This is so damn random. Luck is the last person I'd expect to be occupying Antonio's mind let alone making a rap about lol.

Well, let's hope Ballard doesn't get weird and fool around!

Going for bargain bin QBs should not be an option. It's so weird to me seeing people prefer getting a DEFENSIVE TACKLE over a QB... And settling for the 7th QB just so you don't pick QB in R1... It's weird
Some might consider gunning for a QB with 20 TD's and 17 INT's at college level weird as well.
I'm not gonna pretend I have seen Love play much but I would be worried to pull the trigger on him with the 13th pick when clearly we have quite a few needs and this draft has proven studs at those positions. I keep reading on here that Love has amazing athletic ability as well but again I look at the stats and he has a 2.2 rush average over 81 attempts. I know stats don't exactly tell the whole story but I think you need better than that to be picked at 13.

I would've thought Gordon would be available later than our 2nd pick. I'd pick a beast DT and WR with the first two picks then hopefully get someone like Gordon with the 3rd.

Obviously that would be a great result with those FA signings lol but drafting 2 CB's with 2 high picks, I dunno about that - maybe just 1 CB within the top 4 picks. Also I recall reading that Tarik Black has entered the transfer portal so assuming he wont be declaring for the draft this year?

I believe this has been said already, maybe in other ways. But, from an organizational stand-point, you do not give your plan B a try unless you are ready to make the decision that your plan A isn't going to work. 'Not working' is not the same thing as 'not going to work'.
The Colts have to be 100% ready to walk away from their current QB if they think they'll sit a healthy Brissett to let Chad Kelly have a start. It possible the move could spark intense competition that makes them both better. Its happened before. But its not the only thing that has happened before. You could also destroy a budding confidence who may never recover as well as trespass on a fragile eco-system that is rooting for 'their guy' (Brissett's allies, aka 'the locker room').
In the football world, the business world, and personal relationships; you just don't start looking to see what you have in a new thing, if you aren't ready to destroy the old thing. You have to be done with it. It is my belief the Colts aren't there yet. Not for Chad Kelley, at least. The draft, that's different - that's just business. But sitting your starting quarterback just to see if the other guy is good enough, could/would damage the faith and confidence Brissett is going to need to become the guy we all need. If there is any chance of that remaining, and for sure there are glimpses of that, then no way does a competent headcoach (nor a front office) allow themselves to undermine Jacoby Brissett.
In the football and business world if you are not performing there is a good chance you get replaced. The age old saying 'it's not personal it's business' comes to mind in this scenario. Or if the Colts are that worried about hurting JB's feelings then they could tell him they don't want to risk our QB1 getting injured so instead we are gonna start the backup as these games don't even matter for the season... as it's over...because we were't good enough. Also, not sure how confident JB was feeling from the 2nd half of the season onwards.
There is a chance Kelly also sucks but we won't know now.

Other than the running game the whole team sucked. The defense was just as bad as Brissett and I don't see too many talking about that.
Maybe because this topic is about Brissett? took me 1 min to find a thread about how the D is also bad
1 hour ago, 2006Coltsbestever said:Don't you know by now the QB or Coach get all the blame. I have posted that for 5 years now. Brissett could throw 400 yards, 4 TD's, no INT's but if we lost it would be his fault how most think eventhough the D gave up 35 or we missed a 30 yard FG for the victory
You are living a fantasy. AV got plenty of % thrown his way when he was bad, rightly so. As mentioned above - so does the Defense... JB hasnt thrown a TD or more than 200 yards in 3 straight games lol.

That is thing I do not understand, why does 90% of the forum believe Chad Kelly would be a better option over JB? That is like they are saying they know more than Reich and Ballard. Believe me, if Reich and Ballard thought Kelly was far better he wouldve been playing by week 8 after JB's injury. That is common sense.
That's all fine, but why not sit Jacoby once we found out we couldn't make the playoffs? the last couple weeks would've been good for Kelly to start because those games mean nothing. I've seen the occasional comment that JB's poor play may have something to do with his injury, if that is the case (which is probably just a cover up cos JB is a sub par talent) then again - rest him for the last couple weeks. I honestly see no logical reason to start our 'best' out of a bad bunch of QB's for the last 2 weeks.
Anyway, this debate has been going in circles fro months now... We will never see CK play and hopefully we won't see JB playing much more either.

Heard he gives a killer foot rub.

If Brian Hoyer is JB's role model then I feel bad for JB.

Hoyer was a terrible idea in the first place. How the # did Ballard see anything in firstly Philip walker then Brian hoyer?
When we first brought this guy in people were like he is a great mentor, locker room guy and will help JB... lol I’m interested in players who can play the game - and this guy can’t.

We have our 3rd string QB in, our number 3 WR as the starter. Honestly some of y’all have some wild expectations.
dude the fins basically have a backup team. Why are you looking for excuses?- 1

I wouldn't be upset if they bring Kelly in. But he has had zero reps . He isn't prepared to play. Frank needs to reign Hoyer in and call a better game
You gotta start getting reps sometime. Hoyer is very immobile and apparently can’t pass all that well either. If alarm bells aren’t ringing for people when we are 10 down to the fins then I don’t know what to tell you all.- 1
