Can anyone point me to more details about this? I live in Louisville and would like to make it, but I'm not sure if I want to brave 65 to get out there...
-
9??????? Man, the media still thinks we're some high school team.
Let them think that. The victories will be that much sweeter.
-
Interesting; if he's so high on Brown, the Moore signing is probably an indictment of Carter/Ballard.
-
Well, more competition for our weakest position is good. Could be our #2. Front Office yet again showing they'll go out and make moves to improve the roster.
-
Have you guys seen the reports on his low football IQ? Pretty much just freelances out there. Not exactly a good fit.
-
What's their salary situation like? Is this our chance to unload Freeney?

Brown has the early edge. Nothing unexpected.
-
Front office panicking after really seeing how bad our DB's really are in OTAs...
-
I don't care, as long as they are sure tacklers for our special teams. The past regime always ignored special teams.
-
Can't wait to yell great Fugger puns.
-
I'm not real familiar for 3-4 rosters, but carrying 10 LBs feels like too many.

I think we may be jumping the gun with Collie as our #2 WR. Avery could easily assume the role if he's healthy. It wouldn't surprise me to see him and Reggie on the field in the 2 TE sets. Heck, Hilton could grab that spot too.
-
Also, an interesting thought for our 2 TE sets would be moving Fleener to flanker and Collie to the slot. Match-up nightmare.
-
Think Hilton will get many looks? I'm expecting him to primarily be our return guy as long as Avery is healthy (aka 1-2 games )
-
This may be an exercise in futility since we have so many options it seems like, but how do you expect our offense to look for 2012? The addition of the two TEs raises so many questions. Will we even run 3-wide sets this year? Who lines up outside in the 2 TE sets? Will Allen play some H-back? Fun things to speculate about!
-
could very well be if that's the case I'd slot Rucker in as the third CB.
Yeah, or even Caldwell/Lefeged.
-
For our 4-3 defense look I see this:
DE - Freeney
DT - Nevis
DT - Johnson
DE - Mathis (could be Hughes if we leave Mathis at OLB)
OLB - Conner
MLB - Angerer
OLB - Edds at the moment but this could easily be Mathis or someone else and maybe play Hughes at end
CB - Powers
S - Bethea
S - Zibikowski
CB - Thomas
This is just speculation, but I think we'll run more nickel than 4-3, which will leave the line-up above and a 5th DB instead of the mystery OLB.
-
What positions do we need? The only ones as pressing as the offensive needs we've fixed are NT and CB, but apparently Pagano likes the CBs. Keep in mind our scheme was terrible last year, not necessarily the players...
-
Minni then Dennard at bottom of 6th/top 7th? Wishful thinking...
-
This is not a bad pick. Do you really think Luck will succeed with Wayne and Collie/Avery on the outside?
-
Get Luck more weapons... Randle at top of 3rd!!!
-
Randle tumbling... if he's there in the 3rd him or Ta'amu?
-
Moala is not even productive he played in 14 games with just 22 tackles, Nevis just played in 5 games and had 19 tackles..I'll take productivity and a motor over experience anyday when it comes to football
Agreed.
And are we really going to play much 4-3? I'm assuming everyone who is saying "4-3 front" really means nickel packages.

No mention of Austin Collie yet? I think he's worth a look as a late WR. I'd take him over Avery every day. In PPR it's not hard to imagine him being a Top 40 guy/ WR3 option. Look at the guys who fit that description last year: Tampa Mike Williams, Lance Moore, Doug Baldwin, etc.
