  1. Josh Norris from NFL.com created a seven-round mock draft of all 254 picks. Below is the Colts' predicted picks for all seven rounds. I'm not familiar with all of these players, but how would you grade this draft if this is in fact how it played out?

    24. Indianapolis Colts: Datone Jones, DE, UCLA. Few were more impressive than Jones during Senior Bowl week, and the versatile defensive lineman was impressive in college, as well. His ability to win inside and out will be coveted.

    86. Colts: Corey Lemonier, OLB, Auburn.

    121. Colts: Mike Gillislee, RB, Florida.

    192. Colts: Jeff Baca, OG, UCLA.

    230. Colts: Micah Hyde, CB, Iowa.

    254. Colts: Rex Burkhead, RB, Nebraska.

  2. 2013 Pre-season:

    Bills

    Giants

    Browns

    Bengals

    2013 Regular Season:

    Broncos

    Raiders

    Chargers   (Away Game)

    Chiefs        (Away Game)

    Seahawks

    Rams

    49ers         (Away Game)

    Cardinals   (Away Game)

    Bengals     (Away Game)

    Dolphins

    Texans x2

    Jags x2

    Titans x2

We won't know the order of the schedule until 4/16 as someone already mentioned.

I do find it odd we will be playing the Bengals in Preseason as well as the regular season.

  3. DHB: “My confidence will carry me through the spring training, training camp and I’m looking forward to the season. I know that we’ve got one goal and that’s to win a Super Bowl and that’s all I need.”

At least his priorities seem to be in order.

  4. He was the worst OLBer in football 2 years in a row. Saying he will be mediocre is "poo-poo"-ing him?

Really? He was the worst? His stats actually look better than Freeney's from last year.

  5. I don't know that the Colts will finish 6-10 but I do not expect them to win 11 games again. They are going to come back down to earth and I think something like 8-8 is closer to being right....

It will be tough to match our 11-5 record from last year, but our schedule also looks quite a bit easier on paper this year

  6. Not letting Jay Cutler get too comfortable in the pocket will be key. We need to force him to run around which will inevitably cause him to make mistakes.

We also need to establish some kind of run game. We cant let them sit back in coverage and play only seven in the box the whole game.

    :2c:

  7. I have also seen them use three men in the back field behind Luck this pre-season, almost like a wish-bone formation. Not sure if it will be utilized much in the regular season, but with Allen and Brown's ability to catch the ball in the flat, it seemed to be an effective way to catch the defense off guard. The deffense assumes it will be a run play, but they showed that they could effectively run and pass out of that formation.

It would be interesting to see them line up Ballard, Brown, and Allen all in the backfield at the same time.

  8. After watching Vick Ballard in TC and pre-season, it is apparent that he is a stronger and a more physical back running between the tackles than Donald Brown. I wouldn't be surprised if Ballard eventually becomes the starting RB. Then we can spell him with Donald Brown later in the game with his speed and open field running once the defense has softened up.

Im afraid Donald Brown may not be physical or punishing enough as a runner to start games, but he CAN be very effective as a third down or second half type running back.

Maybe I'm overly impressed with the way Ballard runs the ball, but I see glimpses of pre-injury Edgerrin James when I watch him run. I'm looking forward to watching him progress in this new Colts offense.

  9. But does he look any better than Griffin did yesterday? RG3 set the pro-day bar kinda high. Not that it matters as I think Colts have already made their decision.

I wouldnt say he looks better, but its hard to compare since Luck is throwing into the wind on a chilly, windy day and RGIII threw indoors.

  10. His footwork is tremedous. Also, his ability to dodge the guy with the broom and get back into throwing motion with such quickness is remarkable.

Threw one ball to the left while running left and it was spot on. Very impressive pro day for Luck so far.

There have been two drops, but every pass has basically been a completion.
