I think this season is proof we don’t need to blow up this roster, we just need a dynamic guy at QB. I like Matt, but if we could get a franchise QB we could have a serious playoff-contending team
yea i backed off being in favor of firing ballard he drafts well . he made some mistakes but i dont know how much of it was irsay meddling . its rumored ballard wanted fields but irsay and frank forced wentz

Wow that was a fumble.
that is the down side of hiring someone with no experience like last week with jeff saving his timeouts

weird play call on 3 and 4

no we were not. did you watch the NE game? or the Jax game?
there are multiple games where the team Frank coached looked completley outmatched. we have not seen that with Jeff as HC yet
the NE game shouldnt count at all a QB in his second game with no taylor going against a billichick defense that is top 3 and elite . i doubt sam looks better with jeff . the jags game ill give you but its such a small sample size from jeff we could get one of those terrible games against the vikings or cowboys .
to me it always looked like a talent issue the line is just getting beat one on one all year subpar QB play and wrs not getting great separation . i dont think any coach is doing much with this offense .

The problem with Frank was that he lost the team. Pretty simple at that point.
you lose the team more when you hire a guy with no experience to come out from espn . i bet players were mad and checkout even more . nick hinted towards that when talking to the vets after the eagles game . we will see we have nothing left but playoff teams on the schedule besides the last game against houston . it could get ugly

This isn’t a Saturday issue either. It’s all about talent. That’s on Ballard. And I will add it say for forcing a WB change when there was only a downgrade.
i agree with you i am just pointing out it wasnt franks fault . its dumb to argue jeff who has no experience is a better head coach than frank who has one losing season with 5 starting QBs .

All you Reich haters you can see this wasn’t a Reich issue.
reich was 3-2-1 with ryan and taylor both healthy . jeff so far is 1-2 i love jeff as a player but there is a reason guys arent hired off the couch to be a head coach . people have convinced themselves a 40-33 coach with 5 different starting QBs is bad . those same people believe jeff who has proven nothing is better than 20 years experience from frank .

Unpopular but I don't see a dominant QB in this group this year...all have flaws
ill just take the chance over band aid washed up QBs if the QB looks horrible in 2023 guess what we will have another top pick for the really strong 2024 draft . i will take the chance any day over a band aid which we know has zero chance of growth

we are 8th now in the draft moved up a lot . looks like we got our future QB so i am not mad at all . we have a real chance of getting the number two spot only one game out

jeff saturday has horrible clock management

Manning was a high 1st round pick who every knew would be good, even with all the INT's in 98 everyone could see he was going to be special. Sam is a 6th round pick who nobody knows anything about, he looked terrible in his two chances to show something. The list of 6th round QB's to do something in the NFL is miniscule. I mean its tiny. Sam MIGHT be a backup QB in this league. Bad comparison.
its still unrealistic to expect a QB in his first two games to be great .

You don’t know what you have after two games.
arm chair gms know sam is trash after two games . i would hate to see this forum if it existed in 1998 with manning

3rd and 1 lets play the linebackers 5 yards back and spread the defensive line out . great call

yannick has to be the worst pass rusher i ever saw at setting the edge

Roughing the passer needs to be adjusted. Such a subjective and overcalled penalty
that was a dirty play no doubt i would be * if a defender did that to our QB
