And whoever did paint what was painted on Lebron's house in L.A........I won't even say what I would do to that person or persons on this forum openly. Absolutely disgusting to do that to a good man like Lebron James. I think Lebron was shook up today and saddened and I think the team around him is going to rise up and now fight even harder for their leader.

Well if this series get ugly maybe we should have let Boston be in it since at the very least Kelly O would have broken a few arms for fun.

      That would've been entertaining. lmao

The level of arrogance with Golden State makes me fantasize about the possibility of them playing an extremely dirty team, specifically, the 80's Pistons cause I know that team would crack some ribs and hurt them. Curry wouldn't be able to do his Cam Newton style dances around them, he's too fragile, one good hit, they would mess him up.

We managed to almost go to 170 posts here tonight. lmao

It was an interesting birthday. lmao I don't mind though........rooting for the aazz factory has it's ups and downs. But my birthday and yesterday was pretty good.

I'm wide awake actually. i took a nap before the game. Probably going to stay up a few more hours and play a bit of Doom before I lay back down.

At least your birthday was great. I should've did you a bible study last night. I was afraid it would kill positive vibes, but the Cavs did that on their own. TOMORROW I am going to work on Isiah. It's just depressing to read, but after tonight, it's easier to sit through.

It's the truth. I never seen a big guy on the court treated worse then Kevin Love at times. Even guards are allowed to abuse him and yank him around. GUARDS. It's one thing if it was against other big men but the refs let him get mauled by small dudes too who jump on him and grab him.

I don't know even why. I mean if he was huge and black and looked like Draymond the refs would kiss his butt.

White guy bias? Someone alert liberals a white man is being abused.

I agree that Cavs fans have completely unrealistic expectations for what Kevin Love should do. They talk about him dropping 30 points a night, but I don't think he's the player to do that. He does his job well...It's not his fault the other Cavs players can't get it done.

Kevin Love does not get the calls either, I totally agree with you. He didn't even get a foul when Kelly Olynk tore his shoulder on a dirty play a few years ago.

      Quote

I think Lebron wanted Love so badly since Love is a calming influence to have around and Kyrie is kinda childish at times which is a lot like well.......Kobe Bryant. I always thought Phil Jackson kept Kobe at bay.

I read Phil Jackson's book a few years ago and know a bit about him.

Apart from the 2004 team, Jackson was pretty good at keeping his team's egos in check. They were never arrogant. They were never EXTREME with arrogance and smugness like Golden State is and how they brag so much.

The 2004 team is the only exception of arrogance and Jackson kinda lost that team during the season. He had Shaq and Kobe feuding and the all around "super team" arrogance.

Little known fact; Jackson actually wanted to trade Kobe after the 2004 Finals...Oh yes, he sided with Shaq, not Kobe...He wanted to get rid of Kobe and roll with Shaq after everything blew up in the Finals. According to his book, it was because he trusted Shaq. Shaq defended Jackson a lot and often said how he would have sacrificed anything to play under him as a coach. Phil Jackson actually quit the job in L.A. and took a year off and they had to beg him to come back. That 2004 team just about ruined him for good.

For all of Jackson's flaws, he was pretty damn good at keeping the Bulls and Lakers teams with their heads in place and no big inflated egos. His book goes into details of the philosophy and stuff he practiced on them.

Kyrie was the one going off on the earth being flat for F's sake back in March.

Not that Love can't get soft, he can. But sometimes I swear he is misused even by their game plans. Lebron gives him the ball a lot hoping for a miracle 3 and it pains me to see at times.

Thats why in my fantasy Miami team I would put Love on it but I am not sure I want Kyrie even though I like the kid a lot. Sometimes I wish he could be more DAMN CONSISTENT.

Welcome to my frustrations with Kobe Bryant. This is identical to the problems I always had with Kobe. It's almost note for note identical. Everything you say about Kyrie just brings back the memories of Kobe to me. And he can get hot and score constantly like Kobe used to, but they both have almost the exact same weaknesses.

Curry owned Kyrie tonight. Cavs fans I think heavily underestimated Curry. They kept saying how he plays poorly vs them. Well tonight, he flat out owned Kyrie like how Allen Iverson was owning Kobe in the 2001 Finals Game 1; that one game where AI went off and killed them.

      Quote

But i keep saying this but it's true. This Cavs team to win NEEDS both Lebron/Kryie to each score like 30 to 40 points with the bench showing up a bit too. Then they need to pray they can win the rebounding battle if the refs let them.

For those that don't believe the Lakers 3-peat with Shaq and Kobe had a great TEAM, this is literally the expectations for Shaq and Kobe on an average night when they had little to no help from a bench (like in 2004).

The Cavs just aren't that great of a team. They have some lovable guys like TT and Love, but they're not super scorers like Golden State who is such a ridiculously stacked team.

Warriors have two MVPs on their team, arguably the best SG in the league in Klay. Barkley says Klay is the best SG in the league. Draymond is maybe the best defensive PF in the league. And then the rest of them all have their roles and are good shooters.

Barkley isn't wrong...Klay was bailing them out last year.

This is why I hate that team so freaking much...2 MVP's and then 2 great all stars.

Klay is probably the best SG in the league...

Draymond Green in the best defensive player in the league by a mile...

      Curry won 2 MVP's

      Durant is technically an MVP.

I have never seen another team more loaded than this....It's ridiculous.

They won 73 games last year and then went out and signed an MVP.

      Quote

I would even get killed for saying this since I am a Kevin Love apologist, but he is IMO the best one on the team on a consistent basis after Lebron. Since those two technically do their jobs the best on a night to night basis with what their position demands them to do. And both are leaders. Kyrie is the biggest explosive raw talent on the team, but his consistency is bad.........and Kyrie can get owned by a Klay Thompson type which we saw tonight. And Kyrie was not playing great defense tonight at times either. I seen Spurs fans even say that Pops could mold Kyrie into a GREAT point guard to rival the best out there.

Totally agree with this. Kyrie isn't even their 2nd best player. He has Kobe syndrome, he can go hot and cold.

I think everyone forgets the COLD Kobe games. When he would get shut down, oh my god, he had ugly games. Kyrie's ugly games are reminiscent of that.

Spurs fans are probably right, Pops would make something out of Kyrie.

And it's boring just watching Golden State win like this.

That team is ruining basketball. People have been saying this for 2 straight years now.

It's not cause they win. It's cause of HOW they win. They spam 3 pointers constantly....they get all these blow out wins just by spamming 3's. And then when they play the rare teams with big men like LeBron and Leonard, they appear soft and get smashed to pieces. They're a soft team that don't play defense and just jacks 3 pointers constantly.

But then they made it worse by getting Durant. That took OKC out of the equation....They won that off season solely because they knew OKC should've beat them last year had they not blew the 1-3 lead. Getting Durant immediately takes out the team they knew could've beat them.

Just ridiculous looking at such a stacked team and all the BEST TEAM EVAHHHH. Seriously, how is this a good thing? Were the 2007 Patriots a good thing for the NFL? I don't even get how people enjoy this cause it's not much different from the 2007 Pats. Look at the undefeated Dolphins and everybody hates that team. I think in general, fans actually like Dan Marino with the Dolphins more than they did the 1972 undefeated team, cause at least Marino was human and didn't have the godly undefeated tag that the '72 team has.

The NBA has never had parity, I know this, but I don't think there has ever been a team as ridiculously stacked as Golden State. Many argue over those Show Time Laker teams; but there was a lot of competition in that era, and the Lakers used to lose the Finals too. They would lose and come back with the exact same team and try again. They didn't go out and get another star like the Warriors did with Durant.

A Cavs win btw will come soon since the odds will increase for a Warriors win eventually the more they win in a row. I did say if they won game 1 they lose game 2 but we will see.

Since there is no way the Cavs can play this bad again IMO with so little production outside of a few guys in a second game in a row.

If they lose game 2 and the same thing happens, they're screwed. I think if that happens, they go out in 5.

This was unbelievably bad though. It was like a 2014 Miami Heat Finals game. Pull up the stats to that series, and it was all the LeBron and Wade show. They got zero help from any roleplayers, guys with zero points just like tonight.

That's why I'm worried, it looks just like that...and that 2014 Heat team wasn't even that great. The Cavs went 12-1 on their playoff run. That Heat team barely even made the Finals and got taken to 7 games for the 3rd year in a row by the Pacers who yet again, choked in game 7 like they always did against Miami....It was just such a let down to see the Heat so bad in the Finals that year.

That Finals loss to San Antonio is when I finally stopped hating LeBron. It was almost sad to watch cause it was completely noncompetitive. The Heat got stomped, everyone enjoyed it, but I felt bad for him cause he played so hard and lost the way he did.

Kyrie did have 24 points tonight but it was very shaky so I do hate to blame him since only he and Lebron had a bit scoring night to some extent.

But it's not good enough, both Lebron/Kyrie have to be HOT to beat this team at the same time or one has to go nuclear. You need game 4 vs. Boston Kyrie to beat the Warriors.

OMG.......Tristan Thompson had ZERO points tonight.

      Deron Williams, zero points.

      Kyle Korver, zero points.

      Jefferson, 3 points.

JR Smith 3 points, that was the beginning of the damn game!

Kevin Love, 15 points but he was being anally raped the entire game and I feel sorry for him since if I was in the same room as Zaza and Draymond I would call the police.

When you got 2 starters like JR Smith/Thompson combined for 3 points, thats bad.

Nobody on the Cavs bench got hot. Nobody.

It all came down to the Cavs big 3. And Love/Lebron were being ref raped and Kyrie was in la la Kobe land chucking circus shots.

      F my life.

In a way it's amazing they did get beaten worse since the Cavs didn't show up at all tonight.

So in a way if somehow the Cavs bench got hot and Love can score into the 20's and rebound better. And if Kyrie/Lebron go nuclear.......yeah they will win.

And people keep saying this is a "loaded" LeBron team. But omg, look at those numbers....

Meanwhile, the Warriors BENCH outscored the Cavs tonight. Their bench alone was outscoring Cleveland with neither Durant or Curry on the floor. Durant had a big game, but he didn't even have to really do anything. He got it made easy. Same with Curry...Klay is cold right now, but it don't matter, cause that whole team scores.

It's just unfair. The reason the Warriors are such overwhelming favorites is cause they have 4 all stars; 2 of them that are legitimate MVP's....the Cavs have LeBron, the best player in the league but then they have Kyrie and Love who are borderline All-Stars, and that's it.

I am sooooooooooooo sick of hearing the hype for Kyle Korever. LeBron haters acted like he was Reggie Miller in his prime coming there to gun 3 pointers for them. Korver is old and a shell of his former self. ZERO points tonight says it all.

JR is also old, and TT is inconsistent.

They look like the 2014 Heat...old Wade, old Ray Allen, old Chalmers...LeBron all by himself in the Finals, loses in 5 but puts up a hell of a fight with no help.

But all of his haters will do everything to make this Cavs team sound "loaded" Fact is, they're a GOOD team but they're not all that great...I never bought the hype about this being the "best LeBron team ever". Put that roster up against the 2012 Heat and they would get smashed....That Heat team had a really good bench that was much better than what the Cavs have had.

Talking big about Miami was a good luck charm for the Cavs last year....I haven't completely given up but tonight was pretty draining.

I have to say, at least the NFL gives smaller market teams a better chance like you said. The Saints and Colts both got a SB and if we were in the NBA, that would be a long shot against severe odds.

I've thought for years about this with Shaq...Before there was LeBron, there was Shaq and his infamous decision to leave a small market team and go to a major big market. The Orlando Magic did make the Finals with Shaq, but I highly doubt he ever would've won anything had he stayed there...Not the sexy big market like the Lakers.

I kinda don't blame the stars who leave these teams and go to big market ones cause there is no parity in the NBA, and before anyone blames this on the Cavs and Warriors, it has ALWAYS been like this....It's usually always been dominated by a handful of teams. In the 60's it was the Lakers and Celtics. In the 80's it was the Sixers, Celtics and those rare Portland teams...In the 80's, it was all Lakers and Celtics. in the 90's it was the Bulls. In the last decade it was the Lakers and Spurs....

At least in the NFL it's a pick 'em in the NFC and can be unpredictable. Outside of the big teams in the AFC, the NFL has been quite unpredictable with who rises in the NFC.

Kyrie also does the same thing Kobe did with the bad shots. Like you know, the ones Kobe would take when he has 3 defenders in his face, and just bad shots in general. To be fair, in his prime, he was the master at making bad shots work...but you either live or die off this.

Oh my god, if Riley got Anthony Davis, I would seriously run out and buy a Davis Heat jersey. I am not kidding, that kid is AWESOME and he's the most exciting thing we have in the NOLA area as far as basketball goes.

For the record; most people down here do not like the Pelicans (insert Scarface joke here).

Most people I know who follow basketball are LSU fans and they did like the Hornets and kinda like the Pelicans; but they rooted for Shaq in L.A, they rooted for Chris Paul with the Clippers, I am positive they would root for Anthony Davis if he went to any team.

Anthony Davis has serious potential though...He is going to be a major star I think.

Wade is kinda overrated with those LeBron teams....

For everyone who says that was "Wade's team", LeBron was their leading scorer in every Finals, except the Dallas one...Wade really shined on his defense and he don't get much credit for that.

The rematch with the Spurs was ridiculous. Wade looked old and worn slap out in that series.

The Heat did have a top 5 ranked defense this year though without any star player whatsoever. Put LeBron on that team and get him a few other stars and they are a dynasty in the making.

This is one of my two orphan cats...The mother cat died. He survived and the other was a girl. They feed off Minnie, who because she lost her litter, she still was producing milk and she took these two kittens as her own.

He only stayed inside cause he was left in the rain today when Minnie moved the kittens and I guess she forgot about him. She left him on the porch and he was getting soaked, so i brought him in and first gave him a bath in the sink. I could not believe how many fleas he had on him. I had to empty the sink 4 times. After the bath, I let him sleep on the couch around the dogs.

But he couldn't, since he had to give the Cavs a title, he promised.

Cleveland got they title now!! He can go back to South Beach, call Jimmy Butler and Wade and maybe even little IT to go make a new super team. lmao

Seriously speaking, there is Cavs fans on their forums suggesting he might leave for Miami again. lmao In a perfect world, he would've stayed his aazz there and won at least 2 more with Pat Riley as his GM. Didn't take long for Riley rebuild without the big 3, so I am confident with LeBron there, they would've at least got 2 more and been a dynasty.

I will definitely be rooting for the Heat this year.

My biggest regret in sports was being a LeBron hater during that whole Miami Heat run....Looking back at videos and clips, everyone was so blinded by hate of this team and no one wanted to admit how FUN they were. They were like a vintage basketball team. They had the SPEED of those old classic teams everyone loves from the 80's, and LeBron and Wade dunking and passing was awesome.

I just can't root for L.A. if they get Lonzo freaking Ball....ugh....

LeBron should've never left Miami. Here I am still saying this!!!!

He would've got the calls tonight if he was still there. :woah: He might be the best player in the world, but Cleveland isn't a sexy market like Miami or the Bay Area to get that kind of officiating calls. The Heat used to get calls when they needed it...I don't deny it. lmao All the big teams get calls. Boston, L.A., Golden State, Miami...not Cleveland or Orlando, these trash small market teams.

I totally agree with you. Kyrie is like a Kobe clone. He even gets overrated like Kobe used to.

Don't get me wrong, I know very well what a scoring threat Kobe was...but at the same time, look at how much HELP Kobe needed to win those championships...Ball hogs don't win on their own. MJ needed all the help he got from Scottie Pippen, Horace Grant and later Dennis Rodman, and those guys never get the credit they deserve.... Kobe has Shaq to thank for the first half of his career, and then Pau Gasol and that awesome cast for the last 2 rings.

I don't even think Kyrie would be taking the Cavs to the playoffs without LeBron. Both he and Love never have been to the playoffs without LeBron leading them.

Cavs defense ranked 22nd overall this year. For everyone saying how this is supposedly the best LeBron team ever, the stats don't show that...This is actually the WEAKEST team he's brought to the Finals in the last 7 years going by the stats.

Curry is so little and so soft, there is no excuse for him getting rebounds like that. They should've been slinging him around the court and knocking him to the ground like they were doing last year.

Kevin Love though, I mean sure some pick on him but that guy was flat out treated like crap at times tonight. At one point Draymond was even pulling his jersey hard and they were allowed to just take turns raping him under the basket.

Jesus Christ you think Boston is dirty? Boston does a few little things a series but the Warriors do it ALL. THE. TIME.

And they get away with it. Zaza shot free throws for his dirty play....

People talk about bad officiating with teams, but tonight, Golden State was getting 2000's Lakers or 90's Bulls style officiating going their way. it was ridiculous.

Speaking of officiating, I am left wondering, would it be this bad if LeBron was still with the Miami Heat? I don't care what anyone says, LeBron's Cavs teams DON'T get calls...They don't get calls like big market teams do. But his Miami Heat teams often did get calls from time to time. it was the only time in his career he benefited and got calls.

The officiating tonight raised major concerns. They practically handed this game to Golden State in the first half.

Klay played awful but it's kinda hard when they let Durant get all those dunks and go off.

That is why everyone hates Golden State and says they're ruining basketball. Any other team that has a star like Klay who goes cold, they're in trouble. Not Golden State! They have 4 all stars, so it don't matter. 4 of the top 20 players in the league are on that team.

Durant got it EASY. OMG....If the Warriors win this, everyone is going to really hate him, especially OKC fans, cause just wow...he wanted it easy and he got it easy.

I think the Cavs are screwed unless Durant and Curry choke and if everything goes right for the Cavs. EVERYTHING has to go right for them, no margin of error. Tonight, they played so sloppy apart from Kyrie and LeBron and even they had some off moments. Kyrie's iso game can go cold, and LeBron with all the turnovers.

It bothers me too cause the officiating was so bad tonight.

And because they got Durant. I would be OK with a revenge story like how the Pistons beat up on the Lakers after losing a 7 game series, or how the Spurs whipped Miami after losing.

But these guys went and signed a COWARD who wanted it EASY, and by god did he have it easy tonight.

Golden State is ridiculously loaded. They have 4 players in the top 20...For all the whining people do about Cleveland getting Kyle Korver, he's a shell of his former self. The Cavs aren't a "loaded" team. They're a GOOD team. Golden State is a GREAT team. No one debates this, except LeBron haters.

LeBron haters will be in heaven with this.

You know what I don't get?? How is LeBron always called a choke artist when he's rarely ever the favorite???

He was only ever the favorite twice in the Finals. 2011 and 2013. Even that awesome Miami Heat team couldn't even be favorites every year. I think people forget, that there was SERIOUS DOUBTS over the Heat when that team was first formed. Many people didn't believe in them until they finally won it.

Look at the teams he has to face in the Finals. He's had to face the Spurs 3 times, and now Golden State 3 times. Two dynasty level franchises who will go down in history among the best teams ever.

LeBron don't get to beat up on those sh*tty 90's West teams that the Bulls had to face in the Finals...Like that crappy Suns team or Trail Blazers, or the Lakers who were missing Cooper, Kareem, and had an injured (and older) James Worthy....Most people don't even remember the Sonics team that the Bulls thrashed in the Finals cause they were pretty mediocre.

What I don't get when people compare him to MJ and whatever; MJ got his rings playing crap opponents. LeBron goes to the Finals and has to play seriously tough teams. He don't get it easy.

Or comparing him to like Kareem and Magic, omg, what a difference being on a great TEAM makes. No one ever mentions James Worthy, Michael Cooper, or Byron Scott. Big difference makers when 4 of your 5 starting players are Hall of Famers. LeBron has had some GOOD teammates, but rarely any GREAT ones....

I actually understand the psychology behind the LeBron haters that bandwagon Golden State....

After last year, I get it now...

The hate for one player can be incredibly strong in any sport. There are people all across the country who only watched the SB last year in hopes that the Pats would lose. Hate can be very strong.

I'll never understood WHY LeBron gets the hate he gets, other than jealousy. Seriously, would you hate this man if he played for your favorite team? The only people, and I swear by this; the ONLY people of NBA fans who have any true reason to be bitter towards LeBron is Miami Heat fans. They wrapped their arms around him with love and had it ripped away almost as fast as the love began. If they want to be bitter, I don't blame them whatsoever.

Many of the Warriors bandwagon are simply Kobe fans, Jordan fans, LeBron haters, etc...I don't even think they have real fans outside of the Bay Area, cause most of them do nothing but complain about LeBron and it's soooo obvious they haven't been rooting for that team all their lives. You can tell from their rhetoric.

They don't want him to go down as one of the all time greats. That's all it is. To them, they see Golden State as some shining beacon of hope that can slap him down.

Before Golden State it used to be everyone vs the Miami Heat...Remember that Chicago Bulls team with Derrick Rose? They had the bandwagon for a brief period. When the Pacers took them to 7 games, they were hyped up as "LeBron beaters". Then there was OKC who choked in the Finals. Hey, Durant wanted it EASY this year, he got it much easier...And then there was San Antonio in back to back. All of these teams were hyped up as "LeBron beaters".

When Durant signed with Golden State, these people didn't care about the hypocrisy about where LeBron gets blamed for going to Miami but Durant doing it worse. They didn't care about that at all cause they just want to see him lose, so they can remind you for the millionth time why he's not one of the best players ever or whatever. You can already hear it already - "MJ or Kobe wouldn't have lost to this team!". (Kobe DID get his aazz beat by a pretty underrated Pistons team in 2004, and absolutely thrashed by a stacked Boston team, so I have no idea why his name always gets thrown out there, and MJ beat up on crappy teams in the Finals, big deal.)

People literally act like they would rather jump through flaming rings in a circus than just give LeBron the credit he deserves. I have never seen an athlete get so much disrespect and hate than what he gets....

Seriously though; even if LeBron were to still win this year, I guarantee you they would find something to complain about. After last year, if they could find something new to complain about, they definitely will repeat that this year. If coming back from being down 3-1 and winning on the road against all odds against a team that won 73 games isn't enough, then nothing ever will be.

It kinda reminds me of the whole thing people do at Brady now. "Oh he has 5 rings, but Montana went 4 for 4 in the SB and never lost!!!"

Oh sure, there was a few people in the media outside major outlets who gave the Cavs a shot, but still, it was a 93% favorite chance given to Golden State.

The Cavs didn't even have a chance if they lose this, cause Golden State is such a stacked team and then they decided to break the NBA by getting Durant and taking out a contender in OKC who gave them issues last year.

Everyone complains about parity in the NBA, but it's always been like this. Back in the 80's, the Lakers used to ALWAYS be favorites in the West cause outside of those Utah Jazz teams, no one could give them a real run for the money....Every year, it used to be Celtics/Lakers as the favorites.
