  1. The Indianapolis Colts are coming to town to face a New England Patriots team who has had their number recently.

On Quick Slants, Tom E. Curran explained why he thinks the Patriots have a "real easy road" to the Super Bowl now that they're facing the Colts in the AFC Championship.

"How do you take the Colts seriously?" asked Curran. "I mean, it's the AFC Championship but the Patriots have outscored Indianapolis 144-66 over a very short span of time.

"They are not going to magically improve from that November 16th meeting in which Jonas Gray left cleat marks all over their chest, thighs and neck area. That team is in trouble and it knows it."

Really hate the Patriots, and how people think their this invincible team. I really hope the Colts players and coaches can use this type of stuff as added motivation to come out and beat the Patriots.

  2. Who is 'we';

Your post is missing the point.... I;m saying rest is always better....no matter who the team is

No Broncos or Pats are in a walking boot this week.....SD and Indy players are hurt

How many players did the Colts lose last week. How many did NE lose (zero)

My point is why you want a bye...and why bye teams are always better off than non-bye teams...

    Always.

Not true. Too much TIME OFF can lead to a team coming out flat where as a team that's playing every Sunday is on a roll and has that mindset locked in. Look no further than the 2006 and 2009 SD Chargers. Last year's Broncos too.

Having a bye can be a very dangerous thing.

  3. But both injuries that were aggravated last week while Denver rested..

SD is beaten up in some spots....advantage Denver

You realize that Broncos have Wilkerson, Wolfe, Von Miller and Ryan Clady all out for this game right?

Those guys are all way better than Ryan Mathews and DJ Fluker who are both likely to play anyway.

    Advntage SD.

  4. Ball control. Chargers dominated the TOP in 2nd half.

You will have to do a lot of that against us to keep us to our scoring avg. which is around 28 pts. Your offense is your best defense.

Yes indeed. TOP is the only way the Chargers can win games and that's the main reason they won.

  5. Hey guys, I know you were all surprised by the Colts uncharacteristic mistakes, poor excecution, poor coaching, dropped balls etc against the Chargers.

Well it turns out, they were under the curse one gets after playing the Seahawks!

    @ESPNNFL

Every team that has played the @Seahawks this season has lost the following week.

Seahawks started their season playing the Panthers, then the 49ers, and the Jaguars and after that that Texans and finally the Colts.

    Week 2 - PANTHERS 23 Bills 24
    Week 3 - Colts 27 49ERS 7
    Week 4 - Colts 37 JAGUARS 3
    Week 5 - TEXANS 3 49ers 34
    Week 6 - Chargers 19, Colts 9

Bill Simmons and many Seahawks fans are riding the theory that "Everyone who plays the super-physical Seahawks is bruised and battered the following week".

Seahawks played the Titans last week. The Titans will now lose to the 49ers.

So cheer up Colts fans! The curse is now officially off of the Colts and on to the Titans. You can now go back to playing the good football that you were playing before the MNF game. Go beat Papa Johns and his donkeys!

*apologize in advance if this has already been talked about

  6. Just got back from the game & chargers fans are now officially the worst fan base in sports in my book... Seats were empty well into the first quarter, dude in front of me kept throwing beer on a younger kid in a Luck jersey, a friend of mine at the game got elbowed, beer thrown on him, & almost got jumped by 4 charger fans....

Pathetic, stay classy San Diego, sadly beating the Colts will be the highlight of the Chargers season as they will finish third in the AFC West & won't sniff the playoffs...

Expect that sort of non-sense in Oakland, but really worst live sports experience ever...

Please don't generalize a couple of fans into the whole fan base. I'm sure Colts have * fans too. And the Chargers can still "sniff" playoffs by being 3rd in the AFC West, its called "wild card" and there are two teams for wild card. Just gotta beat out Baltimore, Miami, Tenn and Cleveland. That's if KC doesn't burn and crash after teams figure them out.

ZZZZZZZZ... great game ?... good game ? How so ? A good game is when both teams play well and one wins a well deserved close game. I'm sure there is a football fan in the country that thought this was a good game. You team executed a bucnh of 25 play 3 point drives and our team committed a bunch of stupid penalties , dropped a pass on about every drive and then punted a chance to tie a game we should have never been in to begin with. If I were not a monster Colt fan , that game would have had me sound asleep before the 3rd quarter ended. Your team executed great and we were a joke.

I wouldn't say we excecuted great. Both teams made a tons of mistakes, Colts ones were probably more crucial. Chargers left pts on the board by scoring FG after FG in the redzone instead of coming out with TDs.
