our second group of linemen did a good job getting Ballard holes to have a few good runs
-
Jerry needs to wrap the guy up.
-
I hope to see a few of these guys come in and make the squad.

Question is when can we start signing undrafted players?
-
....and this is over the course of how many years?
This coming season.. thanks for quoting me though. i am not the only person who has said this.
-
Not too sure about the SB... but i can see us winning 6 or 7 games.
-
Only watch the Colts. love what Manning did here. But he is no longer a Colt on the field. Just eagerly waiting for the draft.
-
They will (BETTER lol) draft Luck. Luck has too many of the right tools to pass on him. These "experts" wonder about his arm strength they will see it March 22nd.

Been a fan since 95. one thing about the fan base is we are very loyal to our team and very loyal to our players. this is a very dark day for us. But this decision was coming eventually. i am very excited for what Peyton has done for us and looking forward to having Luck or RG3 to take over. I wish it was under different circumstances, but of all the possible people to take over i assume Luck is the pick... i can't explain how excited i am about that. Change is very difficult to handle for most people and it will be for majority of us on here. i just hope we welcome our pick with open arms like we did with Peyton in 98

I'm still pretty confused as to why the Colts couldn't trade Manning if they do decide to release him? Is it just the massive size of the contract that not many teams could absorb it, or are there some kind of restrictions? I'm talking about simply trading him for either a pick or a player. I'm not familiar with the cap or his contract at all.
Good question but i think it has to be due to the fact we still are obligated to pay the bonus and i think we still get the cap hits until his contract is up. I think we take such a big hit paying so much for someone not on our roster
-
I would have to disagree with that on the simple fact his rookie contract had 50 million worth of guaranteed dollars.
I agree. but i think 31 million was base guarantee.. the other 19 million would be based on if he remained on the Rams and he played enough. if they traded him they would not be obligated to pay the other 19 million.
I am not 100% sure about his whole contract cause it's the Rams. but i remember reading something about it can increase if he does certain things like lead the lead in passing. and playing a certain percentage of his teams plays each year. Not trying to debate i just remember finding it different being such a large contract.
-
Trading Bradford would likely cripple their cap since he's the last Big Money draft pick prior to the rookie scale.
Actually it would save them close to what we would be saving if we cut Manning. here is the article

Whats the difference between official vs unofficial 40 time?
Unofficial is handtimes based on whoever you are depending on to hand time the runner. "official" is a computerized machine which clocks the runners.
-
I would say no. but it may be a situation we have to. Many have touched on the fact we have Wayne and Garcon unsigned.
-
I just hate the fact that no media person is talking about other "options" for this situation such as Peyton Restructuring his contract. Peyton is a class guy and has already taken less to help the team before. but i guess now he would not do it again? Nor do they mention the cap hit. maybe out in Indy they are but it seems all you hear is 28 million. without talking about his actual cap hit. I would take Luck, have him sit. Cause lets be real here... It's no Fact Peyton will play and we may not know til the after the bonuses are given. Tired of all this "one or the other" talk.

I live in California. and i o once a year to a game. i go nuts in the pro shop. and the city is my favorite city.
-
I don't understand the logic in keeping caldwell and his staff around until the end of the year. All we gain by doing that is getting our team accustomed to losing. I think it would be better to get some new coaches in place, and let them use the rest of the year for evaluating personel, and then they'd be armed to make smart people moves over the winter.
I am pretty confident that if we were healthy then yes he would be fired... Last week. and i am not one to think we are tanking... but i truly feel that we are setup to not win much this year. it's not really tanking when you really don't put the talent out there. Our FO knew what they were doing when they brought Collins in the last week of the preseason and let him get the start in week one. Guess they did not expect Miami to do the same thing lol. with that nonsense out of the way. i have always felt Caldwell was a questionable coach since the Superbowl.
-
St. louis won today. That leaves miami as our lone competitor........
Sadly STL was the team we really did not have to worry about. we could of traded with them if in fact they ended up with the #1 and we want Luck. Miami not so much
-
Yes USC is unranked because they can not play in bowl games this season. Luck will come out cause he will graduate academically this year. I don't think we are tanking... but we sure as heck are not doing anything to improve so i am not sure what you want to call that. I feel if we get Luck, Peyton is playing 2 more years with us no matter if he is healthy passed that or not.
-
Coaching staff sucks. if anything we can't head into this offseason without some changes
-
I have been impressed by his play cause from what we had previously seen i did not think the guy was capable of playing in the NFL. Painter has not cost us games in fact he has done the opposite he has kept us in games. we just have been very poor in every phase of the game. Defense has been atrocious. we are not 0-5 because Painter has played poorly.
-
I say if we pick first we take luck without hesitation. My POV having seen Luck several times play in person...I have not seen anyone this good in college footbal since Peyton. it's really not his "numbers" that impressed me although very good! it's his ability to read defenses that impresses me. amazing player SMART player. This is the best time to get that Qb for when Peyton decides to leave the game. .

The fumbled ball was not by Ballard. Commentators need to pay attention
