Jake Long is HoF LT who is still young. I wouldn't complain with any of them after watching our line the last couple of years .
Definitely not (about our O-Line). I was saying that we could try to get him if we couldn't get Long or if he was too expensive.
-
For next years draft, I wouldn't mind an ILB. Specifically this one! Skip to 1:09
He's an animal
-
Jake Long, easily. He is going to be expensive as though. But worth it.
Yup, but Clady, if not franchised, wouldn't be too much of a downgrade and could be less expensive.
-
Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie could help us a ton at corner.
-
Laron Landry is available at SS next year.
-
I believe next season we will think more about the D, although it's too early to predict lol. I think we will go for DB especially, I don't know who exactly.
I know, but a lot of franchise OT's are FA's next year. We need to invest in Lucks protection.
-
Who would you most want out of these three OT's. Jake Long, Ryan Clady, or Jeff Otah?
-
If saying Luck won't be as good as arguably the greatest QB of all time (the greatest, imo) is underestimating him, then, yes, I am underestimating him.
OK you just owned me I give you credit. But he has the potential to be.

I was watching the game when Andrew caught the "catch" and knew right then if we had to loose Peyton, Andrew would do just fine. It truly was some "catch". Can't wait for the season to start. BTW, watching the news reels of Peyton in Indy yesterday, it really seems OK how everything turned out. Peyton will always be a colt in my heart and to hear him praise Luck did it (my heart) much good.
I turned on my TV just as that play was about to start. I was amazed!

The chances of Luck "surpassing" Manning are about as likely as me getting struck by lightning and winning the lottery on the same day.
Again, I am excited for Luck, but I'm also rational. One NFL team drafting two of the greatest QBs of all time back to back (with the latter being better than the former) is practically a statistical impossibility. I think Luck will someday be an elite QB in the NFL, but you're comparing him to Peyton Manning, not Ben Roethlisberger.
Kind of pointless to argue with the Luck fan boys (and girls), huh? I sure as heck hope Luck is every bit as good as you guys say, because Colts fans will be a very lucky fortunate bunch.
I know what you are saying, but I think that you are underestimating Luck a little. It is not as impossible as you winning the lottery and getting struck by lightning on the same day. He is the most heralded QB to come out in 30 years. He has the potential to be as good or better than Peyton. But I guess we will just have to wait and see.

I can see Mike Wallace wearing a Colts uniform. He is the prototypical Bruce Arian's receiver and he would probably love to pair up with him and Andrew Luck. Plus I see him as one of the only players on that list who will not get a long term deal this season or franchised next season. I'd find it difficult to imagine the Jets not franchising Revis or the Broncos not franchising Clady. The Steelers simply don't have the cap room for Wallace.
I would love to see us get Wallace, with him knowing Arians system. I think that if we get a top LT, that we could eventually have one of the best O-Lines in the league with a to LT, Costonzo at RT, and Ija at RG. We would need a center and guard, unless someone pans out. I think that if we get a franchise LT, Wallace, Campbell, a Corner in FA, and then have the draft. We could be set for years with all the young talent.

I mean big OL, but just for next year.
-
Here I fixed that for you
Desean Jackson's Talent - Desean Jackson's everything else = T.Y. Hilton
-
We obviously will have to look at OLB because wether Freeney plays well or not he isn't signed past next year and if we do resign him we have to look toward the future because he is getting up there in age. Between him and Mathis we will need help in that position.
To me my priorities (without watching this year) would be LT (premiere), WR(franchise #1), OLB (pass rusher), and CB (a great man corner to move Powers to the #2). Clearly it could change later but just looking at the team as it is that would be my priority. Clearly resigning a couple players like Collie and Powers and such but those positions would get my attention to upgrade with the best available players either in FA or whomever we are likely to get in the draft. We should have close to 50 million in cap space so that leaves roughly after draft picks of 40 million to resign and get 4 or 5 difference makers.
I just can't wait for next years season, free agency, and draft!!!!
-
Andrew Luck: Peyton Manning / Aaron Rodgers hybrid hopefully
Coby Fleener: Jimmy Graham
Dwayne Allen: Chris Cooley in his prime
T.Y. Hilton: Steve Smith / Desean Jackson
at least that's what I hope.
T.Y. Hilton isn't like Steve Smith, Smith is to strong. Desean Jackson/Percy Harvin is more like Hilton.
-
If we address OT, WR, and DE in free agency who should we pick if we could pick anyone in the Draft?(The players I had in mind were Clady, Mike Wallace, and Calais Campbell)
-
We could use a first round draft pick on some of these needs.
-
Any comparisons you've seen or would like to make?
List of ones I have seen:
Andrew Luck: Eli Manning, Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers
Coby Fleener: Greg Olsen, Rob Gronkowski
Dwayne Allen: Brandon Pettigrew, Chris Cooley, Jason Witten, Heath Miller
T.Y. Hilton: DeSean Jackson, Percy Harvin, Davone Bess
Josh Chapman: Ahtyba Rubin, Jurrell Casey
Vick Ballard: Chauncey Washington
Chandler Harnish: Dan LeFevour, Tim Tebow
Should be interesting to compare their careers to how people see them in terms of current NFL players.

Fleener is like a tall Aaron Hernandez. Or maybe a fast Gronk...
Fleener is like Jimmy Graham and Allen is like Antonio Gates. I've heard that Chapman is like Casey Hampton.

I did read somewhere that Jake Long was wanting out of Miami
If we can't get Long plenty of other OT are available such as Jeff Otah, Ryan Clady, Jermon Bushrod, and Sebastian Vollmer.

Skip Bayless is a legend as a journalist, columnist, and now as a ESPN analyst and he lets players come in if they got a problem with what he said. he paid his dues for 30+ years
He's too arrogant in his opinions. He always and I mean ALWAYS thinks he KNOWS that what he's saying is correct. He just gets on my nerves the way he attacks athletes!

Dominique Rodgers Cromartie is another possible corner. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/philadelphia-eagles/dominique-rodgers-cromartie/
-
Realistically we may be able to add (if we have enough cap space) Justin Durant, Ryan Clady, Jason Mccourty, and Calais Campbell.
Here is their profiles with how much money they have made over the past few years. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/tennessee-titans/jason-mccourty/ http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/denver-broncos/ryan-clady/ http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/detroit-lions/justin-durant/ http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/arizona-cardinals/calais-campbell/
They each fill a need and we could adress the rest in the draft.

What is our cap space for next year currently?

If we address OLB, CB, OT, and WR in FA. what position should we pick up in the draft?
