It's all good, the heat at work helped me lose the weight so I will look my best on 14Sept when I walk my daughter down the aisle and give her away to my new son in law. And there is a bonus to her happiness--he has field level end zone season tickets, don't get me wrong, he will be a wonderful husband as well!

Not knowing if MIColtsFan is male or female I chose to delay any reply to the comment....lol

Future son in law is a great guy.....and has section 128 season tickets!

Birthday is next week and so far about 10 aunts, uncles, and cousins are driving from Indy to La Porte to help eat birthday cake!

Nope, even though South Bend is the only city between Chicago and Fort Wayne with stations we can't get the INDIANA team on Sunday. There has to be a way to change this stupid bleepin' rule when the game is sold out.

It's especially tough now that I don't have computer access, I can read posts here any time but for some reason my tablet won't keyboard won't let me post here so I get on when I can and hopefully stay current enough to get my "fan" card punched.

I'm glad the heat finally broke and it's a balmy 87 outside now. Never thought I'd appreciate that....

I "acquired" several hundred good ebooks many of which are SciFi so I don't read reviews, I just look for my favorite authors (there are quite a few) and start reading. I love that ebooks are such small files and I can keep thousands of them on my Nook, which I modded to use as a fully functioning tablet and have 32gb storage so I'll never run out of room!

Yeah, it's gonna be miserable and we don't have AC, even the break room just has a fan.

Taking my standard "hot day" supplies, 6 or 7 liters of sparkling water and gatorade.....

It wasn't that hot (93 indoors, 102 near the ovens)but it was humid and we were short handed so there wasn't much down time. I always take 4 or 5 liter size bottles of sparkling water to work with me and drink them all but rarely need to "pause for the cause."

Nope, I'll never get sunstroke, my water processing equipment works overtime.....but thank you for the good advise!

Yeah but you should have seen the glares I got from my wife AND daughter when I (jokingly) suggested to have it in a country church we all know and have a pot luck in the basement.....

I could feel the stares even though I wasn't looking their way. Evidently wedding days are nothing to joke about.

@sw1, I don't know about that neoprene innertube you're talking about I just love watching good acting....lol!

If you really want to watch it, find the first season and try it. These are the last episodes before cancellation and really aren't as good as the early ones were.

Syfy, it's been on 5 years and it's about a town filled with geniuses that have interesting problems.

That is a problem because the accent is real easy to pick up, the odd thing is when I visit with friends or family from there, which happens often, the drawl creeps back into my speech and it stays for days after getting home again.

LOL, Texans are proud of their heritage and it would be more like: "Just sent another yankee home air mail!"

@Mac, I lived in Dallas and during storm season the hotel I worked in had one of the maintenance men go up to the roof to watch for tornadoes dropping and the view was a loooong way around because the roof was 21 stories up! If one had gotten close it's doubtful I could have gotten out of harms way in time.

I still don't know for sure what they are for but if you ask what they are, sometimes people give them to you.

Popularity is fleeting, never got to set at the "cool" table in school.....

Just keep in mind the day will come when you actually miss the days in a classroom.
