  1. I’d never ever boo the man, I truly believe he is the goat kicker in the nfl over his career but reality is this season has been a very bad one for him and I think he should hang it up. Difference between booing and criticizing him on this forum.

Telling message board members to ‘breathe’ or ‘relax’ after their team, the team who this message board is about, loses in such an ugly fashion, is about the most pointless endeavor you can take on a football message board. What the hell else are people gonna talk about, how solid Banogu looked? Or Rock Ya-Sin not getting burnt to a crisp 10 times?

I don’t think anybody’s standing on a ledge over this but there are absolutely some criticisms that can be put on the team without the blue colored glasses types getting all holier than thou at every other post.

This x1000. Feel like participation trophies would be welcomed around here. We can say we lost by only 2pts without our QB1 (they also didnt have their QB1) so it was not a bad result on paper but if you actually watched the game you would see that we do have various weaknesses. The criticism comes out of love for the team.

I think this guy knows a bit about kicking and holding and the effects of different things

On this particular kick - yes the laces were facing vinny, but that kick was wild even so. But what about all the other kicks he has missed? Including XP's...

Yeah. im gonna take guys that have been doing it in the NFL's opinion over a guy that kicks a much different ball and may never kick an NFL ball.   Vinny is our kicker,   they will figure it out

When will they figure it out? We are halfway through the season and it's not lookin great in the kicking department to say the least. It's easy enough to just nod and agree with everything the coaches and front office say but from what I can see their 'confidence' is rather delusional.

We need to be realistic and face facts... If anyone has full confidence in our kicking game you gotta be kidding yourself. Those of us who are disappointed with Vinny and co. just want to see a player do his job and for the Colts to win. That's all.

Perhaps they should sign Trent Cole and Andre Johnson.

I would have liked to see the Colts trade for Fitzpatrick, but I don't blame Ballard for not bringing in a WR.  We had Hilton, Pascal, Rogers, Ebron, Doyle Campbell and Cain.   Funchess due back soon as well.  Hindsight, maybe it would have been nice to grab someone.  Ballard hasn't been perfect, but I much prefer his method to most others.

Fitzpatrick would have been such a great addition to the team, wish we did it even if it cost a 1st rd pick.

if colts win then they will be #1 in the division again through a tie breaker

if we lose, we have the texans next and can tie the division if we win that one.  Miami is a should win game, but not must win in the standings

Miami is a must win game. Purely so we don't become a laughing stock! If we lose to Miami I truly don't know what to think of this team...

I think our no.1 need is a damn pass rush. Seriously we gave the Steelers QB all the time in the world (apart from the safety), I really hope we address the d line in a big way next off-season.

What. Our defense played great. He only haven up one big play.

Really? Our D was disappointing IMO. Our pass rush is poor in general, Rock has been a let down and we easily give up short yardage and allow teams to keep moving the chains.

    That's what I've noticed anyway.

I’m a fan of Reichs play calling to date and in general the offensive game planning. Gobs of creativity which we haven’t seen in ages.

The exciting part is that he’s still working out the kinks. There were some calls that left me scratching my head in the Texans game. 4-1 toss run play early in the first half was too risky in that part of the field for me; tosses work great if you catch the defense by surprise and are able to run block well on the perimeter. On that down, the entire defense including corners were selling run there. My vote would've been an inside run behind Big Q or a play action pass if you’re going to go for it; call a boot leg (spider 2 y banana?) or a PA power o there.

And then the late 4th quarter drives that should’ve burned the clock but instead took little time away from an explosive Texans offense. I understand the desire to be aggressive with the Texans being effective in stopping the run all day up until that point, however there are just times to run the ball or call short, high-percentage pass plays to run the clock and force time outs.

Overall Reichs ability in play calling and tailoring game plans to attack opposing defenses weaknesses is refreshing and hoping this continues to trend upward as it has because if so we could be looking an exciting rest of the season.

Couldn't agree more with this post. that toss on 4th and 1 had me baffled but I also think Reich is a great coach and i love his willingness to go for it on 4th in general. I have very high hopes for him and look forward to him being our coach for a long * time.

On another note, I was looking at the schedule we have ahead and dare I say it, I think we win all but 2-3 games as long as we keep game planning well and JB plays as well as he has been. Fingers bloody crossed! I know every game is a big game but for me this next one against the Broncos is huge, it's a game we should for sure win especially at home and my best mate supports them and we always talk mad % to each other about our respective teams lol.

  7. The way I see it, you can be a big fan and love your team but also have a rant when you see bad performances. I will always be a Colts fan even if we have awful seasons (like we have in the past) but that doesn't mean I cant get * off when I see us giving up 3rd down after 3rd down for example. I see it more as being passionate, but I don't lose sleep or hold a grudge over bad play or a lost game that's for sure.

It's no fun if everyone is just like 'ah well onto the next one :)'. This is a discussion board and opinions of all types are welcome even if they are way over the top and negative lol - makes for some entertaining reading at least. Competitive sport isn't about being okay with being average and fans shouldn't see it that way either.

This team is lacking a replacement for Al Woods. He took up double teams allowing LB’ers to clean up. We’re also banged up. We’ll bounce back next week

The games we’ve lost we’ve still been in them. Some of you are overreacting. Even questioning Ballard for all that he has done. This roster is light years better. We’ll be fine next week.

I have no idea what makes you think this. The Chiefs....Arrowhead....Mahomes.... lol
