When you have a team that is built around one player and that player is no longer in the picture, then your team is in trouble. You can point the finger at whoever you want to - coaches, owners, players - but the simple fact is that this team just doesn't work unless Manning is in there calling the shots. I don't think that the team's lack of success this year is anyone's fault, it is just bad luck that Peyton has been unable to play. It is going to take this team some time to get used to not having him out on the field.

Again, this is a team that had been built around one man. As long as that one man is good to go, then everything is fine. I sincerely hope that Manning will be able to return either later this year or next year. I think once he comes back we will see instant positive results, but if (God forbid) this turns out to be a career ending injury, the Colts will have to find a way to start fresh and learn to win without him. Right now he is the most imprtant piece of the puzzle, and if he's not there things just aren't going to work. We will either get him back and everything will improve, or we will have to find a way to move on and be competitve without number 18.

So, to answer the questions about Mr. Irsay, no, I do not think that he is to blame. I do wish, however, that he would give his Twitter posts a rest. I appreciate the fact that he is interacting with the fans, but it kind of adds insult to injury when I visit colts.com after another loss only to see Mr. Irsay has posted some kind of upbeat song lyrics via Twitter. That is a little annoying, but otherwise I have no gripe with him.

I agree about the tweets. this team is in real trouble and it is time for the owner to act like an owner not a hs kid with a toy.

If Peyton is healthy, why would you want to trade the one guy that got us into the playoffs all those years?

Drafting Luck and having him sit on the bench isn't going to make the rest of the team any better. I would rather take our chances with Peyton not getting hurt again and pick up a free agent qb early to learn our system in plenty of time.

Hopefully Peyton is back and healthy next year. If we take Luck it won't help our team until Peyton retires or is injured again. If Peyton isn't ready to play next year I think it is a no brainer.
