Relax, relax, I know I'm getting a reputation as a Brissett fanboy, well earned I might add, but I'm not going to argue that my boy JB is in any way as talented or proficient as his opponent tonight.

    With that said...

Patrick Mahomes knew he was having difficulty executing his offensive gameplan.  As a result... abslutely nothing happened.  No in game adjustment.  No change to the gameplan.  Patrick Mahomes believes first and foremost in Patrick Mahomes, and when he's not enough to solve the situation he doesn't know how to handle that.

JB knew he was having issues being as effective as he needed to be tonight.. and so the game plan very quickly adjusted.  As the early returns came in we went to the run more and more, I even  thought I saw a couple times when Brissett killed the play to hand the ball off.

Mahomes is a better passer.  He's a better scrambler.  But tonight brissett was the better leader.  And that sometimes counts for a lot more than pure prowess, as tonight's win clearly demonstrates

Mahomes was obviously hurting the entire second half. That limp got worse and worse as the game went on.  I dare say if he had been 100% the settling for FG would have bitten Indy in the butt big time!

That said the refs were sure trying get KC that win, I still can’t figure out ..

    A. How that was PI on Hilton.

    B. What evidence they saw to overturn the INT.

Two key plays that COULD have drastically changed the game.

mind you I am very happy Indy one!!

    Pats put Gostkowski on IR.

Zuerlein just missed a game-winner for the Rams.

No such thing as a sure thing at kicker in the NFL.  We might be grateful we still have Vinny down the road.

    :goat:

I was worried about Gostkowski I thought he had lost it this year.. I feel awful being relieved it was an injury causing his issue not a mental block.

Stafford is underrated by most, IMHO.  I'd be OK with that.

Yes, Tommy (I listen to Weis most every day) seems to defy Father Time...

Exactly! The trade was perfect for both teams. I dare say perfect for both players as well, I dare say a rare case where both teams won the trade.

We will be 2-2 after this week :funny:. I guess I had to change that one :spit:

Still in the race for the AFC South Crown! I like Brissett I think he will prove be a good starting QB, not a Luck or Brady good but perhaps Stafford good?

    Agreed!!!

A QB who touches the ball every snap and is the extension of the coach for your offense

    vs

a WR that plays maybe 50-60% of the snaps???

Brissettstill sitting on the bench here so..

I would have loved hearing the convo between Brown and the hoodie today.

BB: Antonio come to my office

    AB: (enters office close door)

BB: remember how I said if you messed up your gone and you lose all the money

    AB: Yes coach

BB: you didn’t mess up, you totally messed up your cut and we aren’t paying you.. Good Bye..

A leopard doesn’t change its spots. Are you really surprised? I get it, you wanted this reclamation project like some other ones to work out for your team but this one was beyond repair.

Oh God i was happy when they signed him I was hoping he be smart and just shut up and play football.  Mind you these texts were done after he was signed.. that was a No No with the Pats.

mind you they didn’t need him. There are not many teams who could challenge them before well 8 or 9.

  8. He is accurate, has good pocket presence and in 2 games hasn’t made a stupid mistake yet that will come because he is a rookie.

think the Jags got a steal in the 6th round.

Big Ben is having season ending surgery and Drew Brees is out until at least week ten or eleven. My guess is chad Kelly would not make it through waivers.

Add in the Jets Darnold our with Mono, and their backup has a broken ankle.  There #3 QB gets to play the Pats next weekend.. could QB #4 start the week after?

I should also note that the local news out here told us that the Patriots "sent a statement to the NFL" by beating up a team that had given up 59 points the week prior.

Yeah, like the margin of victory was ever in doubt for the game yesterday, whatever makes you go to sleep happy at night....

Brady was trying get AB involved early.. then they went full run mode since both starting Tackles were out of the game..  (score been a lot more lopsided if Canon and Wynn were not injured)

    715 passing yards, wow.

    Bold! Very bold!!

That's 188 more passing yards than the recent (after 1990) record holder, Matt Schaub's 527.

I was joking! But god the Phins STINK!  43-0 wow!!

  12. The one thing I find odd is, IF she was raped why not go to the police and press charges? Only been a couple years.. why do a civil lawsuit?

i would thinknif your going get the public scrutiny at least make the person pay criminally as well.. am I wrong thinking it’s weird?

  13. This happening has made it easy for the Pats to cut him and NOT pay him all his guaranteed money. Matter fact the contract says anything brings a bad image or press to the club or coach nullifies his guaranteed money.  (True or not I say this nullifies his guarantee)

  14. Tough loss for the Texans! As a neutral observer I’d say :

    1. Watson is the best QB in the division now. The fact he didn’t get rattled even after being hit so often is amazing.

    2.  Brees was amazing in the end and thank you Lutz for that long FG win my Fantasy football game.. lol

    3. Watson will not make the year with that line! My god he was hit so often! Imagine how well he would have done with a decent O line!?

    4. The South going be a tough division.. Tenn looked amazing, Texans looked good, and your Colts were a made FG away from a win against a very good Chargers team.
