Welcome Dallas Clark. And they might as well throw in Bryan Fletcher and Marcus Pollard too.
They're very deep at TE already.
-
Uhhh no I didn't lol. You just got all huffy and assumed I was insulting your team. I am not a "hater", but why let facts get in the way of your ranting about me.
I was saying they covered themselves as in, made sure nothing about Hernandez's situation could negatively affect the team.
I was just busting your chops about how you championed it as, "the Patriot way", when it was what most all teams would have done because it's the smart move.
Hopefully Hernandez has lawyers sharper than yourself, or getting released will be the least of his problems.
Point is what issues do the Patriots have regarding AH?
NONE. It's done as far as the Patriots go. AH used to play for them. The Patriots Way. Baltimore, Oakland, Cincinnati ect. they are not. The next guy will produce and contribute.

Gronk may or may not miss time andif does will be early, not in playoffs when needed
Ex Giant TE Jake Ballard is quite good
Still need 1 more, Clark was most prominent name of list i read ,
Dallas Clark, Travis Beckum, Evan Moore Among Free Agent Tight Ends That Could Interest Patriots
Read more at: http://nesn.com/2013/06/dallas-clark-travis-beckum-evan-moore-among-free-agent-tight-ends-that-could-interest-patriots/
Jake Ballard hurt the Patriots in those SB's.

Who in the heck of any consequence do you think is out there to sign ? Dallas Clark ? Also reading that they are going to eat 10 mill in cap over the next two years. Brutal beat....
I'm pretty sure they'll get cap relief.
-
if there was no advantages from cutting him there would be no point.
You get to rid yourself of a headache, likely recoup some money, and get away from this story if it gets really ugly for Hernandez.
It's a smart move following his arrest. Teams have to cover themselves when players go off the rails.
Your a bit of a hostile fellow aren't you lol.
You're genius. AH's actions had nothing to do with the Patriots like you initially insinuated. Hopefully AH is as good at flipping as you.

I can see a 2009 like 10-6 happening, given that they play the Saints, Falcons, Ravens, Texans and Broncos in their schedule. Division games are never easy pickings.
They play the NFC South with the Bucs, Falcons and Saints for 3 of their first 6 games, those will play a large part in determining what their record will end up as, IMO, whether it will be good for a top 2 seeding, or a 3-4 seeding. I have still no doubt they win their division.
But I'm told the Patriots schedule is easy year after year? That's it's the only reason they win so many games?

Are there any Colts fans here that wouldn't support the Colts 100% given the same situation?
-
Money, distractions, distancing themselves from the potential fallout? If these things didn't matter you would never cut a "bad apple."
Homers are funny.
You make zero sense. He gone. It's just that simple.

Many are saying police have witness or inside source, maybe they made a deal and turned states evidence, this way police go after the high profile one
just speculation , who knows
The first to talk usually gets the best deal. Just like on TV.
-
The "Covering our own butts and protectiing our own best interests way!"
Why do they need to cover anything? The Patriots didn't do anything except immediately cut loose a bad apple.
Haters are funny.

Patriots just released Hernandez!
The Patriot Way. NEXT!

thanks, Black eye, swollen shut ,Interesting
They've been like ghost. I find it strange that there has been no leeks or someone with an axe to grind releasing the names and other info about them. I'm sure they've plenty of enemies and a troubled past.
-
Never seen word one on them save all together that night
They were picked up leaving AH's house after the house cleaning (late Monday afternoon) in another car rented to AH. Questioned and released. One had a big black eye swollen shut. I'm assume they are Connecticut home boys. There has been zero news on them sense that time.

What? We definitely have different comprehension skills.
So for example name me two NFL divisions that have been lights out over the AFC East over the last decades.

What good QB/team isn't trying to get the ball out quickly on most plays?

I always remember this part from "The Education Of A Coach" by David Halberstram. David more or less created the unflattering impression that Bill Parcells was a bully, an intimidator, a NY Giants HC that governed through fear & demeaning tactics. Bill Parcells was verbally abuse toward his players pouring trash on the floor & saying "That's all you are. Garbage!" This is how Bill Parcells treated a lackluster defense in the early 1990's. Hazing & cruel sarcasm is not the right way to lead & inspire men IMO.
I respect Bill Belichick; I do not respect Bill Parcells. I remember when "A Football Life" featured Bill Belichick & he talked about his NY DC days & Bellichick said to Parcells "What do you want me to tweak on defense?" Bill roars back in defiance: Just fix the defense darn it!" Sigh...Bill Parcells is no leader of men at all. He sucks at it actually & without Bellichick's keen defensive mind & Lawrence Taylor Bill Parcells would be no 2 time SB Champion or HOF NFL inductee.
The other that I always remember is that in Dallas, Miami, & with the Jets Bill Parcells relied on GM Ron Wolf, who was instrumental in bringing a SB to Lambeau Field in Green Bay with Brett Favre's 1996 SB, Bill Parcells could not judge athletic talent effectively & he was a horrible HC motivator. Now, if you suck at picking talent or leading men, why are you about to get approved into the NFL HOF in Canton, Ohio?
Great post. Without BP the Pats are a much, much different franchise today. I loved the "Football Life" reference. BB showed respect for the places he'd been, people he'd worked with and the history of the game. It was genuine. He has great respect around the league for good reason.

The Patriots will be a good team this year im sure. Their problem is time. Brady is 36 and looked it against Baltimore. Belichick is 61 and past his coaching prime and creative zenith. Age catches up with everyone and they are no different.
Having said that, they still have a good team, a good staff and will win a weak division and be in the playoffs. What happens after that os anyones guess.
Point taken father time is undefeated. Brady's still having great season's and barring injury should see his hope of playing to 40 at a high level without any problem. What QB does look fresh when things are going bad and the pressure is being applied? I like BB's coaching style and all the chances he takes but that leaves him open to criticism when it doesn't work out. Don't kid yourself BB can change it up and isn't afraid to do so as he's proven over the years. He's still at the very top of the NFL coaching list and that is undisputable. Last years SOS had the Pats at 13th (after the regular season)the Colts were 30th. There's a 100 point difference between 1st and 32nd (.543 - .433) Wins in the NFL are all good. So who had an easy schedule last season?

Love that line to show your point
Thanks bayone. I enjoy many of you posts.

tl;dr
She's not a real thinker but she loves drama and dance.
-
You don't have very good dance moves. The post are there for all to read. When you infer you don't need to say it directly although you come very close. Your hopes for the Patriots could come to fruition this season but I'm fairly certain you wouldn't place a real bet on it.
-
He bought the house from Ty Warren and it was Ty's daughters playhouse. AH might not even have a dog and it's starting to look like he may not get charged with anything.
-
I don't see what is so difficult about understanding that it's harder to replace some players more than others.
I'm saying the Patriots will still be one of the leagues very best teams with or without AH. What's so difficult to understand? It's ludicrous to think the Patriots fortunes rest on AH. This simply isn't the fall from grace that you're wishing for them.
-
Not championships. They haven't been the same since the core of that defense retired.
They haven't won a championship with Hernandez either yet they still win more games than any other team. It was your statement and It made no sense.
-
Depends on the man who goes down. They are still looking for Rodney Harrison's replacement.
Last time I checked they were still winning.
