  1. Dallas Clark - favorite Colt second to #18. Love watching Jack Doyle though, couple more years of his play I can see him creeping up on Dallas

Andrew Luck - man those early seasons and his combacks were fun to watch.

Dwight Freeney & Mathis - so many years of poor defenses, these two were typically bright spots of their respective positions.

Austin Collie/Stokley/Gonzalez - Not the most physically gifted set of receivers but timing in the Manning era was always so precise. Watching highlights of these guys and him is a beauty.

  2. I am glad he fumbled. I don't want to win another game this season. There is absolutely no benefit for this team to win any more games this year. It hurts to watch at times but it hurts more to see multiple years of mediocrity.

  3. I love how our defense has been playing this year, far from perfect but a lot of progress. Creating turnovers, run D has been balling and our young DBs are showing some definite promise. I think our loses and the two blowouts have been far more a result of a failing offense/coaching rather than a poor defense. From my eyes, we currently have the best defense we've had in recent years, I would say probably the best defense we've had in the Luck era.

I'm excited to get Luck back. I think we'll even see improvement with Kelly back and getting a couple weeks of practice back in. Not to mention Brissett and Mack starting to find some rhythm.

I'm pretty sure I saw a stat flash during the game that said we lead the league in drops.

You sure did see that stat. I think I saw after this week we are currently tied for 1st in the league in drops.

Also would like to add that Ferguson has been good. The few downs he was in, he made some plays, especially on those short passes. Much better than what we saw in the pre season.

I agree. I think the issue in pre-season was that we tried running him between the tackles. He's much more of a speed/open space guy. During the games we've definitely utilized him in a checkdown curl type roll. Fits him.

  6. We lost but I think our pass protection was great all game, against an incredibly talented d-line as well. Some hurries and a little unsteady to start the game but when things got settled Andrew was shredding Lions defense. I look forward to seeing that more often! Our defense will absolutely get better as we get healthier (hopefully), but it was nice to actually see our offense thrive.

If TJ is on a DPOY trajectory by the time Geathers returns, it'll be Geathers who sees the limited reps. It's not as if Geathers is some proven commodity. He can easily lose his starting job during this hiatus.

Completely agree with this. If TJ is playing at DROY level they aren't taking him out of the lineup.

Just seen where Paul Kruger was in the first wave of cuts for Browns. I know he only had 2.5 sacks last year but 12 the year before. Anybody think he could provide any help to a porous colts olb core? Im tossed on the idea because I think he is still good enough to be our 3rd best olb if he where signed but I'd also like to see Trevor Bates/Curt Magget develop. I know others like Okine but so far I haven't been impressed with him at olb. I think he should've stayed at DL. Id love to be wrong on him and see him tear it up in the regular season but I can see him getting the axe when we get to 53.

I saw this and wondered as well. 2 years ago everyone was incredibly high on Kruger. What happened? Curse of the Browns?
