  1. The hypocrisy is amazing.  lol

Unless your team never cheated and never had any players who did steroids you can't call the Pats cheaters.

Unless your favorite NCAA college team never violated NCAA rules then you can't call the Pats cheaters.

Unless you never cheated on a test in your life you can't call the Pats cheaters.

Unless you never cheated on a significant other you can't call the Pats cheaters.

Can you imagine all the illegal horrible immoral activities Colts' fans have done in their lives that makes spy gate look like nothing?  lol  Go into the parking lot outside Colts' stadium or any NFL stadium after a game and watch all the drunkard fans get behind the wheels of their cars and drive home intoxicated while they're slobbering all over themselves: "*s, Patriots cheated, *, spy gate."  lol

    oh okay i see

so police officers cant pull people over for speeding because they may have

congress men cant make anti drug laws because theyve used them

parents cant discipline their children because they made the same mistakes

  2. Why did the NFL take a draft pick away from the Pats and fine them?

We need to go back and remember that Senator Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania threatened congressional hearings against the NFL and Patriots over spy gate because he was upset the Pats beat his Eagles in the Super Bowl.  I kid you not.  This Senator actually wanted to drag Roger Goodell and members of the Patriots organization in front of congress and put them under oath over this nonsense.  lol  And many Pats haters would love that (even though at this time in 2007 we had 150,000 troops in Iraq, no WMD's found, Osama Bin Laden was still alive and in hiding and right on the brink of the worse financial collapse since the Great Depression and Patriot haters cared more about this spy gate nonsense than more important things in life.)  It's amazing how people are so obsessed over the Patriots that the Patriots can get such an immature emotional reaction out of people and turn grown ups into sniffling whining weasels.

Specter is a big Eagles fan.  If the Pats played a different team in that Super Bowl and won I doubt Specter would have even cared.

The NFL needed to do something for P.R. reasons whether or not it was justified.  They felt if they did nothing it would just increase more unwanted attention to the story, create more conspiracies like Goodell and Kraft being the best of friends (even though Goodell dislikes the Pats as he's a Jets fan and the NFL refs can't stand Belichick) and the NFL felt to squash it and move on was to do what they did to shut you up.  But no matter what the NFL did you just can't shut up ignorant people as Pats haters are still crying about it like some kid getting his lunch money stolen in 2nd grade.  The fact that Pats haters are still obsessed over this silly insignificant nonsense shows you that they are driven by hate and contempt and jealousy.  Get a life and move on.  Focus on improving your own lives.

Yet NE's crime isn't a mystery. We know exactly what it was: It was ignoring a league memo detailing where taping signals was and was not a league violation.

The Broncos did the same thing a few years ago and they didn't receive the same penalty. Why?

It was a drastic over reach by a brand new commisioner.

It also has nothing to do with "cheating to win Superbowls."

so  if it didnt give the Pats some type of advantage why did they do it?

  3. So the penalty dictates the severity of the "crime" and not the "crime" itself? So when weed dealers get 15 years in prison they're the scum of the earth but when sex offenders get out in 5 they're not that bad? The crime is the crime, which was taping a Jets game from a location deemed illegal by the memo. The penalty is a seperate issue and should have been opposed and fought.

in the case of the nfl yes, the system the nfl uses to reprimand teams has nothing to do with this countries legal system. punishments dont always fit the crime, but generally they do and the severity of a crime is reflected in the severity of a punishment. like all things there are exceptions. you using these few exceptions to say this is not true is as ridiculous as everything else youve said in this thread

  4. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1061258-fired-up-setting-the-record-straight-on-spygate

So... who wants to be honest and who wants to be spiteful and dishonest?

Who decides to be what really doesn't affect me.

yeah im sure the league tried to minimize it so ratings wouldnt plummet. but the fact is they didnt fine them almost a million dollars and take draft picks away for something "routine and common" just because other people did it doesnt make it right. as jimmy admitted he didnt gain an advantage from it. obviously bill did. Why would bill tape those signals if there was no advantage to be gained? just for fun? just to pay 500,000 grand and laugh? I guess so since because as you say "since one reported tape involved wasnt accesible, the rest of the tapes dont matter, spy gate wasnt real"

  5. Yup. A new commisioner from the Jets organization letting the league know a new Sheriff was in town. The penalty doesn't prove the Patriots were cheating when the story has been proven to be false. It only proves we were over penalized.

youre really stretching walsh gave the pats lots of tapes there was a false report he had a tape from the sb he didnt. that one little misprint doesnt negate all of this walsh gave them

    • One tape from the Miami Dolphins game on September 24, 2000
    • Two tapes, one offensive signals and one defensive signals, from the Dolphins game on October 7, 2001
    • One tape from the Buffalo Bills game on November 11, 2001
    • One tape from the Cleveland Browns game on December 9, 2001
    • Two tapes from the January 27, 2002, AFC Championship Game against the Pittsburgh Steelers
    • One tape, from a "third camera", from the San Diego Chargers game on September 29, 2002
  6. From your own source:

AND? Where's the "cheating"? The violation was in taping the signals from the wrong location.

    Further more"

STORY RETRACTED, BOSTON HERALD MADE A MISTAKE AND APOLOGIZED TO THE PATRIOTS.

This is what you base your "cheating" accusations on. A story that was retracted.

Belichick acknowledged when the rule was clarified by the league in September, 2006 - outlawing "videotaping of any type" during a game, he stepped over the line.

    so who doesnt understand spygate?

  7. So you don't know what "spygate" was in other words, and say rather hilariously that because they didn't fight the punishment for taping the Jets in 2007 (which they should of), that their 2001, 2003 and 2004 Superbowls were the result of "cheating."

You would make a great citizen in the novel 1984.

you clearly dont know what spygate was because the jets practice was a small (unethical) part

i think it was more due to taping defensive signals during the game right on the field

  8. Sounds desperate, Is desperate. Will always be desperate.

It's just slander. Doesn't bother me in the slightest and IMO reflects poorly on people who bring it up considering they have no evidence of any cheating and it's an invented story.

Belichick acknowledged when the rule was clarified by the league in September, 2006 - outlawing "videotaping of any type" during a game, he stepped over the line.

"Bill, you got the memo," Keteyian said. "I mean, you couldn't be any more clear than…"

"I made a mistake," Belichick said. "I was wrong. I was wrong."

"People have said you flat-out cheated," Keteyian said. "What do you say to those people?"

"What I've said to you," Belichick said. "I told you the truth."

hmmmm no evidence, i guess bill was just lying to make himself look like more of a jerk

  9. Yes, but given the circumstances and the number of injuries, isn't that a wash as far as the 2014 season is concerned?

New England played Denver earlier in the year with more of its players healthy and humiliated Denver. Irrelevant?

Denver is not the automatic #1 team in the AFC going into 2014. We'll see who is, but they don't deserve any kind of predetermined crown given they're 1-2 against NE since signing Peyton and have never defeated the Pats with Gronk on the field.

please name all the injuries denver had, thanks in advance

i guess von miller arguably the best jack lb/pass rusher in the game and THEE best LT in the game arent key injuries also the other 3 starters they were missing, maybe even more than that

if the pats sb chances are dependent on gronk when hes played only 18 games the past two years, then they may as well forfeit the season thats just ridiculous and shows how little you know about football

  10. kid youre a joke

Regular season games mean less because the competition isn't relavant to the play offs. How many times does this need to be said? What Denver does to the Oakland Raiders doesn't give anyone any idea how Denver might do against play off teams. Apparently this logic is completely lost on you.

When Denver plays New England, or Seattle plays the 49'ers, it isn't apllicable.

I have no idea why you don't understand this

exactly so maybe you should shut up and quit referring to this

That was one game while we were missing many of our most important players. You think that means Denver is clearly the top team in the AFC in 2014? Funny, when the Patriots humiliated Denver in week #12 I bet you weren't claiming the Patriots were clearly the top team in the AFC.

exactly because like you said regular season doesnt hold as much merrit as playoff wins, and the pats got stomped in the playoff and your boy could barley manage to throw ONE td pass in the post season in garbage time

thanks for proving my point that denvers playoff win hold a lot more merit in deciding which game proved who was best

  11. That was one game while we were missing many of our most important players. You think that means Denver is clearly the top team in the AFC in 2014? Funny, when the Patriots humiliated Denver in week #12 I bet you weren't claiming the Patriots were clearly the top team in the AFC.

    You lack concistsency.

The Ravens were 2012 Superbowl Champions and handed Peyton his latest one and done. Were you here saying the Ravens were the top team in the AFC for 2013?

    Nope. Consistency problems.

So where is your argument credible exactly?

you guys love to point out that peytons accomplishments in the regular season mean NOTHING because he hasnt experienced as much success in the post season. this would show you think the playoff wins carry more weight in proving who is the best than a regular season home game. now that the pats have lost in the playoffs, you claim they are still better because they barely won at home during the regular season. you cant have it both ways.

well you can i guess, but when people read your posts theyre just like   is this guy seirous?

if youre going to say that playoff wins dont count fine, then quit arguing brady is better because of the rings, were sick of youre double standards to defend a guy that hasnt won a ring in over a decade without knowing another teams coverage pre snap

also was denver not missing two all pros, chris harris, olinemen etc? if you want to blame injuries then it is more fair to say the colts wouldve stomped NE as they were missing more key players than anyone in the nfl

  12. Sorry H-Back as the 1st poster was describing. Figured you would get that.

no need to be sorry i always assumed h-back was Half back and vice versa as i explained above because of the missuse in youth football, and it made me feel like a # ha. if you wouldve said h-back im not gonna lie i might have asked the same thing because i assumed they were the same, maybe i wouldnt have but i doubt it.

if i wouldve known what it meant to begin with i wouldve understood what you mean, just a misunderstanding,  but to my credit i thought the way you guys were talking it wasnt the same position thats why i said i might be misunderstanding, cheers

  13. Yup, that was me. I don't respect Peyton. He's done some shameful things off the football field and we hand his butt to him and make him look like Mark Sanchez too often for me to idolize him, but my respect for Peyton isn't what this thread is about.

Would you like to copy paste one sensical argument that makes the case the Denver is clearly the superior team? Maybe I missed it, or maybe, like I said, it doesn't exist.

geez you sure made it easy on me

Because you got wrecked in the AFCCG.

if you think there is a better way to determine which team is better than playing head to head then youre just .....  :nutz:  :gloomy:  and also

also did you really say you didnt respect peyton because hes done shameful things off the field?

the team with the murderers/women beaters/ and dirty players is okay though? fail

  14. All I'm seeing here is nonsensical arguments and spite.

    Very telling.

its a shame we dont troll other forums then, because if we did we would know youre the most spiteful/nonsensical person here when it comes to peyton manning

were you or were you not the person that started a thread on a pats forum titled "do you even RESPECT peyton manning"

i can understand not liking peyton, or even thinking tom is better, but to not respect the guy that broke arguabley the most sacred passing single season records in football screams spite and nonsensical louder than anyone on this forum

also the pats havent been 16NO for a while, maybe you didnt realize this because you dont watch the games. that would explain your lack of ignorance as to why denver is better, youre still stuck in 07 lawl

  15. Tebow was crushed by the Pats and the Hawks crushed the Broncos last year. Like I said, when he stops getting crushed in the post-season we can talk about how he is a top 10 GM.

Grammar Nazi? How about just basic use of apostrophes, capital letters on names and a comma or two?

so gms arent good if they make a run in the playoffs and dont win the sb gotcha. just fyi elway is not the coach he doesnt prepare the team to play hardly. i could understand if the point you were making was about John Fox, but your arguement that because a gm that has taken his team to the playoff almost every year including a SB appearance (maybe every year not looking it up) should be viewed as terrible because some of the point differentials were high is ridiculous at best. thats probably due to a coach not preparing his team well, not the because of the gms personnel choices.

  16. First, I am a hypocrite, fanboy and now I am articulate and intelligent? I don't know whether to feel this  or this :kitty:

In all seriousness, I love to engage in debate over football. Happy to discuss anything. Just relax on the attack mode all the time and you will find amicable responses. Even from Pats fans. ;)

a persons capacity for intelligence isnt negated by bad decisions. it may appear as if it isnt there but that doesnt mean the person cant call upon their intelligence when they need to

  17. None of those GMs had Manning.

And you really need to spell check/grammar check your quote ...

when the broncos went to the playoff and one a game who did they

im not writing a text book, so please pull me out of the furnace of your aushwitz grammar nazi emporium

  18. beanstalker.gif

grow up. youre usually pretty good at manipulating the question at hand to fit your agenda when someone calls out and are normally very articulate and despite your philosophys and opinion i dont think ive ever called you stupid because you strike me as pretty intelligent under neath it all. this is beneath you

  19. When he doesn't get crushed in the post-season.

well you said you could name ten gms better than elway yet only one other gm made it as far into the post season as elway. youre arguement on what makes a good gm just supports elway it seems
