Meh. Formerly great player gets cut by his team, and uses it as motivation. Most professional athletes walk around with a giant chip on their shoulder anyway. I don't care about this one bit.

I actually wish the Colts had been more vocal about why they cut him. I'm frustrated by how little information we got about the decision.

True, but the Colts have still paid him very good money even this year that will secure him and his family for years to come so maybe he should just be grateful for what life have brought him so far and let his play on the field talk for him if he feels entitled to more. But whatever, I gues…

I meant to come back to this earlier. I think it's acceptable to decline to comment on an ongoing contract dispute, especially when there's a prolonged standoff. That's the right thing to do.

If Steichen doesn't address this situation -- resolved, major contributor being waived on an off day, etc. -- I'll have a big problem with it. The media and the fans rightfully have questions that should be addressed. He should stand and answer them, not deflect with meaningless boilerplate responses.

I'd much rather hear from Ballard, to be honest.

I do wonder how the locker room is going to react to this one, could be a major test of Steichen behind the scenes. Any take on that angle, Supe?

Ex Head Coach Frank Reich's new team?  Terrible.

Ex Defensive Coordinator Matt Eberflus' new team?  Terrible.

Ex Offensive Coordinator Nick Sirianni's new team?  Superbowl contenders.

The last time Colts had a good team?  2020.

The last time Sirianni was with the Colts?  2020.

Things that make you go hmmmmm......

The QB equation doesn’t matter? :hide:

Watching this and seeing how many times Young is on his behind or running while his receivers haven't even turned around it's obvious they have more issues than QB play. Their Oline is trash and Reich's playdesign is 20 years behind the curve.

Reich has lost the touch (if he ever had it in first place, not sure). Yes, I know that he has given up play calling on offensive the last couple of games, but he is done as a NFL HC, sorry. We should know of all people, right?! haha:facepalm:

  6. Panthers @ Dolphins,

Maybe this could turn out to be a trap game for Dolphins. We of all people know that Reich is a slow starter, and if he wants to start at all this season, he have to get going right about now. What are the odds of Panthers winning? Could be an interesting bet for the adventurous….
