To be clear….    The suspensions are expected THIS WEEK.   Which means it could be as soon as later today, but most likely tomorrow or Friday.

And while the initial word appears to be optimistic on Rodgers, I wouldn’t get my hopes up too high just yet.   This is NOT official.   His suspension could still be longer than we’re hoping for.   These things are tricky.   As we have discussed, there are compelling reasons why it might be longer than one year.

At least we know that the decision is coming soon….

If he is suspended for a year then does he go for a year without pay (from the NFL?)

You can fabricate the notion of him saying one thing when something else was really happening, if it helps you sustain the narrative you've told yourself.  Nelson's comments. Ballard's comments, and the injury/practice report do not support the idea that Nelson's in-season fall offs were due to injuries during the season. Yet I read comments that's what is was.  Its not my desire to judge others, in fact I hate it, but when comments seem to defy evidence time and time again, there is a natural curiosity as to why they keep getting repeated.

Rookie play does not cause Nelson to get pancaked one on one.  That's another topic.

Why can't you just take Nelson at his word when he says "I need to change my approach"?

I agree about his play, meaning whether it was injury, or him being out of shape, that's a Nelson issue, not a teammate issue.  That being said, here's hoping he returns to All Pro form!   We need him back!!

Barring injury Nelson should return to pro bowl form. With us probably running the ball more he should be able to be a mauler and start stacking pancakes like we are used to seeing.

I don't care about Pro Bowl form.  Gimme All Pro form please!

yeah i hear you. but how does he end up in the NFL with bad work ethic? I mean look at the dude. He doesn't look like someone with bad work ethic. That's all im saying.

WASH has been a % show of a team for years. You can be a very hard worker but not want to go to work if there is something going on in culture or politics wise/

I'm no NFL athlete but I take pride in my work ethic, and I'll say one of the companies I worked for in the past made me not like going to work.

Reading comprehension is a good thing, especially before calling out other posters.  Its something lost with several prominent posters on this forum.

The article said 48.5 at Philly, but then Raimann improved the rest of the year.  I was pointing out that the article was essentially pointless if it did not carve out performances against other playoff teams compared to nonplayoff teams.

You want me to look up what the teams in the "rest of the year" were when the author was too lazy to it before he published an article?  If I got paid like he does, I might do it.

That's fair.  I don't have access to PFF, so I don't know what his numbers were.  So I guess we are both making assumptions.

I'd like to see more details.  70 PFF is good, but 48.5 against a playoff team is not good enough.  Posting PFFs of 70 against playoff defenses is where we want our starting LT to be.

I thought the Giants, Vikings,  and Cowboys were playoff teams.

Kevin Bowen said the days media has watched OTA Dayo looked really good.

I remember it took Grover Stewart about 3 years to find his groove, but I think there are higher expectations for Dayo.  I'm super excited to see how he does this year!

    0. Personal one - hopefully being able to go to my first Colts game in Germany. I've registered for the lottery and waiting for next month to see if I will be able to get a ticket. Fingers crossed :goodluck:

    1. Alec Pierce... I think he's the most obvious candidate for a big jump in production in our offense with the assumption that Richardson will play a lot of games and the offense will take a lot of shots downfield. He's the most natural target on those.

    2. OL play and OL coaching. For a while my assumption has been that Strausser was one of the reasons for this OL's diminished level of play. This year will be a test for my hypothesis. On paper we have a lot of talent. There is no reason an OL with Q, Kelly and Braden should be as bad as it was last year. And hopefully all of them will be healthier than last few years. Lets see if the new OL coach can inspire them to return to their play from a few years ago. Raimann's development will be key in that regard.

    3. Rodgers was going to be one of the most intriguing players to watch for me next year with the opportunity to start. Well, that bet is off... And still... the DB room continues to be one of the most intriguing things about this team since we have close to zero established vets and tons and tons of youth with little to no experience. I think a lot of them will get a chance to play this year. I want to see Brents and Rush and Jones fight it out for the outside corner spots... I want to see how Nick Cross has progressed since last year... Rodney Thomas?

    ---

Out of the question and probably everybody's first choice - AR.

    "...that bet is off."....wow...really? :P

  9. I think playoffs is a bit of a stretch.  Richardson has a lot to prove IMHO.  The comparisons that he is similar to Hurts is wishful thinking.  Hurts won awards in college for passing, and even won a Championship game.  I'm not going to fool myself into thinking we make the playoffs this year.  However, I'd be ecstatic if we did!

Are YOU willing to pay for multiple "media options" in order to access Indianapolis Colts games?

And to the OP, no.  I'm happy to pay for just one way to watch my Colts.  I make it a point to carve out time to be present during those games.
