Thought this was about Swoope somehow.  I like what that young fella is looking like!

It's crazy how they brought him in a few times for plays drawn up to feature him later on in the season, and on each occasion he hit, big (I wish he played more during the Raiders game).

And, it's crazy how once Allen became healthy after missing a game or however many (I think that's what happened) and he wasn't playing as much and back to the #3 role, we did nothing to try to involve him, and that bugged me.  I don't know what I'm trying to get at because how many teams are going to try to work in their #3 TE.. but man he offered some explosiveness, especially flanked outside. it's things like that and not at least trying to run Gore 25+ times ONCE are what have me hoping for breaking news tomorrow.

sure seems like it...maybe he doesnt complain enough to the refs

In this age of football... with these babies, I'm not mad about him not complaining (not saying you are).  It's just something I love about him, shows his character.

I like Todman.  We should have used him more this season.

Still am grasping for a good reason as to why we have held

on to Josh Ferguson.  I still don't see where his value is.

His case proves to me life is all about opportunity.  Some guys don't get a shot and then some guys like Ferguson are the ones coaches drool over and everyone else is like whaaaaat?!  seen it my whole life and it just cracks me up and can't hate but can't help saying "must be nice!"

The way i see it our only bright spot are our special teams

Except for when they have to down a ball inside the 5....  That's felt like it's turned the tide in every game where they've failed to pin it and let an opponent start at the 25 instead of at the 1-5.  That was what really screwed us last week I feel.  grrrrr

I couldn't understand in this game why Andrew seemed so Hesitant to take off and run? Outside of that one read option run that picked up 30 yards he just stayed in the pocket even when everything w

    as covered up.

I feel like the emphasis on him "being smarter" and protecting himself, and not playing like a linebacker or whatever else the organization has brought up might hamper him.  Oh, and selfish on my part but on the read option I was looking for him to make a move on that defender and take it to the house haha.  For a minute I thought he might go all the way.  But, there's been more than a handful of times this season where he takes off running and looks so timid and like he's questioning if he should pick up another 3-5 yard or slide then and there, all while thinking about how the * above him have been telling him to play smarter.  You don't want to see your QB putting their head down fighting for yardage when "unnecessary"  (but every yard counts right?), but trying to avoid some contact that is inevitable, which it looks like he's tried to do, its sketchy..  As he goes to slide sometimes I've been like ahhhhh and it looks scary, i'd rather him get tackled.  No one is invincible, as we see that with Andrew being such a big and physically imposing man (QB or not, look at him next to most other players) and dealing with his injury issues, but I just don't like it....

I also don't like our Owner who was driving around out of his mind with oxy chopped up on a CD case in his car and the * GM/Coach having an opinion of someone needing to be smarter.

Totally agree with you I think Colts fans have been extremely spoiled over the past decade or so and forget what it's like to have losing season. It's fine to be upset with the team I am too believe me but the ones who say they wont support the team anymore are fair weather fans in my opinion and we don't need them. For anyone who follows hockey I've been a Leafs fan my whole life and lets just say they haven't had too many winning seasons but I continue to follow them and cheer for them because that's what true fans do. Sorry for the rant just sick of reading ridiculous comments on this site.

I'm heated with the team/organization/league... no need to be sorry, I love it.

    They would be wrong then.

Look at the stats. Dorsett has 2 drops for the year. Guessing only 1 was an official drop yesterday. The rest were either tipped/broken up.

Fun fact: For all the hate Dorsett gets about drops, he only has a 3.8% drop rate with 3 games to go. Of rotational players, higher drop rates are Dwayne Allen at 7% and TY at 4.7%. Gore, Moncrief, and Doyle have lower rates than Dorsett.

Another stat: Dorsett has the lowest conversion rate of any player on the team at 50.9%. If they aren't drops, then that tells me he's not being put in the right situations by either Luck or the coaching staff (or both).

dang, seems like he's had more than 2 for the season?...

  8. something that drives me crazy about Dorsett, and a lot of other young players that I see today is, the whining...

ok dude you dropped ANOTHER ball, but don't flail your arms around, punch the ground or just have that look on your face like you're angry and confused.  Act like you've been there before and keep it moving.

I remember when we were in the dome, the people around us were like close friends each game. We high fived, talked to each other, knew the names around us and those people were all cheering for the team win or lose because they gave us a good product mostly each game. When we moved over to the new stadium, the crowd was changed and perhaps some upgraded or moved up idk, but the crowd isn't the same and hasn't been since we came over to Lucas. That has diminished the fun and excitement for us a bit.

I've yet to come to indy, but sitting at home watching every game the last however many years....  Our crowd just seems to boring, and back in the RCA days it seemed to alive.

I'm sure the difference in each stadium has something to do with it, or at least the perception I'm getting, but it doesn't look fun.

I turned 37 yesterday. That's nearly 20 years. The last time the Colts missed the playoffs in 2 consecutive seasons was 1997-1998. Now, barring a miracle, it will be 2015-2016. They missed in 2001 and 2011 too....

While I'm upset about yesterday and the direction of the franchise, it's still pretty amazing what the Colts have done over the past two decades.

But we need to make some big changes and not waste Luck's prime....my Captain Obvious statement

Missing the playoffs sucks. I don't care if we aren't the "complete" team. Look at the 2014 team. Got within a game of the Super Bowl and they were far from perfect.

    Just some random musings....

It gets frustrating no doubt, but i often feel like anyone expecting the success we've had the past couple decades doesn't really know how hard it is to compete and win, at almost anything, and those are the same people expecting way too much.  BUT, this current team definitely makes it harder than it seems like it needs to be haha..

I've witnessed my favorite sports teams win a Super Bowl, a couple Stanley Cups & a hand full of NBA titles, one season pretty much in person... and I don't say that to brag, I'm just lucky to be able to have seen that.  So, I want success with the Colts but in my 29 years alive and 20 years as a fan, I've had more good Sundays than bad, so it's all good.

...& the overall product of the NFL is garbage now, top to bottom, so.. meh

  11. I LOVE Moncriefs game but it seems as the years go on and he gets more attention, he's trying to be too cute.  Not trying to sound high and mighty or judgemental, just looks that way.  I do agree with whoever posted that it's sickening seeing guys dancing and celebrating when we are losing and by a considerable margin, I miss the days and the players who just handled business and acted like they've been there before.  Cliche, but that's always been my type of player.  Like last week Edwin Jackson had a couple nice hits and tackles, but after at least a 5 yard gain, and then jumps up like he made the play of the day.. I understand the emotion and being fired up playing and in first extended NFL action, but still what happened to the guys that just acted like that's their job and what they do.. and celebrate I love to see it but do it when you're making a tackle for loss or sack or stuffing a gain... Just rambling my bad... but it's like... nothing worse than seeing something like a db give up 13 on a 3rd and 10 but he makes a nice hit and gets up like "yeah, take that!" And celebrates... lol that's the NFL in 2016 for us.

& I have questions about if you guys see the same things.  2 things. and I know a few mentioned it yesterday on twitter and the forum, but our receivers running at half speed?... just seems so odd looking and not something I'm used to...and then on certain plays/routes I'll notice TY (usually) will kind of bounce or hop after the snap, taking an extra second to take off upfield and get into his route.  I imagine it's something to clear out before he goes to work, but with pressure and line problems it just seems like it lags, and it's something I feel like I've never seen until the last year or two and I don't get it... anyone else ever notice?
