  1. I remember when people were all over this guy instead of Bob and claimed his ability to stay healthy as his strongpoint. It's unfortunate that this happened, what is it about SS on the Colts? The more we progress into the season, the more I'm becoming convinced that our first pick (if we can't get Luck) should be a DB.

I'm almost 97% convinced it's going to be Claiborne or one from the Alabama duo.

  2. That's something I was just thinking. If Angerer was able to make a successful transition from the Iowa scheme to ours, perhaps Edds can do the same. Especially with having some familiarity with Pat. Of course, he will have to work his way up, because right now he's as unproven as Hughes.

    Here's hopin'!

Teammate familiarity is always a big bonus when coming to a new system, and hopefully he can make it well.

  3. be interesting to see how he does against the long-arm o-lineman. i like him a lot. the knock on him is short arms and undersize or whatever, i think he is right-sized.

Well he's not small, thats for sure. He's huge!

  5. Mark Barron is one of my absolute favourites as well!

Donta Hightower is another - that Crimson Tide defence is pretty darn good.

Even though I can't imagine Barron being available in the top of the 3rd round. But then again, his co-safety Robert Lester seems be higher valued by most draft scout sites. Wouldn't mind picking Barron in the 2nd though. He catches my eye every time I watch Alabama play.

Did you see him take out Dre Kirkpatrick to break up a pass? Barron is a BEAST

  6. No wonder you don't see the QB go much after Dre Kirkpatrick when watching South Carolina - he's with Alabama.

Depending on where the Colts end up picking in the 2012 draft, I wouldn't mind picking Kirkpatrick in the 1st round. For me, right now, it's between Luck, Kirkpatrick and Matt Kalil. If the Colts don't go CB in the 1st, the likes of Claiborne or Gilmore would be the best possibilities in the 2nd - if they are even available at the top of the 2nd round. Good thing is that there's plenty of talent at the CB-position with Alfonzo Dennard and Jayron Hosley as other prospects.

Mark Barron in the 1st and Claiborne in the second. Some mockdrafts have Barron going in the second too, so maybe we can trade down and stockpile picks.

  7. If peyton is back directing plays from the booth it is just a matter of time for painter to become a starter since he has been peyton's student for yrs and he can understand the playbook much better than other qbs. More practice he can kinda give us a mock colts football which is at least better than the titans football we have see in the three weeks.

Exactly. He may not be Peyton, but he's learned from him for 2 years and knows the offense from all of that clipboard work. He'll get us the closest as possible to what we are used to.
