  1. It would be nice if the helmet audio was live during action.

Peyton: "Get rid of the :censored: ball!".

Half the offenses issues would be solved right there.

After watching game tape of the last 2 games, if Collins does not understand the concept yet he never will........................Look Collins, it really is pretty simple. Hike...throw...No looking at 3rd and 4th options......HIKE AND THROW.......

  2. Sweet story Jeff. I could also play Defensive End.

And Favre, HA! Come on out Favre... our o-line will break your hip, you'll need a month to learn our system, then when you're comfy and we are long out of the playoffs... Peyton will be back.

Favre wouldn't come to our situation if we gave him a golden toilet to sit on.

A golden roundabout and a silver med alert may be enough to intice him though.

  3. All I have to say is........It's about time. I mean before we got Peyton and things started going great for the Colts there was room.

I mean I can clearly remember being able to stretch out my legs, never got an elbow to the chin when ever someone turned around.

I'm just hoping that those guys in the front with the bad gas are the 1st bandwagon fans off.

By the way when the bandwagon empties.......I CALL SHOTGUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Peyton,

I have bleed blue since the mayflower ran aground here in Indiana. Watching you get drafted and grow as a member of my favorite team has been amazing. It has been shear joy watching what I believe to be the G.O.A.T. tear the NFL a new one. Tampa bay on a Monday night.....Patriots AFCC game. All the great memories you have given me as well as Colts nation. For the years you have given us I believe we can afford to give you at least 1 to get right.

However, being a parent of 2 myself I think your neck surgery was a bit premature. That pain in your neck your feeling may be just the beginning of a 18 year pain that revolves from your neck to your backside and back again. lol

Get well soon, we will miss you while your out.

  5. I am fine with Caldwell too...that's why I posted his stats next to the three other coaches because I think fans need to be reminded at times that these "better" coaches numbers don't say they are better.

I'll go out on a limb here and say that if coach A,B or C had Manning at QB they would have more impressive stats. Play the stats anyway you want it. Add Manning to any team and it wins at least 5 more games a year.....FACT....... Now give me a coach that lights a fire under the defense and special teams.....And Manning. I like my chances better then when I have a coach that looks unmotivated and makes bad decisions at bad times.

  6. That is highly debatable.

One could ponder any number of scenarios that may have unfolded if we had thrown caution to the wind in pursuit of a trophy-less accomplishment. Maybe Manning's neck gets tweaked in week 16 and we play this surgery game a year ago? Maybe the Colts suffer team wide injury through those two games and go 1 and done? Maybe we go 19-0?

After sitting starters for two games, we came out and won 2 playoff games. So how can you, or anyone else, pretend to offer that the Super Bowl loss had anything to do with rest/rust?

Had we popped one and done after that, then I would fully entertain your revisionist history lesson. Fact is, we won the AFC championship game after taking a pass on perfection, ultimately reaching the foothills of our goal.

The SB loss itself was teetering on a bizarre on-sides kick and a poor read by Manning, which led to a pick 6 for our opponent.

Let us not pretend that we struggled to reach the promised land, only to barf out a poor showing and get blown out.

I would argue that what was accomplished after the resting of players fully vouches for the decision to do so.

Nobody remembers who lost the superbowl other then the team that won it and the team that lost it. Everyone knows how many teams have went 16-0.

On top of that you have Manning wanting to go for the perfect season. If Polian and Irsay owed it to anyone, they owed it to the man that has carried this team for so long. Many will say that it was not just Manning, it was a team effort. WRONG.........If it was truly a team effort this team would not have been as bad as it was before Manning arrived. 1 man may not make a diffrence, 1 Manning has made all the diffrence.

Manning's 3-13 rookie year we saw flashes, Manning's second year 13-3 we saw a fire. Never before had Colts, nay has the NFL seen a QB that "had it". He knows the defense better then the defense knows itself. Manning takes scrubs and makes them look all world until they sign with a new team. E.G. Green, Marcus Pollard.......Heck he makes Blair White look good.

Polian did not owe us 16-0, nor did he owe it to the NFL. However Polian owed that to Manning and that is the part of the entire debacle that burns me deepest. When you owe a man so much and he wants so little you give it to him with no excuses.

Those of us that know Mannings desire for perfection, those of us that understand because we don't watch him play. We watch his attention to detail, his drive and his want for perfection believe that 14-2 with a superbowl maybe meant a lttle less then 16-0 with a superbowl. I for 1 think had he went to 16-0, his drive and want of perfection may have produced a better outcome. An outcome that I would have loved and Manning deserved to have a shot at.

  7. I for one really don't see a light at the end of the tunnel. I understand the line of thinking "we still have talent on offense". However, I also KNOW that Manning has made guys look great only to see them sign elsewhere and never produce like they have with Manning. I will post something that is sure to draw fire from many of the Colt fans here. Knowing that my screen name is 18288 you know I love Marvin. However let me say this, Marvin for all his grace, speed and soft hands had few games in the playoffs where he was a factor. Marvin could and was shut down almost every time a team focused on him in the playoffs. Elite players rise to the occasion, something Marvin rarely did when Peyton needed him. I believe Marvin benifited from Manning not the other way around.

Wayne with any other QB throwing to him is averge, Joe could not run the ball with Manning sitting in the pocket and teams worrying about him throwing it. Now they know the run is coming. Manning got rid of the ball before the defense could get to him. Collins has a habit of holding the ball to long, couple that with our line and thats a recipe for getting himself creamed.

I love the Colts, have since they moved to Indiana. I'll hope, I'll cheer, I'll believe, and I'll bleed blue. However I know this is going to be a tough year to swallow. Manning is the Colts. The team was built to complement him, it was designed around him and it will fall without him. This will be the year the NFL and all its fans see why Manning is the only 4 time NFL MVP. Not the number of throws he makes, not the yards he throws for, not even the number of td's he throws for. The presence of Manning is what makes the Colts. The ability to will a team to do something that could not be done without him makes him the MVP, after this year everyone will see it for what it is.

  8. We have guys on the current offense who can step up and play one game without #18. I say implement the widcat so Addai can throw half of the throws and let C. Painter hand off to the RB all game and let him throw an occasional 10 yd pass to Tamme or Clark. We need to put this on our defense more! We dont have to worry so much its Houston they are not the Steelers or the Pats!! We as fans need to quit complaining about this for real!

The only 2 problems I see with you game plan is our running game and Painter actually hitting Clark or Tamme for 1 yard let alone 10. Have you watched him? Preseason against scrubs Painter has looked horrid. Real game speed against starters......I hate to picture it, as if we dont have enough trouble running it with everyone and their mother knowing Manning is throwing it. Now picture everyone knowing we are running it because Painter can not throw it. It gets real ugly real fast.

Fact is Painter paints an UGLY painting.......... :tvhammer:
