  1. This is the type of stuff that cracks me up and keeps me coming back to this forum.

    1) Blount quit on his team 4 days ago.

    2) Blount got caught smoking weed with Bell less than 24 hours before a game less than 4 months ago.

    3) He has been on 4 teams in 5 years - something is amiss with the guy.

    4) Steeler players reportedly wanted him gone before he walked off early.

    5) His talent & skill set is similar to a back that the Colts already have on the roster.

    6) He does not know the Colts system - how long before they could actually put him in a game?

    7) They have RB's on the PS they can bring up already who know the team & system

    8) Exactly how long does it take to become a distraction? Seems with Blount - not long at all

Yeah, can't possibly imagine why the Colts did not look his way

166 yards/4 touchdowns. Does that sound familiar to you at all? We get it he's a poor sport, he's a ME guy, he smokes natural plants, doesn't know our system. All valid points indeed. But the sad truth is that even while having all those negatives, he is still way better than any other option we currently have on our team. What's it matter if you know the system if you just plain suck at football. We are begging for failure by moving forward with Trent AND we let the Pats go and get another weapon that they've already proven can wreck us come playoff time. I can't wait to see the moment when Irsay has had enough with this staff.

  2. I've stated often that after Andrew Luck, Josh Chapman was my favorite pick of the 2012 draft. Not now obviously, but back at the time of the draft, I thought it was a seriously shrewd move and reflected well on Grigs. The right guy at the right place in the draft. 1st pick, R5.

But -- WOW! -- has this guy simply failed to deliver anything that was promised.

Remember all those comments from Pagano about how Chapman is... "the 800 pound safe stuck in the middle and no one is going to move him!" Remember that? I do.

Well, it seems to me that everyone is moving Josh Chapman out of the way. He appears to play softer than wet 1-play tissue paper. He seemingly provides nothing in the middle. And he doesn't even appear to put up much of a fight.

Honestly, I'd be relieved if it were revealed that Chapman is either hurt or ill. Because that's the way I think he's playing. We were abused in the middle Sunday night. And it's not just one play. When teams gash us, it's most often between the tackles. It does not look like anyone is concerned about him being in the middle.

I don't know how he grades out via the analytics. Watch and someone will say he's grading out terrifically! If so, no one will be more shocked than me.

He's my biggest disappointment. Not Hakeem Nicks. Not Trent Richardson. Not Gosder Cherilus. Not even the G/C/G trio.

Josh was supposed to be our rock in the middle. Our anchor. And so far, I've yet to see it. Any of it.

    Anyone else? Agree? Disagree? Anyone?

Have you not noticed a trend with Pagano? He's in over his head. He Overhypes EVERYBODY. Trent was also supposed to be our rolling ball of butcher knives. Landry was supposed to be our "Enforcer" that put fear in people...lol.

I don't think this guy knows how to evaluate real talent. I think he just looks at body types and looks at other elite players with the same body types and thinks we have us a future HOFer on our hands.

    I'm done with this staff

  3. Lol great job Grigs. Let the Pats go and pick him back up so he can give us the DOOK SAUCE come playoff time again. We'll trade a 1st for Trent but won't pick up a cheap proven RB lol...Logic. Patriots organization once again out smarting us. Am I the only one that gets the that feeling that just feels like our Front Office is being ran by 5 year olds? It's kinda funny sometimes. We're a bunch of Donkeys...HEEEE HAWWWWEEE

  4. He has a LONG history of doing stupid things (see: Oregon sucker punch, arrest for smoking weed, and walking out on his team to name a few). He's also never been consistently good. Yes had some huge single game performances, but even when he was the starter in TB he sparingly produced.

In my opinion, I'd never want anyone that walked out on his team in my locker room. It shows how selfish and childish of a player he is.

We just need people that can help us win games and get is into the playoffs for this season. It's a disaster waiting to happen if Trent is the guy moving forward. We don't need a Valedictorian to come and be the face and model of our franchise. We have the ability to give him what he wants..carries. he's not Adrian Peterson or our savior but he gives us a way better shot at a run game then Trent does. Atleast we know from personal experience that Blount is capable of having explosive games. Fans really need to stop being so picky. This is football, most the guys that play this game do tend to have anger issues or some type of temper problems. He's just not very good at holding it in.

  5. The guy walked off the field and out on his team.

    Why would we sign him?

People make mistakes and do dumb things when you're mad/upset. He's probably getting tired of going from team to team because there is always some guy coming out of nowhere that is younger or more talented than him and he gets dropped on the depth chart. That would get very annoying. The guy just wants to play, nothing wrong with that.
  6. I like football indoors. You can have a power game in nice weather too, so the bad weather stuff just gets in the way of good football, IMO.

That frozen tundra tough-guy marketing scheme is getting old.

Solid dark blue unis...jerseys and pants. White helmet with the two little horseshoes on the back, like the throwback helmets a few years ago.

They need to switch them up like Seattle has done. We could get really creative with our color scheme. Ya bad weather might cause bad football for teams that are used to being pampered indoors. But for the Greenbays, Chicagos, and New Englands of the world they gladly welcome you to come to their territory in December. It is a real thing. Outdoor teams have more of a toughness feel about them.

  7. The OP doesn't realize the choreographed media presentation of the NFL product.

Only teams with open air stadiums in northern cities are allowed to have a tough defense.

Tough, gritty, blah, blah.... Its the image that is sold to help compel the Neanderthals that live in that part of the country to over pay for beer and T shirts.

Baltimore, Pitt, NYG, NYJ (Ryan), Boston, now Seattle (rainy), sometimes Cleveland, Chicago, and Green Bay always are reported to have the toughest defense. Not necessarily great...but tough.

Like you have to be tough to sit outside at a football game when its 20 degrees....not just plain stupid.

Some teams can break that dogma every few seasons, like SF lately, but the message is clear. And with the dome, the Vikings and their fans will never be considered tough.

That image has been fostered for decades...as a sales pitch more than anything...and its been conditioned into the thought process of anybody that judges players, teams, or franchises.

Lol so true. I've always wanted the Colts to have an outdoor stadium, to me that's the ultimate way to play football..outside under the lights. Also as much as I love our jerseys I kinda wish they would switch them up finally. Bring in something that just looks mean. Our unis now scream finesse team.

  8. Funny you mention those guys when Pagano's record matches with theirs.

Lol true true, except you're missing the main part. We play in the AFC SOUTH. Andrew Luck is giving him that record, Paganos stupid game plans hardly ever work, the only time it works is against teams that we should obviously beat. How many times has pagano tried to force a run game that was CLEARLY not working and get us in the hole by a couple touchdowns in the first half. Andrew is the one who always has to come and bail him out and fire the ball all over the field while getting smeared on almost every pass attempt. It's getting hard to watch, the guy is gonna get hurt.

  9. Unless the coaches can start tackling players and not getting blown off the ball then I am not passing the buck to the coaches for the players not performing basic fundamental things. Again, if you can't tackle and you are getting blown off the ball there aren't really adjustments the coaches can do.

I'm really not one to ever be a negative downer either I'm a realist. But enough is enough, they've had more then enough time and I've seen all I need to see. I'll be watching all the games on tv for the rest of the year. That's the last time I'll get humiliated like that on our home field. Completely disgusted with what our staff has put together.

  10. Unless the coaches can start tackling players and not getting blown off the ball then I am not passing the buck to the coaches for the players not performing basic fundamental things. Again, if you can't tackle and you are getting blown off the ball there aren't really adjustments the coaches can do.

The staff are the ones that assembled this pathetic defense that has ZERO heart and no toughness about them. It's the coaches job to make sure your team is ready for a primetime home game with playoff seedings on the line. If they're not wrapping up then that's mostly on the players, but it's also on the coaches for not getting that technique buried in their brains. Players gotta go and coaches gotta go. Half of our starters should be role players and nothing more and I blame that on Grigson.

  11. I have nothing to say anymore about this team. All I can do is pray Andrew doesn't leave us when his contract is up. We are doing a terrible job building a team around him and it's all on Irsay. I love this team and I always will, I never downtalk them. But they really let me down. It's about to be a legit concern to start worrying about our future. With Mathis, Waynes contracts coming up, paying big money to players not panning out, Dwayne Allen getting injured every year, the future is looking very iffy to me. If we keep letting Andrew get bulldozed he'll leave us..and I wouldn't blame him.

  12. Ok, we lost

We ARENT as good as we think we are.

As long as you are breathing, you have a chance, but the reality is...... we are 3 players short on defense to have a SB team

    Our offense is good enough

But we need 3 things for next year:

A safety that can both cover and tackle.

    A pass rusher OLB

An inside LB thumper that can play 3 downs, AND cover a TE

Mathis could fill one of the spots for next year........ BUT

Until we address these holes, we are a good team..... not a great team

A good QB will ALWAYS exploit these

Love my Colts..... but this isnt the year folks

Our offense is not good enough because you forgot to mention O-Line. 14 carries for 4 yards is not "good enough". When your go to WR is 5'9" 160lbs soakin wet that is not good enough. Fact is we will not be able to fill all our holes next year. If we want a Ray Lewis thumper we'll need a top 15 pick. Won't happen in FA cuz we don't believe in paying for sure talent. We're a couple years away from being Legit

  13. We need to worry about just getting to the playoffs before we start talking superbowl. We could easily lose another 3 games this year, EASILY. The texans are just right behind us and we just had a complete epic meltdown on SNF. Id be worried about the state of mind our team is in before booking your superbowl tickets.

  14. I said 12-4 at the start of the season and Im sticking by it. I said we're going to the super bowl and Im sticking by it. call me delusional. call me a stupid homer I dont care. we will not lose another game and you can take that to the bank.

TBH, you are the exact definition of a homer. We just got our * handed to us and the next day ur booking us as future superbowl champs. That deserves a big ol LOL but the enthusiasm is great!

  15. Ok they are both super bowl champions after 10-15 years coaching. Pagano is in year 3. Can't win 11 games two straight seasons without knowing how to coach. He couldn't coach the week we played the Bengals? How about the Broncos, Seahawks, and 49ers last year?

Some coaches have it, some dont. Pagano doesn't. Look at what Arians has been able to do, his first couple years ever as a HC and he's already won coach of the year and well on his way to taking his 2nd team to the playoffs with the best record in football. Look at Jim Harbaugh, came right outta college and has been nothing short of consistent. Look at Pete Carroll. We hired the wrong guy idc if he's had cancer, he's a great guy, just not a good coach.

  16. Ok they are both super bowl champions after 10-15 years coaching. Pagano is in year 3. Can't win 11 games two straight seasons without knowing how to coach. He couldn't coach the week we played the Bengals? How about the Broncos, Seahawks, and 49ers last year?

You really wanna defend this sorry staff huh lol ill tell you how we're winning those games...His name is Andrew Luck. Without him we are nothing. But going by what you're saying...we're just supposed to let Pagano get all of his growing pains of being a coach out on us??!? No. We need someone that knows what the heck is going on. Andrew is good for atleast 2 superbowls! If bellicheck was coaching this team Luck would be in the likes of the greatest ever winning ATLEAST 3 RINGS. With this staff, we'll be lucky to even see one superbowl and that would most likely be a loss. We have a huge opportunity here to make up for all our disappointing years with Peyton and we are making LITERALLY 100% THE EXACT SAME MISTAKES.

  17. There's absolutely no way Luck doesn't re-sign. Don't be crazy.

Don't be so sure. I was saying the same thing, but Andrew doesn't look very happy out there. He wants to win but this team and staff is failing him and getting him beat up every week. Add that to the fact that almost every team in the league will be willing to throw in the house for him, and then we have ourselves a real problem.

  18. THE COLTS NEED TO FIRE PAGANO AND MALUSKY TODAY.ITS OBVIOUS THEY CANT COACH AGAINST HIGH LEVEL STAFFS.THEY HAD TWO WEEKS TO PREPARE FOR NEW ENGLAND AND THEY COME UP WITH THAT GARBAGE.THIS IS THEIR VERSION OF BUILDING A "BEAST" ON DEFENSE? THE 3-4 SUCKS.SAY WHAT YOU WANT ABOUT LUCK,HE STILL MISSES BIG PLAYS i.e. the MONCRIEF MISS AND A FEW OVERTHROWS TO WAYNE AND FLEENER.THIS TEAM STINKS.

Andrew missed a big play there but that's not why we lost. QBs are allowed to miss a few passes here and there..he's Andrew Luck, not jesus. Plus when your pocket is constantly collapsing on you and the defense knows that you're throwing it, it can get a little rough out there. The staff that we have put together is ruining what could be with this team.

  19. Well for the people talking about how the Colts are 0-3 against the Patriots, the first debacle was with Bruce has the head coach. And I'm tired of hearing people bring up Gruden and others only based on history. Gruden also got fired for poor play and you don't even know if his system fits our players. Oh and Tony Dungy was everything? He has lost plenty of playoff games and was labeled as too much of a nice guy like Pagano.

Except Dungy is now a superbowl champion, as is Gruden. Gruden has that fire that this defense needs and he also never had the luxury of having a QB like Andrew. And that game we lost against the pats with Bruce was the most competitive we've been against them by far and that was with all rooks. You'd be surprised how quickly you can bring guys in to learn your system if you actually know how to coach it to them. Teams do it all the time
