

A little suprised Moss was the only RB with carries, but he did well.

When you have the depth at RB that the Colts have, that should be of no surprise. Absolutely the right call.

Frank Reich would force carries to lesser backs due to some unwritten old coach law. Good riddance.

look, the "week 1, things are getting going" is only gonna be an excuse for so long.

Ebukam should've at least got 1 pressure, and he didn't. that's concerning

But... it's literally week 1 bro? However, you're right that "week 1" would not be an excuse in week 8.

He got a 64 for pass blocking. If he is a 64 and the worst- and AR still was under pressure, I’m guessing the receivers weren’t open and it wasn’t the OL?

I drive a truck, so I only heard the radio broadcast, didn’t see any of it.

The line pass protected well all game. Sacks came from holding ball too long or scrambling out of bounds behind LOS.

I think Raimann is going to be an elite level LT in due time.

The part you found irrelevant is this….

That even if Freeland makes the team it’s proof of NOTHING.    Pryor made the team last year and was terrible.   Pinter made the team last year and was terrible.   Fries made the team last year and wasn’t very good.    And Raimann made the team last year and was terrible for the first half of the season.    That’s four players who made the team and we’re not very good for the most part.

So you can cheerlead for Freeland all you want.   Making the team won’t mean much to me.    I’m looking for players who can contribute in a positive way.

According to some,  that makes me Debbie Downer.   Welcome to the Colts in 2023.

Yes all of that is still irrelevant. Freeland is making the team.

He might not make the 53.    He might just make the practice squad.

As for agreement, you had to delete a fair amount of my post, in fact two posts, to come close to agreement.   Not a good look.

I deleted everything else because it was irrelevant. He will make the team (the 53). Period.
