  1. I am worried the new regime may be too trigger happy and not allow players to develop if they have a tendency to use the broom instead of a brush.

At what point should Colts fans be worried that player loyalty and the relationship business aspect of business that the Colts have adhered to may be compromised with a new regime?

Yes, every cut can be justified in its own way but it is impossible for me to sit here and say that every need of ours will be fulfilled via free agency and the draft for the players we let go.

    Thoughts???

It makes ZERO sense to keep a bunch of overpaid old aging players... if we are rebuilding why should we keep paying top dollar for mediocrity. These name brand players are only a former shell of what they once were. Its a no-brainer to dump them at this point. This new regime is smart, give credit where credit is due.

  2. Peyton Manning's moving on.....

surely Jeff Saturday and Reggie Wayne....we're gutting our offense

First year GM, first year head coavch ..rookie QB

Now...it looks like Dwight Freeney will be moved and wants to go...Garcon, maybe

I know all about what the hope is for the future but I'd like to see something positive

now...This is as dark a time as I can remember for the Colts in Indy.

Does anybody else feel the same way... I wish we could just fast-forward to the draft

Is there anything concrete to be positive about right now..

I've argued with you in the past so many times and told you this day would happen and you never believed me. I think that you are too optimistic. This was projected by me to happen last September.

  3. I can't help but be angry with the "Suck for Luck" crowd. Be careful whatyou wish for.

Wishing for an up and coming QB that will extend the Colts to a winning team for the next 14yrs.. What's so wrong with that. It was our duty to let Manning go and play for a Superbowl contender, he owes us nothing more.

  4. It feels like everyone is gone from the team. All our favorite plays except Mathis and bethea. Everyone I grew up watching that was here is gone. There's a lot missing from the heart you know?...

We haven't been appreciative of this team like it deserved. We haven't really appreciated Peyton until now... I regret that.

OUR team is gone... Starting this new era will be kind of hard. Not knowing who the players are or what this team is going to be like. But the way I see it is once we get to know players and coaches, and the more we see how our team he forming. I can appreciate this team like it deserves. Because I watched the greatest of all times slip through the colts fingers. I can now appreciate MY team like it deserves.

GO COLTS!! I love you Peyton and I love the colts.

Well, look on the brightside, the Pacers are relevant once again. Can't have it all.

  5. This week only!

A complete NFL offensive skill position group with playbook!

Includes; Peyton Manning, Reggie Wayne, Dallas Clark, Joseph Addai, Pierre Garcon & Jeff Saturday.

Hurry - this offer won't last!

I'll offer 2 wins. What does that get me? Oh yeah, a broken QB and overpaid over-the-hill veterans. WHat did you expect would happen?

  6. i wouldnt really go as far as saying he dont have a chance, small or not the kid still has an arm, and knows how to handle the ball and keeping it in his possesion. he may have played in a weak conference most of his career, but games against teams like OU and TCU he showed he could get the job done. and TCU was not a team with a weak defense, they had a very good defense. Moore would be the perfect back up with any team. and to be honest and i cant really believe im saying this, but if the colts kept manning and drafted moore id be happy with it. I think moore will shock the NFL if given the chance. like new orleans back up chase daniels i thought the redskins should have kept him, he could be a very good QB. and moore would be good for the colts spread offense (that is if the new OC sticks with it, really hope he dont move to the WC offense, that offense isnt to productive)

you can believe that, but I'm not buying it. He was an amazing college QB, but sadly that won't cut it at the next level. He has poor arm strength, short height, and is rated very low on the list of project QB by professional scouts. He's lucky to even make the cut to even get a shot at 3rd string. That's a bet I would comfortably bet the farm on too.

  7. Addai was average at best, and getting old. I am not worried about RB position at all. Plus many other positions that need more attention right now. Brown and Carter will be fine for now I think. Not great but fine, eventually we will need to get a RB though.

I would even go as far to say Addai was horrible. He bounced out sideways and always lost a yard EVERY dang play. He was versatile enough to catch a pass from Manning and block, but besides that, he wasn't that great.

  8. Irsay and Grisgson = enemies

I hate them both with a passion. I can't believe they messed up this team in less than a week.

There is no excuse for what they are doing. This new GM is a joke. A horrible joke that just came in here and messed up our beloved Colts.

I hate you front office and I hate you Mr. Irsay. I wish the worst things for you.

    With this said, goodbye people.

If you are looking for an enemy. Blame Chris Polian. He single-handedly created this mess. Think about it, had he drafted well don't you think Manning would still be around because if a backup QB had won 6 games we wouldn't even be talking about blowing up and starting over.

  9. the rebuild is done to prevent consistent loosing, so after one year, fans were upset with a loosing record , so the owner decides to rebuild which could result in sub par season,

assuming the record is the same or average, how is this satisifying the fans, short -term like this past season,

is the owner not really pushing colts fans to the limits, pessimesticly we could make the wild card play off game,

what if in his goal to become competitive within 3 -4 years doesnt come to fruition,

i feel like we have been cheated out of the greatest player to play the QB position

You obviously forgot about the previous 2010 season we struggled to 10-6 only because of Manning having to dig us out after our D allowed an easy touchdown. They showed the sideline cam of Manning putting his helmet back on almost exhausted with an expression of 'you got to be kidding me, i have to go back out already soooo soon?' we started 6-6 and Manning put the team on his back. We literally broke the camels back. It was a sign of rebuilding!

  10. Luck, unless Pagano and Arians want to install a Tebow-esque offense. If that's the case, they will pick RG3.

If this is the case, there will be plenty of Running Backs available in the 2nd or 3rd round that could also fill this void. ;)

  11. thats why in another post i said try to draft kellen moore if he is available in the 5th 6th or 7th round. and then sign orlovsky or kerry collins to a small 1 yr contract to teach these kids.

Kellen moore is already small, he doesn't have to be taught that. He has no chance in the nfl.

  12. I saw this happening in September and saw us getting Luck. I guess I was never in denial like the rest of you. I even spoke my mind about the situation and told several members on here and was always ridiculed, so I can't say I feel sorry for any of you.

  13. 6-10 is kinda what I am thinking if that.

Our schedule is hard next year.

Home with Miami, Buffalo, KC (I think it could be the Browns), Vikings, Packers, Titans, Jags, and Texans

Road games at New England, Jets, Brown (again could be KC), Lions, Bears, Titans, Jags, and Texans

hmm... after seeing that schedule, I'm going to guess 5-10 at best. Maybe seeing this schedule is what scared Manning from resigning a short term deal.

  14. I have had a gut feeling for a while this team goes 9-7 next year.

So mark me down for a potential 9-7.

Might be wrong but then again I keep thinking "9-7."

BTW 9-7 might be good enough to sneak into the playoffs.

I'm thinking realistically 6-10. But i love the idea of optimism. The good news is, the following year we could have a good shot at 9-7.
