  1. Lets examine this. The Pats made the move to get him based on what they knew and what their opinions were of the junk in his bags. To many their reputation already questionable, was damaged even further.  Then they dump him. So what opinions turns in to knowledge? Who told them what? Did they sign him then investigate? This stinks like sidewalk fish.

Another one that is a qb in the NFL

Not enough room for a post that long. Some get caught, some don't. Some get publicized some don't. Some were drunk when they were on the field. Some had the team cover for them more so in college. Deny it? Go ahead.

The colts got no offers for Kelly.   Same scenario.   Except Hoyer has starting experience and doesn't try to start fights at high school games,  doesn't get drunk and get kicked out of a teammate's party only to wonder into a stranger's house.

Yeah, imagine a young male athlete doing that!!!!

  4. From NFL.com:

"Charlton's cut comes after Dallas opened the door for trade talks for the 24-year-old edge rusher. With veteran defensive end Robert Quinn returning from suspension and no bidders on the trade market for Taco's services, the Cowboys have opted to waive Charlton.

Dallas' 2017 No. 28 overall pick had been unhappy with the organization for some time. After being ruled inactive for Dallas' first two games of the season, Charlton tweeted "Free me" on Monday before deleting the message."

This wasn’t about power rankings. I think where we are at in statistics in the nfl after two games is very impressive. Who cares about power rankings. Although we are moving up.

Yeah, you're right. Power has nothing to do with football.....(although the Colts are moving up.) The only stat that matters is what's under the W column.

  6. "A fool and his money," a quote older than time. The irony here is these athletes have zero knowledge of what money is and how to manage it. The list of athletes that wind up broke after leaving their respective sports is as revealing as it is long. The word "billions" has come up in some sports talk shows in reference to the future salary demands. Wasn't it Ramsey that showed up in a Brinks truck ? The joke is on them in the end. All that being said what will happen when college players start getting paid? How many college players are there vs. pro players?

As a nutrition researcher, clean living is marketing babble, but whatever Brady is doing is working for him so more power to him for that. I think his pass protection and offensive system has a lot to do with his longevity as well.

As for Eli - I want to see him get traded to a contender. He deserves to go out with a shot at January football somewhere.

Clean living is marketing babble?! His longevity is due primarily to him health wise and to a head coach that figures out how to defeat everyone. As for Eli he probably will throw in the towel after his year. He will never be put in a position with a contender. My .02.
