The Rockets are getting their butts kicked man. I'm considering changing my MVP pick after one game. If AD stays healthy, it'll be hard not to give him the award.

Love the way they aren't taking the foot off the pedal. This is a very sloppy game where we've had all kinds of turnovers and we are still up 29 points.
About ready to see Aaron Holiday, Edmund Sumner, and Alize Johnson in the game.
-
Victor said he worked on his ball handling and play making on double teams this summer but it doesn't look like it so far in the preseason and this game.
-
They basically let the bench play the whole second quarter because of the flow they had. Need to get out to the 3 point line better. Everyone's playing well right now except for Collison. 17-point lead at half.
Sabonis played 16 of 24 minutes and had 10 points and 9 rebounds.
-
Terrific D in the first quarter ending with Edmund Sumner coming right in the game and blocking a 3 at the buzzer.
TJ Leaf went down about a minute after he got in the game so hopefully he is OK.
Edit: Looks like TJ sprained his ankle and is questionable to return.

Ben Simmons is the truth. Haven't seen any proof his jumpshot has gotten any better, but when he figures it out it's over for everyone.

Solid deal. The next move should be to lock up Sabonis.
I don't know about that. I don't think we can afford to sign both if they can't play together. I think they made their decision for the future. I guess we'll see how the rotations go this season and how well Sabonis plays.
-
It doesn't matter who the fans would have signed because we don't even know which free agents Ballard pursued and didn't get.
Players choose certain teams over others for different reasons and fans can't just sit and complain because the player went elsewhere.

Looks like $18 million per year that potentially can become $20 million per year.

Well I figured they'd wait until the offseason to re-sign Myles so they could have more money to sign a max free agent.
Either way good for Myles and hopefully he can stay healthy and have a better showing in the regular season than he did in the preseason.
Also with the recent news of McMillan saying that Turner and Sabonis cannot play together effectively, I see Sabonis being traded early next season.
-
I figured this would be a long season because of all the young guys. It's like an NBA team who wants to tank the season by just throwing out their young talent and seeing which ones show enough to stick around.
However, I thought with Luck back there was no way we would win less than 6 games. I saw 6-7 wins. I may have to take that back if we can't beat a team like the Jets.

Not looking good here. Can't convert turnovers into touchdowns and the Jets are. Plus the receivers still can't catch.
-
The Bulls really defend the pick-and-roll well, which is about 90% of our offense.
-
The Bulls are beating the breaks off of us early. Not a good start in our regular season dress rehearsal. We have been on the road for a while so that could be a reason we're so lethargic.
I really wish Thad and Sabonis could finish around the rim better.
-
While I do love what Thad brings to the team, especially defensively, I wish he wouldn't shoot as much. It seems like every lay up he attempts is going to miss.

Edmund Sumner need to look for luxury apartments in Fort Wayne...
He's got potential and its spelled 'G-4-NOW"
His play in these first three preseason games has been very surprising. i thought he would just be a JAG that we kept in the G league and then cut in a couple of years.
The fact that Cory Joseph sat out tonight and Sumner got his minutes over Aaron Holiday is a testament to the work he put in this offseason and training camp.
He'll probably play some G league because we have complete rights to him and no one can steal him from us, but I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't play much in Fort Wayne and stays on the Pacers active roster.
He's definitely proving that he can be part of our future and is earning a spot on this team.
-
Edmund Sumner is a problem ya'll. He's finishing on everybody. It's crazy.
-
Watching the full game, TJ Leaf looked really good. Way better on defense this year and was terrific on the boards with 7 offensive rebounds and 12 total.
He even blocked Chris Paul's jumper matched up with him on an iso play.
-
Disappointed in Myles Turner as well. There was a stretch where the Rockets went on a 15-0 run with Carmelo at center. We have to take advantage of lineups like that with Myles in the regular season.

Final tabulation
Andrew Luck 38 of 59, 365, 3 Tds, 2 INTs
Brings on the Jets
My goodness I hope we can actually have a fast start and establish a run game in the next few games. We're going to rip Luck's arm off with all these attempts every week.
-
I'm desperately hoping we get a lot of our injured guys back next week.
I think AC was dressed and could have played in an emergency so I think that is a good sign for next week, Mack's had a couple weeks of limited practices so he's got to be ready at some point, the fact that Darius Leonard and Nate Hairston both got in limited practices and were game time decisions are good signs.
Clayton Geather's neck injury is really scaring me though.

we get the Jets..Buffalo and Oakland.....
'''the path to 4-4' is there!!!!
Winning all 3 of these games are the only chance we have at getting to the postseason. We certainly have a shot.

No looking at the stats for Myles tonight. He was freaking terrific. Still one of the best rim protectors in the league.
