Rhodes was super impressive today. I have been high on Okafor if he falls to us, but I think at this point Rhodes is too good to pass up of he falls
-
Remember: The Longhorns tried to draft RGIII as a WR... And they missed out on;
1. Luck
2. Foles
3. RGIII
4. Manziel
5. Stafford
6. Brees
7. Dalton
X. Etc...ALL from TEXAS ALL starters in the NFL except Johnny Football.
Hey brother, I feel you. They definitely are missing out on some good QB's. Can we get rid of Mack Brown already?
Anyway this is a colts forum! I would be stoked as well if got Okafor however I recognized that Rhodes is probably going to be the pick if he's available there. No big deal, whatever's best for the team!

Goodwin runs this super fast 40 and then in the receiver drills, he can't even track the ball and it was literally right to him while he was looking left and then right. It was pretty embarrassing.
Oh thats sad... Don't tell me that

Okafor (NO...) Diggs (NO...) Jeffcoat (Maybe 2-3rd round 2014) And that's from an Austin, Texan. Diggs is horrible... Okafor takes to many plays off, was hurt in or did not play in 3-4 games this year. Marquise Goodman in the 5th...KR/Slot. Great speed...
Aww you can't just leave Byndom out like that! Where do you think he'll go? ;)
Glad to see another Austinite on this board! Gotta represent!

I just want a Texas Longhorn or TCU Horned Frog on this Roster!!! *Slams Hand on Table*
And Redding & Hughes don't count!!!
I feel you TK, I feel the same way. At least theres always Jeffcoat, Diggs, or Byndom next draft if we miss out on Okafor...
And in reference to Dashon Goldson, I guess it depends who you listen to but heres a half decent opinion.

Probably won't happen..... but I'm pulling for
Matt Elam or Kenny Vaccaro with the 24th. But, I doubt it happens
Or Sign Dashon Goldson if/when 49ers let him walk.

Well having follow Longhorn football I knew that Goodwin was fast.. but holy cow.. 4.25? Im not sure but I think thats faster then T.Y. Some scouts had him clocked at 4.19. It's insane. He just didn't get hyped this year because Mack Brown didn't take advantage of him.
-
He's a little slow, but most O-line are. I think his biggest strength is his wingspan and alot of scouts say he has a special 'pop' off the line that really just doesnt translate well in the Bench Press. He will still go in the first round, and if available I would take.
-
As far as I remember he ruptured his right pectoral and had to have surgery. Probably a good thing he stayed in school though. He was being a complete beast in the first 6 games of the season but was being brought down by the mediocrity that was the Texas Defense. Look to him for a great season coming up.

Saw this story on Sports Center earlier. I know his production has been lacking since his mega deal but maybe a change of scenery is what he needed, just like Vontae did. Or is there a possibility of him giving in and restructuring?

#colts HC Chuck Pagano on CB Jerraud Powers: 'He's a heck of a football player and we’d love to re-sign him and have him back.'
Pagano on Powers: 'Keeping my fingers crossed...playing for us. If he’s not, he’s going to be playing for somebody and playing good football
Well I guess I'm just kind of confirming what Coltswarriors just said. Looks like he will be back.
-
What??!! He said early in the year he was coming out? You sure he isn't coming out?
yup, 100% sure. I've been paying attention, I promise! ;)
-
Nice try TK, but Byndom didn't declare for this draft.
-
I think you meant Ogletree Brent, but your right. They are both up to some big character questions.
-
Im curious though, because I've seen a few mock drafts with Okafor falling out of the first round. That really worries me because of course CB is a giant need on this team however I would love to see him on this team. I really hope we could get them both.
-
Hahaha Gavin I'm just as high on Okafor, if not higher because I'm a texas fan but you can't just link the Oregon State game. He was a monster that game. Gotta show the highs and lows
However I do think he can play as an OLB, I'm just not sure about his ability to defend the run. He seemed a little slow at times
-
I think Bethea should stay where he is. As for who I want beside him? I want a player who's at least half way decent in coverage and who's gonna make me shout at my TV and argue a "Hit on a Defenseless Reciever" Call from time to time. I want Dashon Goldson!
Just read that he could be a Free Agent, and I almost giggled. He is a little underweight I suppose but at 6'2 he has the height, and he definitely has that attitude!
-
Caught this article on NFL.com gave some insight to Freeney and Stanton. However I think the bigger story is that Dashon Goldson could be up for grabs. Anyway, it was an interesting read in a day slow on news for me.

Someone on this board has said it before, but I can't for the life of me remember who.
Anyway with the shape the D is in right now, we need immediate upgrades as opposed to potential legends. He's looked good all around but honestly, we can't afford to take that chance with only 5 picks this year.

The Sack Pack refers to the defensive line of the Baltimore Colts during the mid and late 1970s. DEs Fred Cook and John Dutton and DTs Mike Barnes and Joe Ehrmann made up the Sack Pack.
Was just going through the Colts history one day and wanted to be original.. I like it though..

Theres a video highlighting Tackle Eric Fisher really manhandling a DE and man he looked good throwing that DE around. Im pretty sure the name on that DE's jersey was...Okafor.
For what it's worth Okafor was playing at on the right side for those drills, opposite his normal position for the Longhorns. Yes Fisher threw him to the ground when he tried to get the edge but Okafor's strength isn't his speed it's his power and hands. Which was highlighted later that day with a swim move breezing past Fisher.

I wish I was you, I have to go to a bar this weekend...but I've got a friend who's gonna let me watch Sunday Ticket at his house when he gets back.
I love going to bars and wing places to watch sports. Just to talk trash whenever your team is doing good. Its addicting!

So depressed, just saw that I have to watch the stinky Houston Texans play the stinkier Miami Dolphins.

Just a little bit more on the helmet, because you can never be too informed! I honestly am alot more comfortable with him still playing going foward. Looks like a very solid helmet.
Who will be the starting center next yr?

I don't think Satele is terrible. However, I think Shipley was better, especially with Satele's head bob... Wasn't there a thread about his head bob earlier on in the season? hahaha I hope it was a tactic to throw off the D instead of him slipping up.
