I don't know, it seems like everything with the Falcons is just...too systematic. Seems like all I see Ryan doing his like 5 yard hitches/curls, doesn't seem like it takes a lot to get Ryan off his game.

I mean, it's not because we were facing great teams all of a sudden. We came out beating Oakland, New England, and Philly (I know their record says otherwise but if you compared rosters on paper you'd without a doubt say the Eagles are a million times more talented, but they just lacked any kind of chemistry or discipline). It's not like 08 where we came out beating the Seahawks, Jags, Raiders, and Rams, and then faltered under actual competition.

Pretty much ended our season right here...
-
I think the Bills. They were awful after that 3-0 start.
We were as good as 5-2, then everything went downhill from there. Half of our team was IR'd, and it doesn't help when you lose your most productive player, Fred Jackson, who accounted for 40% of our offense. Lots of key injuries at OL, our WR core was different than what it was at the beginning of the season, and we also lost one of our best defensive players, Kyle Williams.
Our defense does need to get better if we want to go anywhere though. Dareus and Williams though look like a force on our DL.
Anyhow, Patriots are due to finish to finish with as many wins as you can count on one hand, so I'll be expecting them to crash and burn.
....kidding.

Not to bring up bad memories, but I thought SB 44 was an incredibly fast Super Bowl, even faster than this one.

Can't ever hate on Kraft, terrific owner and we probably wouldn't have had an NFL season this year without him.
Myra's proud and she's watching.

So 3 out of NE's past 4 season shortcomings trace back to Bernard Pollard.
08, Pollard injures Brady, no playoffs
09, Pollard injures Welker, one and done
11, Pollard injures Gronk enough that he's not 100%, lose Super Bowl
Giants should give this guy an honorary ring or something.

You must be delightful to watch games with.
I was very quiet during the game. I was shaking the entire time, lol. I live in the heart of Patriots territory and dear god I couldn't handle this place blowing up again).
Most of my emotions during sports games are expressed online, lol. Not a very vocal person.
EDIT: If you really wanna see my work, I could show you the chat room I stay in during football games. Pretty colorful stuff from me.

I'm as pessimistic in sports as you can possibly get, my motto's always been "Patriots are the pencilled SB champs until disproven otherwise."
Anyhow, congrats Giants.
-
They scored to end the first half, scored to open the 2nd half. 14 points without the Giants EVER touching the ball.
Seriously, I don't know why people still believe in the "take the ball first, get a lead, set the tone" crap.
Always said that games are essentially decided at the coin toss.
Might as well hand the Lombardi over to the Pats.
'grats guys.

Patriots 34

Andre Reed snubbed out AGAIN

I try to get an update on the weather here and suddenly remember why I've been avoiding the news for the past month - do they really need to spend the first 5 to 10 minutes of the news covering Patriots and nothing but? I don't care of seeing the news putting up a picture of a Patriots fan showing his team spirit by wearing a Patriots T-shirt and having his dog next to him wear Patriots doggie clothes. Ugh. Also, I don't see why what is a weekly routine in the NFL like "Brady, Patriots preparing for Giants" has to be blown up. Yes media, teams, including the Patriots and their opponents, do something called "gameplanning" every week.
-
Looking back at the "Asante dropped the winning INT", I have to disagree. I saw the entire drive on NFL Network. The ball bounced off the tippy top of his fingers. The ball didn't go right through his hands. Asante would've needed an extra inch or two of height to have a legit shot at coming down with that ball IMO.
Aside from the Tyree miracle, there was also the 9 yard catch to Toomer on 3rd and 10 to set up a convertible 4th and 1 for the Giants earlier in the drive. Another overlooked defensive miscue was that 3rd and 11 play deep in Pats territory. Eli hit a wide open Steve Smith for a 12 yard gain. He was literally uncovered. This play setup the Plax TD.

Agreed, P-money. I was convinced that a timeout was going to be called. Instead, the Ravens rushed things.
As we saw in '07 and this year, the Ravens just can't manage timeouts well.
Another funny way to look at it is that the Ravens can't hold their own late in the game against NE, with the exception of the 09 playoff game.
That 07 game, the Patriots get stopped on 4th and 1 but was nullified by a Ravens timeout. The very next play the Ravens appear to have NE stopped again, but it was nullified by a false start penalty, making it 4th and 6, in which the Pats converted on a Ravens penalty. Heck, the funny thing is, the game ended on a Ravens hail mary that was caught at the Pats' like 2 yard line.
The 09 regular season game, it came down to the final drive of the game, where Clayton on the Ravens dropped a pass deep in NE territory on 4th and 3, ending the game.
Last year, the Ravens couldn't hold on to a 10 point lead, and lost in OT. You know what I think kickstarted the rally here (kind of a pun)? After Cundiff kicked the FG for Baltimore to go up 10, on the following kickoff he kicks the ball out of bounds. The last thing you want to do is give the ball to Brady on his own 40 in his own house...
-
I don't think Baltimore's defense played that bad. They held the explosive Patriots to 23 points and gave their offense several chances to win the game. Plus, the defense came up with two big stops on New England's last two possessions, one of them being that mind-blowing interception in the end zone and the other being a stop on 3rd down with 2 minutes left.
Also, without a running game? For a very good chunk of the game BJGE did a pretty efficient job running.

Nicks didn't even play in the regular season matchup and the Giants still won in Foxboro. And Victor Cruz has only gotten better as the season has gone on. G-Men will be fully rested and I think they put a beatdown on the Pats. Gonna look something like this:
Sad thing is, that's probably a penalty these days for driving the QB into the ground...
-
Well....it's up to the 49ers/Giants...
How the Patriots get this lucky every year is beyond me...
After losing to the Giants, they get an uber easy schedule, paving the way for a #1 seed
They get 2 byes
They play like utter crap vs the Ravens from the top down and they still lose

**** YOU EVANS
**** YOU CUNDIFF
****ing great
Now I need to ****ing hear about how Tom Brady is the most awesome thing in the world for ****ing two weeks
How can the PATRIOTS BE THAT GOD **** ****ING LUCKY
They turn the ball over three times
Evans can't hold onto a ****ing pass
And now CUndiff can't make a ****ing chipshot FG
Please Giants/49ers.....just PLEASE don't let Brady get a 4th ring...
-
FLACCO, THROW IT ANYWHERE ELSE BUT AWAY ON 4TH DOWN
Well
Playoffs over
Super Bowl over
Now I need to throw up and watch Brady get a 4th ring
-
Well, Flacco's not making this 4th down and Cundiff won't make the FG.
Just hand the AFC Title trophy over to the Pats
So I can watch the NFCCG
-
Well, this game is over.
'grats to the Patriots.
Might as well start painting one of the end zones in LOS with the Pats' logo.
-
You know what the best part of this game was?
I live in a family of Patriots fans and everyone was over today. Everybody was badmouthing Eli up and down.
-
#($**($#(*ing darnit, how lucky can NE be that Reed injures himself on the LAST PLAY OF THE GAME?
I'm banking on he doesn't play.
Bernard Pollard Leaving A Mark In Nfl History? Isn't That A Stretch?

But one Patriots fan told me that if Pollard was on the Patriots, he'd probably sit on the bench with the team, break the bench, and then shatter the ACLs of every Patriot player on the bench...and with NE's luck, the people who were sitting on the bench who fell off probably were the starting offensive players.
