  1. Ballard should hold the line. Don't give them a low round pick, or over-pay for Sneed
  2. I think he is saying, out of the remaining safeties, the Colts would be best served with Blackmon
  3. Yeah? I'm not really sure how good he actually is? I don't like pff, and I never rely on that, as to who is good and who is not. but I did research the Bucs team before we played them last year, as I usually do for every one of our opponents. As I recall, most of the articles, blogs, etc I read mentioned White as having a nice year. Then when we played them I thought he played well. Had a bunch of tackles against us
  4. I know. The free agent LB they just got is really good too. Our offensive line will have their hands full for sure in the two perennial matchups.
  5. I'm sorry if I came across as nasty. I do get wound up at times, about certain aspects of the Colts play, front office moves, decisions, etc. But I really only wish the best for our team. becoming a bit frustrated with the mediocre status we have held for the past several years and hope for winning football seasons once again, really want this off season to be a catalyst to the improvement. Good day to You!
  6. Another signing by Houston nobody is talking about is defensive tackle Folorunso Fatukasi. He was outstanding last year
  7. I read your posts and "liked" them. You were the one who really got me thinking about drafting a rookie, and Milton fits the bill. Your plan was what I was hoping for, figured having Sam (3 qbs) in the mix as well, in case of injury, could have also factored in. It's the main reason I am disappointed by the Flacco signing. Now if AR goes down, it's live and die with Flacco. There perhaps are some other rookie QBs out there besides Milton. Ill have to do my homework (as I always do) as the draft gets closer.
  8. Some good points. However, thus far, Cross has shown nothing. Seemed he could hardly get on the field. Then near the end of season, he did see time, and his play was nothing to write home about. Could easily be unseated or replaced. Some here are expecting Cross to start? Not ruling that out, as a slim possibility? But if they bring in decent competition, I don't Cross starting. Wouldn't be shocked if both Cross and Thomas end up training camp cuts. I did not think Harrison showed as much as others here do, We still need another NFL caliber LB... and I haven't seen his contract details yet? So I am not assuming he came that cheap?
  9. As for my opinion of the signings so far... Although Pittman's was huge money, I guess we had to pay him, since he is important for the team to succeed going forward. Loved the Tyquan Lewis signing (as I thought he was one of our best players last year). I'm ok with Stewart, Moore and Sanchez as well (three quality players) Like that we got Raekwon Davis, since the Tevan Bryan experiment failed, we needed to find another big body for up front, and by signing Davis we do not have to use draft choices at DT position I can understand why Ballard brought back Genard Avery, since he was signed last year as a pass rusher, and then got injured in training camp, missed whole year on IR. So I see giving him another shot this year. Have to admit, I do not like the Ronnie Harrison (felt we can do better) and Joe Flacco (too old and immobile) signings. Now going forward... I hope we can sign a FA CB, then we wont have to use our draft choices on CB position. We really need to find two safeties, either in FA or draft. I do not believe Thomas or Cross are NFL starting material. WR and Edge Pass Rusher and LB seem to me to be high priority for early round draft. I would cut Mo Ally Cox, and think we are ok at TE (with Granson, Ogletree, Mallory and Woods) but if Bowers should drop to 15? Then they would have to give him consideration. Could use additional depth at RB, OL, and maybe a rookie QB My biggest worry with Ballard, is he does not fill enough of these spots and fails to close the gap within our own division. Right now, I would think most of the "talking heads" media would predict our division as: (1) Houston (2) Jacksonville (3) Indy (4) Tennessee (with some maybe putting Tenn ahead of us) The FO has to find a way for us to win the division, or at least make wild card playoffs, or else I would consider the 2024 season a failure.
  10. I was listening to the latest from Kent Sterling today on youtube. He said, the Colts will definitely be signing a FA safety, but maybe not till later on down the road. He seems to think, the safety position isn't as hard to fill as other positions. And that quality veterans will be available, or come available, over time. Not sure I like that approach? but he does make a point.
  11. I am miserable in life? Seriously? Because I didn't like the signing of 40 year old QBs Joe Flacco and Matt Ryan? Thankfully, I am very happy with life. It seems you are the more miserable person, for taking such offense to my replies (to other folks comments. which were not directed to you in the first place). Regarding backing up my posts with a snapshot, I have to prove nothing to you. I did not "poo poo" every single move. Actually, my opinion, on the signings, is furthest thing from that. I think the Miami DT was a good signing, where as, nearly everyone else here, hated it. and I posted a few times, debating, as to why he was a good acquisition. I'm also hoping for a few more quality signings, of some new players, other than our own, over the rest of free agency.
