Then again, I thought the NFC North would be hard this year, and we went 3-1.
They were all tough, hard fought games by both sides in our wins. and considering the talent and age difference, it was a challenge. Glad the young guns and vets stepped up to the plate. 49ers and Hawks....will be close hard fought games. dont give them the edge bc they each got a WR. Wait till we see wat Colts pick up.
Luck > RW & Kap ALL DAY and TWICE ON SUNDAY!

Than I think you will be passing on him then. Since his deal would most likely be somewhere in the 3yr. 25 mil range
exactly. i dont want him....30 and oft injuried. id love see the money go elsewhere.
-
seeing a trend!
-
3yr 17.5mil like waynes.....SURE!!!
otherwise pass....

Who will be the first NEW Colt? (1st announced/signed)
Vote and we will see if the forum can pick the 1st NEW Colt!
-
NO. hes washed up. lets draft a young guy hungry to start.
-
The only change I'd make is a value-priced OLB instead of Avril.
Other than that its a nice job.
Nice call on Hugh Thornton.
It seems like 10 mil is a low ball offer for avril OR kruger....they both want to get paid. I figure you mind as well get the worst of 2 evils. plus OLB is a major need tht freeney is gone and had trouble applying pressure. so when it comes to tht you gotta pay up unfortunately.
I also like Butler from Dallas hes gonna to rather cheap (i could see 6mil or so a year) and is rather undershadowed by ware and spencer
-
Agreed. They are saying hes a 3-4 rounder. but Jenkins is to good to pass imo. but then again S will be a bigger priority than OLB if we get Avril or Kruger
-
Major FA Signings
Vasquez - Cheaper option to Levtire but just as good. He will have a warm welcome by most fans!
Keenan Lewis - A guy ive grown to like the past week or so. the guys a ball hawk even though he didnt have a pick but 23 pass defs. A major upgrade at CB#2. Not as much as DRC, Grimes, or Houston will get. I see value here.
Cliff Avril - From his days 34 OLB at Purdue I think him and Kruger will et similar but Avril being the safier option....both same age if i recall correctly. expect somewhere around 10 a year.
Sebastian Vollmer - Very very good RT. He has had back and knee problems but reports are saying everything is better than ever.
DRAFT
1- Kawann Short DE/DT - With us picking up Lewis and resigning butler, I believe Short holds great value at end of the first. Kawann is a massive dude that has a nack for disrupting RB and QB.(not to meantion blocking punts!!). Hes looked great throughout his whole college career. has good football IQ. Unless someone like Jones, Warmack or Rhodes fell, Short is a outstanding option.
2- None
3- Brandon Jenkins OLB - Quick athletic guy. Turns the corner and knows how to attack the QB well. Even though Mathis Avril will be starters, Jenkins will takeover Hughes spot as the #3 situationl rusher and when Mathis hangs his cleats for good...insert Jenkins.
4- Shamarko Thomas SS - When i look at this kid, my first thought was of the 2007 DPOY, Bob Sanders. He will hit you hard, making sure you know hes prowling back there. Small but sizes isnt everything. He hada 40 something vertical and 4.4 40. both good stats from combine. He will fit nicely besides Bethea
5- None (Possible Compensatory pick) - Montee Ball RB or Stephan Taylor RB but prefer Ball
6- Hugh Thornton OG - Good size and strength. He would be great value at 6th and compete for a spot on the team.
7- Melvin White CB - This guy is wicked tall for CB at 6'3''. A good run stopper and not afraid to take a chance. has good closing speed. hes comparable to Richard Sherman so that cant hurt. if we can snag him here it'd be great value and steal.
-
hes a head case...he divides the locker room
-
We take all the ravens Def guys and broncos take all our Off guys......lol
-
Seahawks are gonna have cap problems soon. the "legion of boom" are all FA next year or year after....the Wilson...and there pro bowl OL....lol. Harvin will only add problems
-
Great VALUE CB. He'd fit nice opposite of Vontae!!!
-
Isn't a 4-3 DE if so why would we do this
he played OLB at purdue. he was drafted as OLB but lions had 4-3 and put him on the end
-
perfect contract for him.
Well put article sir!
-
please no cary williams....hes terrible for the price he wants. he wants #1CB money....hes #3 at best. he got exposed quite a bit.
I just hate cause we have pagno we need every ravens FA we can get. they are one of worst to win SB in recent years
-
The argument on Avril is not....is he better than as a player. The question is : Is he better in a 3-4 defense. I do not want to pay 54 million-60 million on a "can Avril play OLB?" He played at Purdue, but my guess is Pagano thinks Kruger is a fit since he knows him quite well....This from a guy who likes Avrl Not sure, but this Paul Kruger may be < Avril,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Kruger
So pay a guy 10 mil with production for his whole career or pay a player that showed up for playoffs in his contract year.
The most kruger should get paid is 7 mil max. Im not against him but i think he hasnt showen enough to get big contract. Butler is a good value pickup guy.
We all love kruger cause we saw him first hand hit AL every snap...but your forgeting we put a middle school OL verse NFL DL.
-
Vaughan...makes me sad...
-
-
1/2 good season and playoffs and he wants 12mil....browns can have him. Arvril>Butler>Kruger
-
Id take Rhodes over any other CB. Trufant and Banks is a toss up for my 2nd choice. Hoping Rhodes has terrible pro day and "slips" to the Colts as Grigs says
-
Sorry, but my mother looks good in the pre-season and she's been dead over 20 years!
Just sayin.....

He would have made the team if he didnt injury his ankle. Whalen=Collie. Collie would have been something for next 7-10 yrs if he didnt have so many concussions.

WHALEN! kid looked good in preseason

id be open.....for the right price....mario williams money...he can walk.
