  1. Big bodied, yes ~ Field stretcher, no.

I would much rather have a 6'2'' receiver that runs 4.3 to stretch the field with that a TE that runs 4.5. We still need that vertical threat to open up the under for out TE's/slot guys

You don't have to run a 4.3 to stretch the field. Ask any CB going against Vincent Jackson...
  2. I've been saying for a while now we're set a receivers. Fleener is the that big bodied field stretcher that many are begging for, but Arians just didn't use him correctly. Blame some of that on injuries as well, plus TE's have a history of taking longer to adjust to the NFL. I can't wait to see Fleener line up at split end, with Hilton in the slot, opposite Allen and Wayne. Sounds pretty formidable to me.

  3. At this point, we have playmakers at WR. Anything we add above the depth-level Barden type is a luxury. We have too many needs to address luxuries at this point. Just be grateful we have playmakers; some teams don't have any!

As far as the "big target" receivers we "need," isn't that what Fleener and Allen are for? I imagine Fleener's measurables are in the same ballpark as Barden's.

  4. I dont understand everyones obsession with a "Big WR". All I would like is a reciever that can produce! idc what size you are as long as you are a reliable wr (sure hands, knows how to get open)..and since when does being big and tall make you better than someone that isnt?? I would take Jennings any day idc if he's 5'11 or 2'11 the guy can ball and yall know that. Yes, everyone would like a Calvin Johnson, but the problem is there is not many of them walking this planet. :blueshoe:

Those one guys were pretty good, and only 6'. I think their names were Marvin and Reggie.

  5. I'm still not sure TY's body is cut out for the outside. I think he'd be more effective in a Victor Cruz type role.

Seemed like he lined up outside an awful lot this year, with Reggie handling slot duties. I mean, Donnie Avery is about the same build with a worse injury history and he did fine outside. Others have said Brazill will suit the outside well, too. If we're going to get a WR, let's get a big physical guy that our offense is currently lacking, not another speedster like we have.

  6. We need a playmaker at safety. The Ravens and Steelers 3-4 was at it's best when they had Ed Reed and Troy Polamalu making plays in the secondary. Zbikowski is just a serviceable filler until we find that person. I see no reason why Lefeged couldn't do the same, though I doubt he is that person either.
