I'm so glad that he will officially retire as a Colt. He is one of my all-time favorite Colt players and such a class act. Thanks for all you've done for this franchise, Jeff and I hope there's a place in the front office for you, if that's what you want.

I was at the Manning Bowl on September 19th, 2010 when the Colts whooped the G-Men!!
-
Colts are #1, then I also like the Giants (my wife and her family are all life-long Giants fans, so I'm not as dumb as I look), because of Eli Manning and their rich history. I've always liked the KC Chiefs...great uniforms and love watching games on TV when they are at Arrowhead. I also follow Da Bears...great players through the years.

I saw it suggested that the logo would look better is it were turned a bit.

1. Possibly one - Kruger
2. I missed the performance of the choir, but can only imagine how inspiring that was to watch. I agree with Dustin....not having to listen to Phil Simms was a highlight for me.
-
No, didn't get a chance to watch any of those games, but I rarely watch them anyway.
Neither, I'll be at home in front of my big screen TV I won on MyColts.com a couple of years ago!

1. No, I doubt it
2. No, but read about it and the snap from Saturday to Manning was very cool...wish I had seen that.

So we have one of the weaker schedules?
Yes, only 2 teams with weaker schedules than ours based upon the winning percentages this season.

I thought I could paste it as a table that looked nicer, but couldn't. So, I edited and provided the link.

Just saw this posted on NFL Trade Rumors. Looks good for the Colts!!

Your point 3 is redundant .. These people make millions a year .
I'm talking about fans being able to afford to go to Hawaii, not the players.

Found this....it was NBC Sports Network --
The CFL, as of immediately prior to the 2012 season, had not secured a television partner in the United States. By default, the rights rested with the ESPN Networks, through their part-ownership of TSN, but they did not schedule the league for air on any of its traditional television networks.[35] In late July 2012, NBC Sports Network acquired rights to the CFL for the remainder of the 2012 season. The NBCSN deal included nine regular season games starting August 27 (including both Labour Day Classic games) and all the playoffs

Thank YOU Barry. I was unaware NFL Network showed any. I rarely watch it unless there is a Thursday Night game....or the Combine
I'm pretty sure it's NFL Network...I have all my sports channels saved to a Favorites list, so it may have been NBC Sports Network, but I don't think so. Anyway, the CFL is fun to watch and on occasion I'll recognize a name or two.

The real question is does the assistant of the assistant now get a new assistant?
I'll call my assistant and find out....hang on.

1. He's just not interested in going...Pro Bowl doesn't matter to him.
2. I'd be fine doing away with it and just naming players to something similar to an All-American Team. That way, the players chosen get that honor and don't have to risk injury by playing in a meaningless game.
I think part of the problem is that the Pro Bowl in is Hawaii...who can afford to go there to see a game? The other major sports rotate to the cities with franchises and it becomes an event lasting 2-3 days. So, if you keep the game, then play it in NFL cities and add events for the fans and some skill competitions. I know everyone is excited about Luck making it to the Pro Bowl, but he's only there because a player chosen has decided not to go, which is the case for many other players who are now going under those circumstances. Kinda takes the shine off of it for me.
-
Thanks for the answers, guys. I thought that was the case, but I had no factual basis for it. I'm also surprised there's not more talent found in the CFL. I know it's not the NFL, but guys can go there and develop their skills. Obviously, some have made the jump from the CFL to the NFL, and if an organization has their radar on, they can find the occasional gem as we did in Freeman.
I know the NFL Network shows some CFL game, because I've watched. But, they are not on as much as in the past. You would think the demand for ANY kind of football on TV would prompt one of the 'lesser known' channels to sign a deal to broadcast CFL games.
-
i'm going to ask a dumb question....how can he sign with a team if the FA signing period hasn't started yet? It's not like he was on their roster and just signed an extension. Is it because he hasn't played in the NFL before? I don't keep up with all the rules and news regarding this stuff, but I know there are a lot of you here that do, so I'd appreciate some help on this. Thanks in advance.

Actually, it's a good thing they "know" our draft picks and rookies....means they contributed and didn't just keep the bench warm...that's something to "love"!!!

Jim Trotter of SI.com reports that the Colts have in fact hired former Stanford offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton as a replacement for Bruce Arians.
-
If it's Hamilton, then at least Luck is familiar with him, so that may be an advantage. I'm sure whoever is hired, they will have a system, so to speak, but if they're smart they will build an offense that utilizes the personnel and talent we have.
And, if Hamilton is hired, then we'll be PepStrong, too!!
-
Happy for Arians. We can replace him, so I'm not sad.
49ers - Ravens
Harbaugh Bowl!!
-
I fully trust Irsay, Grigson and Pagano to make the right choice. I'm sure they've been preparing for this and it came as no surprise to them the Arians got a head coaching position. Good luck to B.A. in Arizona.

1. No
2. Not sure, but I can't say it hasn't inspired the team.
