Great tackle by Vontae
-
Lets go D.
-
We HAVE to capitalize on these penalties.
-
I'm sure Caldwell would've made some good use of those timeouts ....
HAHAHA he would not see any reason to use them! it would not benefit the Vikes to call timeout in that situation
-
Good first half. some changes i would make is it is very obvious Harvin is the main guy gotta figure out a match up to counteract that. we gotta win first down on both sides of the ball. ST needs to tackle.
-
The deep ball Luck threw was tipped.

Here in San Jose. cheering/yelling at my team ready to see a great game.
-
Why can't i get the roster to work in connected careers? It keeps using the default one. WHY??????
Because this update is only for play now games online and offline.

11/15 not bad

That first Justin King PI was a great play by king. Donald dropping those passes HURT especially considering the downs he dropped those passes.. but to say someone is not good. after the first game is not good. Last year i would of relied on him making a basic catch more than i would Garcon.
Our Defense came out gunz blazin. the PI call on king was on a 3rd and 10 and gave Chicago the chance to capitalize. and they did the next play. Their Dline was just better than our Oline. they were able to convert long drives into TDs. Once their Oline was able to settle and get a helmet on a helmet we could not get to Cutler who is more mobile than people give credit.
Seth Olsen... IS BAD
Overall we played like a young team because we are. and our head coach in his first game i think did fine. Combine that with going to soldier field against a very VERY good defense starters hurt and numerous players getting hurt in game. we were gonna have problems. we gotta get healthy.

Yes, Luck underthrew Avery this game, leading to an interception. But just because it happened in this game, doesn't mean that Luck will always underthrow Avery. If you recall, Luck threw a deep strike to Avery the previous game (one of the preseason games) for a 31-yard TD. I'm sure it will be fine, and will get worked out.
He hit Hilton on that play. Luck will get used to needing to put the ball over the wr shoulders. we will see some big plays this season i have no doubt

Duke robinson was supposed to be a stud when he came out in the draft. he is a FA already? i would at least take a look at him and the guy from Pitt

I have been thinking this as well. but its so early still. if he has two ints next week. what will the tone be around here? I think he was brought in to contribute but we shall see there are 11 guys on the field. there are probably two safeties in the league that seem to be everywhere. but he does seem hesitant, he should be the most knowledgeable player in the secondary can only wait to see if there is improvement.

Saw this. this is funny! awesome to see a different side to Clayton.

Good thread. i think Lefeged (sp check) was great on special teams... i think everything goes hand in hand. just have to build off this game and improve. I will rewatch the game tonight and look at AC on the line i did not really pay too much attention to him. Luck did what i expect any QB with no time to throw would do. i also felt the Refs were inconsistent on calls/no calls. the play we were picked in the end zone was PI... the play Davis got called was not. there was a play Hughes was held on from behind when he was about to get the QB no call. but an ok game overall. helps put things in perspective.
-
Avery played very good. was glad to see him take a pretty big pop and get up and back in the huddle. he stretches field and got behind Jennings on both those INTS. the game vs the skins we had T.Y and Donnie line up with Hilton in the slot running an out and up. and 31 yds later touchdown. avery barring Injury will be a nice contributer this season.
-
Freeman is a stud and i seen him making plays and tackles all preseason. and i watch CFL games and seen him dominate that league. i was not too concerned when Pat went down. Freeman will continue to make plays. It allows us to not rush Pat back.

We were getting no pressure on Cutler after their first two drives. You can put an 8th grader behind the Bears line with no pressure and he would complete some passes. We had alot of people playing their "first" out there against an experienced well developed not just defense but team in general. the bears Offense is better than we thought and i think we will see that on Thursday when they play the Pack.
Our Line getting better is probably the most important unit that has to get better. I don't know what we have to do to get it better but we have to FAST.
I think Powers played fine. Davis did as well but when Cutler has time to get his Thriller dance on after the snap we can't expect them to be able to stick their man the whole play. it's impossible. I think early on we tried to capitalize of the bears trying to figure it out having miscues... but our Line could not hold up. Thank goodness they don't hand out trophies after the first week.
-
I never understood why we cut Jennings. he has always had the talent to play in the league. his first INT was absolutely a great play by him. the second was under thrown. mistakes a qb makes when either you don't see the DB or you don't expect him to actually "get up" to be able to make that play. Luck will make his adjustment and start hitting his WRs over the shoulder.
-
We lost because early when momentum was in our hands we could not capitalize and put up more points. once Chicago got settled and started executing their talent really stood out. But we will be fine. people tend to forget we are not only a young team but inexperienced as well. there will be games when it looks like we have it figured out. and some where we look lost.
From some of the comments after the game you'd think we lost the super bowl.
-
i don't remember if it happened before or after Freeneys injury but Powers had an INT pop out his hands in the endzone that would of completely kept the game in our favor. i think the next play Forte broke a long run.
-
Reggie was just being... Reggie. I have never taken him off my top ten WR list. he may not be the flashiest, or the fastest or the loudest. he does his job and still does it at an elite level.
-
Yea well two weeks ago people were talking about he was not that god AT ALL. shame how some people want to write a player off for mistakes EVERY player at some point in their career will make. Fleener did good i liked the little stiff arm he gave the defender before going to the ground.
