Couldn't have said it any better. RG3 almost won this game by himself. He had no help from his defense and special teams had another blocked punt which led to points. As far as the guy who said RG3 doesnt have the clutch gene. WOW THAT WAS A DUMB STATEMENT he was clutch enough to get us in fg range but a dumb dumb let Finnegan get in his head. And BTW it would have been 4th and inches I wouldnt have been surprised if they went for it and went for the win. Look at the above stats RG3 has been phenominal I don't get why most of you Colts fans seem to want him to fail or why Luck has to be better. Can't they both be great it doesnt always have to be a Peyton Manning Ryan Leaf situation.What an asinine statement to make two games into these guys' careers. Griffin was carrying the entire team on his back the whole game and did almost everything he possibly could have to tie it up at the end. Really, his last drive was very similar to Luck's. The difference was that the Redskins weren't in position to win with the field goal because of atrocious defensive playcalling and another special teams gaffe. Stupid penalties and poor play by his teammates killed the last two drives and poor refereeing was a constant throughout the game. Not a lot Griffin could do about it.
Of course, you may prove to be right over the course of time but if we're making snap judgements about these two games, I might be a bit worried about how much more efficient the less pro ready of the two QBs has been out of the gate...
Griffin III: 526 yards, 4 TDs, 1 INT, 39/55 (71%), 9.5 ypa - 20 carries, 124 yards, 2 TDs, 0 fumbles
Luck: 533 yards, 3 TDs, 3 INTs, 43/76 (57%), 7.0 ypa - 6 carries, 30 yards, 1 fumble
The completion percentage doesn't lie, Griffin's accuracy has been something else and he was on point with the deep ball tonight. Unfortunately, the receivers were not so on point - a perfect 50 yard strike to a wide open Aldrick Robinson in the 4th quarter was lost in the lights and bounced off his chest. That would have been a definite gamechanger. Needless to say, it was an unbelievably frustrating game.

No it's not ouch at all. The headline is all wrong when you read his quote. He says he freezes a defense like Tebow he's never seen a qb be able to freeze a defense not knowing if they are gonna run or throw. Yes he says he can throw better than Tebow but that was obvious. Also did you read the quote in the article where it says that last week he was the best player in all of football. RG3 and Luck are gonna be great but i think RG3 is gonna be revolutionary to the QB position. I think you guys made the safe pick over the higher ceiling pick. I know its one game but he showed poise like a 10 year vet it was impressive. And I hate how everyone after the skins win says the Saints defense sucks but before the game the skins had no chance and the Saints defense was gonna confuse the rookie. Did you see the play where he avoided the sack threw across the field to fred Davis thats a special throw that only special QB's can make. Give the kid credit. I know in alot of Colts fans minds Luck has to out shine Griffin. Why can't Luck just be Luck. I agree but the scout throwing him under the bus character wise is insane to me everything everyone has been saying even Irsay that both players are franchise guys that have class written all over them. It sounds more like sour grapes than scouting. Lets say the same article came out about Luck Id be saying the same thing. Im not saying this because Im a redskins fan. I also got to meet RG3 a few weeks ago and he seemed very humble and thanked me for coming and was down to earth and even talked to me and my dad for a few minutes. You cant confuse arrogance for confidence. Look at Michael Jordan and Tom Brady they have that swag about them like RG3 heck even Peyton Manning walked up to Irsay and said If you don't pick me I'll kick youre butt for the next 10 years.Even if it is the colts they can point to rg3 not wanting to work out for them to help back that claim up compared to luck who seemingly did anything and everything that was asked of him not only by the colts but by other teams as well. It doesn't mean rg3 will be bad, not that you were saying that, but if trying to pick between guys like luck and rg3 that stuff can be tbe difference.

No great surprise, it's what most expected, but Colts have told Andrew Luck they will take him with the No. 1 overall pick, per NFL source.
I know it wasnt a surprise but congrats Colts fans. You guys can order your Luck jerseys and I can order my RG3 jersey.

Not a Colts fan but if this statement is true that some colts fans are hoping for him to fail then their not really Colts fans. Offcourse right now it sounds dumb to say Luck will be better than Peyton but this time last year if you told me Peyton would never throw a pass a Colt again I would try and have you put in an insane asylum. Bottom line as fans we fall in love with players but we root team first if Luck ends up better that will not ruin Peytons legacy is will just make the Colts organization ONE LUCK-Y franchise. As a Redskins fan I think I know a little bit of not having a great QB in a long time so you guys having Manning and right after getting Andrew Luck to me theres nothing more you can ask for as a football fan.Just a hunch, but I sense there are some here on this forum who actually kind of hope Luck never reaches the top of the mountain as a QB.
Because if he did, then he has a chance to be better then Manning and it might ruin a lot for some.......

May I ask what kind of competancy Irsay has shown? You guys had the number 1 pick in 1998 hit a homerun on Manning, before Manning you were beyond the laughing stock of the league. Maybe RG3 will make Snyder look like a good owner like Peyton made Irsay look. This past season showed the world how good Peyton was for all these years in reality you guys were a 4-5 win team and Peyton made that team a 10+ win team.Well this makes it easier. But seriously, I don't understand why anyone would want to play for the Redskins. They haven't been worth a crap since the 80s. That team is badly mismanaged. Even though the Colts probably aren't going to be very good next year, Irsay has some degrees of competancy, alot more than the Redskins ownership/upper management.

Well it looks like the NFL scheduled the Redskins Colts preseason game for the 3rd week of the preseason which is the rehearsal game where the starters play the longest. Luck Vs. RG3 should make the preseason fun.

I think your 100% wrong here. I met the guy at the Chantilly show and he was the most humble athlete I have ever met fame is not getting in his head at all. The whole thing about him turning you guys down has been completely fabricated. Irsay made it seem like he asked yesterday and was given a "NO" for an answer. When infact before his proday he told every team he was not doing private workouts at anytime. He wanted as many scouts at the proday as possible and he is keeping his word. I think this whole thing is Irsay getting over on you Colts fans he now has a built in excuse if Luck bombs and is a bust. If hes a bust Irsay can tell you guys hey we had to draft Luck because RG3 didnt want to play here. He is dooping you guys. RG3 is known for his good character it's always yes sir no sir he graduated from highschool and college early and with honors. And to insinuate he is like Ryan Leaf is insane. Ryan Leaf was an immature headcase there is no comparison that statement was actually pretty ignorant.Once I saw RG3 signing Redskin helmets I knew it was a done deal. He's starting to rub me off as a Ryan Leafy type player. I'm saying that to say it seems like the fame is getting to him.

Thats not true at all. know a media member that covers the skins and was with snyder and Allen at RG3's proday. He was told the Colts told the Redskins they will get they're man in RG3. I really think it's Irsay covering his butt with the fan base. And why is Irsay tweeting that kind of business shouldnt that be kept private? Like I said he leaked it for a reason.The fact they asked shows it's not a foregone conclusion...

Would you if you knew for a fact that the team already made up they're mind? It's a waste of time in my opinion if he knows they are taking Luck.I'd work out for any team that had the No.1 overall pick in the draft..as many times as they asked..

I think your exactly right it's one of the two. He knows either the Colts already made there decision with Luck or it's Irsay saying this so if Luck busts (dont think it's gonna happen) or RG3 ends up being the better player he has a built in excuse. "well we drafted Luck because he Rg3 didn't want to be here"Possibility 1: Assume his agent believes 100% we're not going to pick him. By showing no interest in the Colts, RGIII has 'control' of the situation by effectively telling the Colts that he doesn't to be drafted by them and wants to be a Redskin, even though that is exactly what will happen anyway.
Possibility 2: Irsay wants to take Luck and wants to save face if it's the wrong choice.
Possibility 3: Both parties can 'win' if they work together to do both 1 and 2.

I went to that card show on saturday I posted about earlier and met RG3. My dad asked him if he knew he was going to be a Redskin ofcourse he gave the political answer and said no but he smiled and gave us a wink. Also a guy in front of me had a colts helmet to get signed his agent said he would not be signing any memorabilia other than Baylor and Redskins items. I know alot of people don't want the Colts to draft him but he has an aura about him I can't explain it and he was super nice he dapped me up thanked me for coming he even stayed 2 hours past to sign everyones stuff. Im gonna attach a picture so you guys dont think I'm B.S.'ing you when I get off work today. I also tweeted Dan Graham @coltsinsider I asked him to give a percentage of the Colts drafting Luck here was his tweet back to me.awesome, thanks for the info. It's just frustrating knowing that it seems set it stone, but at the same time there is a chance that Irsay/Grigs/PAgs go on a limb and go with RG instead, I hope not, but it's a possibility lol. Thinking about this "possibility" is going to kill me over the next 29 days lol.

BINGO...I agree Luck fits Colts system the best and Rg3 fits the skins system. I think it's a win win for both teams. Now all we need is for Irsay to let us know so we can all relax lol. Irsay is just so cooky you never know whats gonna happen. Ill let you guys know this Ive heard from a media member here in DC thats claiming the Colts informed Washington they have nothing to worry about they are getting there man (RG3) Plus some clues are out there Shanahan is a secretive man kinda like Belichick doesnt let the media know nothing. I think it's weird he's all over tv arm to arm with RG3 at his pro day in front of cameras yesterdays interview he's glowing and smiling just talking about him. To me if he wasnt sure he was getting him he would be tight lipped. Another clue is RG3 this saturday is doing an autograph signing in Chantilly VA 10 minutes away from redskins park and a few days ago the website announced that RG3 has agreed to sign Redskins items and if your a collector that goes to these card shows you know that doesnt happen usually if a draft pick does a signing before the draft all they will sign is theyre college teams memorabilia. So I think the majority of Colts fans and Skins fans will be happy.I just want to hurry up and sign Luck, I hate even thinking we would pass on him for RG3. Even though I think both will be successful in the NFL and great, I just believe Luck fits our system better and RG3 fits Redskins(Shanahan) system better. It's a great situation for both teams, now let the Luck Era begin.

Now I agree it's only been 7 games but as far as calling him an MVP candidate it's not far off look at his stats people. And for yall saying its all dink and dunk passin obviously your not watching games your just watching highlites of the game. read this article from SI. http://sportsillustr..._a2����He's looking to be the first qb to pass for 3500 yds and rush for 1000 no qb has ever done that not rodgers NOBODY. AND HE"S A ROOKIE. The hype is real its not just offseason hype anymore. There will be no book on him like you guys are saying about Cam Newton because theres 2 main skills RG3 has that seperates him from Newton. He has a Dan marino like quick release and his accuracy is ridiculous. With RG3 its pick youre poison you try to stop the run he will pick you apart like Rodgers. You back off to stop the pass he'll run all over you. If a play breaks down he can still make something happen. He's not just a runner he has it all. And the colts made a mistake and Colts fans need to understand that. Now it's not a huge mistake because Luck is a suberbowl caliber QB and it was the safe pick. Unfortuneately the worries people had about drafting RG3 are null and void. Also look what he's doing it with the Redskins wr's stink Garcon has been gone since week 1. Its amazing what he's doing with that offense. If the Redskins secondary wasnt the worst secondary of all time they would have a great chance of winning the NFC East and making noise in the playoffs. heres a video of highlites from weeks 1-7 and tell me he only throws screens...He dropped a dime to Santana for the lead TD against the G-men its a darn shame the secondary ruined his moment.
