All will be fine. If losing one guy for the first quarter of the season (other than a guy named Andrew Luck) is going to do us in, we aren't that good in the first instance. Next man up and let's win some football games.

Would love to hear opinions on the play of Okine, Bates, Morrison, Ridgeway. Any thoughts on these young guys?

The way I view it, the season starts tomorrow. Been a longer than normal off season and I am ready for some football. Players show up tomorrow and play ball time on Wednesday.

In my humble opinion, we are going to be far better than last year. Not sure which starters we lost that you are referring to, but I love our additions, both players and coaches. High expectations for a great season.

Drove from Jersey with family for Colts/Chiefs playoff game January 2015. Rough first half. The second half, Lucas Oil was insane. Will never forget that experience. The drive home was sweet.

Way too quiet. Thought I would revive this topic with prediction that Ryan Kelly is all pro center in his rookie year. And I believe this will happen.

Don't forget about the offseason coaching changes, which I am hopeful could have the greatest positive impact on the team. Philbin coaching up oline, and Monachino and his attacking, aggressive style defense and a full year of Chudzinski.

My guess is that they drafted him because they see a player that can fit within our defensive scheme and be productive for the team.

Putting together an elite oline. I like it. Got to dominate in the trenches.

My idealistic hopes about oline:
1. Change of blocking scheme bodes well for some of our current talent turning one or more of our under performers into highly productive.
2. Joe Philbin brought in to, and does, coach up our oline causing significant improvement in all respects.
3. Draft at least 1 day one starter.

Not sure what it is though. But they have to, right? That is there job. That is the reason Jim retained Pags and Grigs - to put the best football team on the field and win championships.
It it is fun to speculate about signing high profile free agents. However we all know, and history is replete with examples, of teams that spend a lot (and over pay) in free agency but don't win. Plucking a few value free agents to fill roles and drafting well every year seems to be the blue print for success.
I therefore will try to have some faith that they have a plan. It may be that the plan will take another few years to come to fruition (due to recovering from past mistakes). But what else is a fan suppose to do but have faith? Not jumping ship so might as well.

Pagano handled himself and the team really well all season, under some difficult circumstances. I have great respect for him.

Greg Toler is awful. He got picked on all night and couldn't make a play. If he is above average, the quality of corners in the NFL is pathetic.

I live in north Jersey and the game won't be available except with game pass. I am considering driving south to a sports bar in the Philadelphia broadcast area that picks up NBC10. Buffalo Wild Wings in North Brunswick told me they get that station and will be showing the game. I don't trust that I have been given correct info. Any central/south Jersey fans have any thoughts? Does North Brunswick get local Philadelphia stations and do you have other recs to watch the game (short of going into Philadelphia)? Appreciate any thoughts.
