Geez that Caldwell sure is awful. I mean c'mon the guy is just a "deer in headlights" play calling machine.
People have a bad taste in there mouth about Caldwell for a long time because he wasn't entertaining enough for them.. still to this day it makes me laugh. I didn't know a coaches job was to entertain the crowd. He was a good coach his entire time here..he made history his first time out as HC and got cut because he took the blame for sorry QB's.. Poor GM and beat up team. Plain and simple.
The Ravens had enough common sense to see what a talent he was.. and now he has 2 rings to wear.
GOOD JOB JIM!!!!....
Yeah.. he is teeerrribbble..... lol
-
Congratulations to the Ravens... I love when I can see deserving players and coaches get a ring.
-
The short passes will help build his accuracy and hopefully bring down his interceptions.

Jim Caldwell: (Ravens OC) Former Colts QC - HC 2002 - 2011

Jeff: Yes
Pro Bowl: Pointless

I hope he walks away from his last game with another ring.. he deserves it.

Felt good to see the pats lose... be even better to see Ray Lewis holding up the Lombardi trophy!!..
-
He has the worst pass protection of any QB in the NFL. Good lord the EAGLES look like world beaters by comparison.
The Colts went 11-5, but let's put the record aside. Luck somehow SURVIVED behind this line. That's something I'm confident most QB's in this league could not hope to do.
I'll give him a pass for most of his INT's/incompletions this season. When you needed a game winning drive, he stood tall knowing full well he'd get killed and delivered the ball down the field.
So.. Basically your saying Luck bears no fault at all?
-
Fail. The anwer to Luck's 'inaccuracies' are both contained in your post....
He has had both of those this year work in his favor in some games and still has been inaccurate.. who's fault is that??..
-
?
Solving the first two things you listed (especially the second one) would fix the third by default.
Luck is strong and is fast for a QB.. but he has thrown many passes that where way off target this year..(Interceptions).. even when he has had time to throw. I know it's blasphemy to speak that way of Luck in here to most.. but it's the truth.
-
Bad WR and O-line play.. and Luck's accuracy needs improvement.
-
I agree.. the Colts did better this season than I expected. Hate that we loss.. but I'm happy to see Ray Lewis go out the way he did.
-
Who won the game??.. Oh that's right.
-
Some of his picks - like both of today's - have been dreadful. Inexcusable. He needs to get better on the road.
Agreed.. I have been saying this for weeks now.
-
We gashed them consistently in the 1st quarter when we stuck with the run. The run blocking hasn't been as much of an issue for several weeks now. Pass blocking is another story
(The first run plays worked because the Pats where looking for the pass and got caught slipping. After that.. it was lights out like usual)
They're still rushing the passer with a hand in the dirt like 90% of the time. The new scheme and their respective role changes in said scheme are being way overstated.
(Everyone will have an opinion on either the drop back in pass sometimes Vs bringing it to the tackles every snap.. there by wearing them down and getting more sacks works or not. I prefer the old way.. it had better results IMO..)
-
The O-line produces way too many behind the line of scrimmage yard losses by not picking up their blocking assignments and opening holes.
Freeny and Mathis have always made more plays when all their focus is on getting to the Qb.. and not playing this new hybrid LB combination. I also believe this is why the have been injured more than usual.
-
Lucks needs to feel the weight of games like this to be molded into a great Qb. I know injury is always a concern.
But....
If Luck is to be a good General some day.. he needs all the wars he can take.
-
My concerns are pretty much the same as they have been.
Luck needs to stop forcing the ball into tight coverage and throwing picks.
The new defense scheme has and will continue to kill Freeny & Mathis sack abilities.
The O-line is still killing any type of good ground game.
Special teams needs help.
-
From training camp... to now. I never did the Peyton Vs Luck or any other Qb for that matter. I just sat back and watched.
At the end of the day.. Luck is still just a rookie.
When Luck's IQ and decision making at Qb gets better over the years... he will be fine.
-
If Luck doesn't throw any interceptions and we have a decent run game.. I think we could pull off a win.
-
As long as Luck stops throwing the ball to the other team and works on his deep passes i'm happy... TD pass or not.
Look at all the possible picks he threw Sunday.

Pagano, You are a strong leader and true warrior. God still has many more plans for you on this earth. You have far too many family and friends who need and love you.. cancer has no ideal who's body he decided to mess with.

I have lived in Indianapolis my whole life and nothing this team does surprises me anymore.
The oh sh%t.. I can't believe they cut him reaction passed years ago.
The NFL is a business.. nothing more.
